Yep those salmon patties with onions and bell peppers! Everytime I visit my younger sister Brenda in NC she makes those salmon patties for me. We start reminiscing about our early days in Alabama.
I use to mix my salmon with my grits too! Food has changed so much that the only thing that still taste the same is: Little Debbie's oatmeal pies and Edward's lemon meringue pie. I grew up in the early 70s and food was just better then. My mom says that food in her younger days was even better than the 70s. Chicken wasn't slippery out of the pack like it is now; Orange Sherbert Ice cream was awesome and Potted Meat and Spam WAS delicious and it didn't have that nasty jelly crap in it. I really miss the 70s and early 80s, those times are gone and what we have now will get worse. Food and people has really changed for the worse. Wow!! I think I said something there! After all you are what you eat.
