In the repair did you measure the the engine block for the block boring ect or send it to a correction shop for that?
On this engines are nicasil cylinders so no need for touching just little clean if you want.

if the engine that you can't see inside was this bad, i can't imagine how the peripherials are (brakes, frame, subframe, suspension etc).
suppose the frame-subframe is good this bike worth about 2k so you add 3-4 more to make safe to ride.
it requires know a lot about gsxr's and it's not for everyone.
i hope it ended well and the bike rides good.
how did you corrent the cracks-this parts on block that had glue on them, and the engine mount?
after working on bikes for 27 years, the worst basket cases are almost always GSXR's lol. I think I would have stripped this one for parts, and told the owner to buy something else. The block can be repaired, by a competent TIG fabricator.

Yes it is vacuum gauge and this is done to synchronize throttlebodies...
The owner should be there, for better explanation for such nasty stuff

I bought gsxr 1000 k8 on january 2021, bike was really good and then suddenly everything is fucked up, previous owner is a total dickhead who pretend to know about maintaining the bike.
So i was very convinced and pretty sure that the bike is healthy.
Until today, i already break apart the engine 4 times!
First it was some head gasket problem
And then it was a leak problem on the bottom left of the engine near the generator.
The third time is the worst, bearing bush broken, i have to completely break it apart, changed all the bearing bush, the piston ring, lot of gaskets and etc.
2 weeks ago, i have valve stem seals leak and have to buy 16 of em.
Fuck it I’m done with gsxr.
It is actually a good bike but it feels like the bike exist only to ruin my wallet.
In your opinion, which bike that has a good durability? Yamaha R6 2017 or Kawasaki ZX636 2014? Which bike has more spare parts and easy to obtain? Cheap parts also considerably important here.
Oh before anyone comment about my riding style, im more like a relax person, i nver revved up my bike to the limit or do any unimportant stunts like wheelie and etc.
I just want a reliable bike with cheap spare parts.

I bought a GSX-R1000 2007 last October with only 17XXX KM on it.
I just replaced the broken windscreen and depleted battery with new ZERO GRAVITY and YUASA.
I've ridden it for 7500KM, everything worked just fine, no leaking, nothing's broken, hopefully it should not give me shit in the future.
I rode it mainly on highway, what surprised me most was that the fuel consumption was only 4.4~4.5L/100KM👍
