I hit play on this to provide some background music while I worked. It seemed a good idea at the time, but the first finger striking the piano key pulled at a thread in my mind. Gently at first, clutching one after another until they became a string, the cacophony of notes in 97202 weaving into a rope that tugged my head back until my gaze was fixed on the ceiling. I don't recall when the second track started, I was already wandering through the sadness of setting free a love that hadn't even occurred yet. The rope guided me through future experiences I hadn't dreamed of and reminded me of a past I hadn't lived. I felt despair for a life I didn't own, and happiness for a time I could only dream of. I don't know where I have been for the last half hour but I just arrived at the present. None of my work has been done but I have lived a life. Do you think my boss will understand if I show him the dried tear on my cheek?
This and melody summer hold a very special place in my heart. I was 19 listening to the tumbled sea. I'm almost 31 now. I wonder what happend this person. I hope they are okay. This music has touched so many of us. I wish this person knows that. May Is my favorite from this album. I had a breakthrough experience one night after I had told him to play it. I felt an absolute unconditional love for myself that I have barely felt since then. I hope everyone else is doing okay too. I love you all!!!
Ha! I feel you. I heard this album once about seven years ago. I literally just spent 4 1/2 hours trying to recall the name of the project or album. Luckily, I emailed that info to myself way back. A favor to my future self, I suppose. Such beautiful work. Glad to see I'm not the only one who appreciates it so.
Oh my god I have never been such near to crying... And I never cry... Really never, neither if hallucinations try to opress me or take my sense of emotions or parts of reallity becoming real which aren´t and unreal which are. But wait - I just cry for love. And that´s love, music is the same love which a human can give to you. I think I might have lost a tear. The first song stroke me deeper right into my heart as anything other in live, expect all with my ex boyfriend. Music is life, music is love. Thx m8 for producing, and thx my other mate for uploading. May the force be with you. Forever. God, I´m crying again... This beautiful music, I can´t stop writing how great it is... Now at minute 8 the children have been talking, that was beautiful...
It feels like home, that place you've always craved for and found after a long and weary journey. Sometime all you need is a blisfull and warm embrace like this album. Thank you!
Music for when reality becomes too much. Never heard of them before, so thanks for sharing - I went and bought it yesterday. Artists like this deserve support.
There is something therapeutic about this album.I cannot put my finger on what it is exactly but it is there. A wonderful album that helped me relax and focus in a rough day.
I thought 97202 would be without a doubt my favorite song of the album, just by listening to it once. But then I listened to Emily's Song and, I have to admit, nothing is going to beat this one. Love you 💌🎭🎪
Fantastic album, peaceful and meditative it helps me hug my loneliness and gaze to the future with hope! Thank you post-rock, thank you for uploading this buddy!
The new Eluvium track 'Vibration Consensus Reality (for Spectral Multiband Resonator)' brought me right back here listening to track 7, 'Sleeps' It made me so happy hearing Sams likeness in Matts composition I couldn't stand it!!!
I'm used to working with post-rock albums in the background. This one was very nice to listen to while studying! I love when there are some background noises like coffee places and all that jazz because it makes it atmospheric, somehow. When "May" started, I was surprised to hear a voice. The whole piece was mesmerizing and dazzling and I had to pause my work to actually listen. I was kind of unsettled when it finished playing, but I'm glad for this whole album, really.
is there any way to buy this album/support the artist?? I keep looking everywhere but don't find anything, the bandcamp link is gone ): I just really love this and the other album (melody/summer)
Same. It drives me crazy that I have been listening to and enjoying this music for many years but still can't find this artist anywhere, nor buy the music, nor donate somewhere.
@@solokom I tried tracking him down a while back, and all I've found out is that his name is Sam Lee and that he used to be part of a semi-famous band called Magic Man. Unfortunately, with his somewhat generic name, he's a bit hard to track any further, and so I couldn't find a social media account to ask him any questions or see what he's been up to. I can only hope for the best and assume he's doing well for himself if he's chosen to remove donation links and ways to purchase his work.
This album is really beautiful. Shame that it's not available to stream or buy anywhere at least that I can tell (besides this UA-cam page). I searched it out after hearing "Emily's Song" on "a.m. ambient" run by the same couple who do the "ambient sleeping pill" online radio station.
It used to be on Bandcamp. Not sure why it got taken off. When I googled it recently I found an archive where you could download all of the songs. Not sure how to support the artist directly though.
14:37 To begin at the beginning- that's Richard Burton in Dylan Thomas' play Under Milk Wood, set in a Welsh seaside village: ua-cam.com/video/uuPO2Kvqlms/v-deo.html
Cool album, but why this is considered Post-rock? Does the band normally plays that genre except during this album? Anyone friendly enough to explain that to me? Thanks, btw.
@worldhaspostrock any idea where i can d/l this album? so far 40+ minutes of searching has been nothing but dead ends. not trying to rip off the artist, i mean a site where i can pay and d/l. any ideas?
To everyone loving this, as I am, might I recommend () by sigor ros. a bit of different sound but i think it will resonate with many of you. also explosions in the sky for even more of a different sound but evocative all the same.
I'm glad to hear some Minecraft music, takes me back to the time where all i did was to play video games, eat icecream and climb shit with my friends... what's it called. Ah yeah. Childhood.
Sam, if you're reading this, thanks for your work. It means a lot to me and to quite a few other people.
hear, hear

Every song in this album feels like a warm hug. And the worst part, is letting go.

usually I leave several videos running while I study or whatever, but this made me pause and just listen to it for a moment because it's so good

I feel like I'm finally ok with everything that happened when listening to this.

There is finally a marvellous soul flying around us after a funeral in the moment when the friends leaving the place to go for beer and coffee ...💫
trying not to let myself be destroyed by emotions, I think it's a beautiful album
I agree. Children Building This Rainman Out of Snow is such an underrated masterpiece.
I was going to go to sleep, but damn, this is so beautiful that it got me hooked up, oh well, who needs to rest anyway.
yorki44 this is quite peaceful, I am using it to fall asleep
I was listening giaa, and then sleep. Here I am
I could picture this in a beautiful film or video game. This would make the most astonishing soundtrack, once again thank you for sharing!

Beautiful music. Truly emotional. I'm in love with that piano
