From what I can ascertain, (spoilers)
The MC finally transforms into the curse that she is infected with, and the champion residing, with the full moon, etc, is referencing her. Something is threatening Darkwick, and since MC must stay there, a ghoul must pay a sacrifice to protect the world. Then, the curse will finally be released. This is why Ren says “it’s all because of you.”

Can you only ever save one character in entirity? Or you can choose after you finish the story you had chosen?

You can only save one character, but the character you pick has no impact on the game from what we've seen so far. The one you choose becomes your first SR card, but you get more cards as time goes on.

Since in the opening the school ground is on burn(?) Probably after that the game will focus its route with the character the player save 🤔

The house you were assigned to has no affect on gameplay or the story from what we've seen so far. Its just a fun quiz for you to do in the beginning.

As far as we know there is no impact on the story. The character you choose is your first sr character. This doesn't matter very much as you'll get more as time goes on, but if you want easier game play it's best to choose someone with a better skill set.
