      @@kingbingbong1920 well I meant like for any level obviously the professionals use pro tools for vocals and stuff and fl for beats. Every daw has different benefits, like no-one uses FL for live performances they use ableton or reason or something. So I disagree saying its the best DAW for ANY level.

    With the ghost notes I used to stretch them all the way out but it's hard to see the notes you're playing with other instruments sometimes. Now I just make then small like 1/4 step and then put them every beat

    You're the fucking MAN!!!!! This helped me out sooo much dude. I've been a drummer for 18 yrs (32) and I've been dying to find an easier way to write shit in Piano Roll. The Scale Highlighting/Automatic setting is exactly what I've been dying for..THANKS!!

    I use sundog studio in place of scaler. It does pretty much the same thing though

    Also once you found a scale or progression u like in scaler you can put scale lock and play melodies over the chords so you def wouldn't be out of key! Not sure if u seen that but im sure you know by now. Oh well for those who don't know. Also there is chord prism.

    When you go to helpers in FL12 the detect score scale option is the same thing as using automatic in this newer version.

    the problem i find with the scale detection mode is that it seems to always be shift modes every time i use borrowed chords or notes. otherwise it is a pretty rocking feature. thanks for the post

    there is a way to change the colors from the piano roll options to any colors you want for you backgrounds and you can invert the color of the grid too.

    I have a question for all producers in the comments...When I’m making beats I come up with melodies quick but then it takes me forever to find the best drums like i spend time looking for the best snares or percs do you think I’m over thinking it?     You don't need to draw out the chords yourself. You can simply hit the triangle drop down menu > scale highlighting > then right click the key and type of scale and it automatically does it for the whole piano roll.
