I love how Joe said DP's Switch port sucks when he's playing the PC version. While Switch DP is far from the ideal version at least I never had to perform occult incantations in order to get the game to not crash every 5 seconds playing on the Switch.
when did he say that? The Switch version is like, the objectively best version of the game. By far the most stable version, doesnt have the awful directors cut cutscenes jammed in, and they put back in yorks amazing grin from FK in the coffee
@@doki531 Joe said that earlier in this video, that he expected the Switch version to be worse... even though DP on PC is one of the worst PC ports of any game ever Anyway, I'm pretty sure the Xbox One/Series X version is the best way to play the game, it has the fastest loading times (making it so that the peaking mechanic actually works without enduring painful loading screens,) driving is far less janky, it has the top-down view for the sliding-block puzzles where you help at Keith's store making them not frustrating, it doesn't have missing textures like every other re-release since the OG 360 release, and is the least crash-prone version of the game.

@@Kat_kr Flower Sun and Rain, an adventure game directed and written by Suda51 prior to his work Killer7 and No More Heroes, the game is basically what happens when you take that one moment from Earthbound where you stand in front of waterfall doing nothing for 5 IRL minutes and makes an entire game around that. When I first played the game I wasn't even sure if I liked it, I only realized just how much I really loved it months after finishing it since I could not stop thinking about the game for about 2 years after my first playthrough.
If Zach actually took the message in coffee seriously he would of solved the case like day 1. For a Psychic Detective he's useless and everything that happens in the story he is at least partial responsible for not stopping.
It's funny how he goes on a rant about how compatibility mode doesn't do anything, except it's literally the only way I could get the game to run at a decent framerate.

I know for a fact that some programs run different in vindows wista/7 compatability mode, usually for the worst and should be unnecessary for any steam games, but I'm pretty sure some gog versions of games use the same files from disk based games and those run better with compatability mode. I think the og red factions needed that for me.
Yeah windows compatibility mode is definitely not just a placebo but it doesn’t always work that well. I’ve actually had better luck getting some old games to run on Linux through wine than windows compatibility mode - which is very surprising.

Actually you can beat the side quests whenever but you have to repeat Chapters.
