For example, the Snake-Eyes Mini-Boss has this grab attack where she uses her gun to grab you and then shoot. Normally for a grab attack, it means, you need to get away (even jumping gets you grabbed), but this attack can actually be perfectly parried which gives you a better possibility to counter attack. And again, this isn't even including all the potential ways you can exploit weaknesses by using special tools. Good old Ongbal after all started his channel with Sekiro videos and not Elden Ring ones. There is a lot of depth despite the fact that the game gives you more information during fights.

But a lot of these things depends if you go for it in the first place. He mentioned earlier in the video that he didnt need a single healing potion because he just got the gourmet perk... but in my playthroughs I usually purposefully go for an alchemy build, making gourmet redundant, and even bad to waste a slot on. Oils are useful, concoctions are insanely strong. But Joe didnt get to appreciate it because he didnt see an initial push for it. It's a shame. Its partly a developer flaw because they made potions, bombs and oils unecessary if you focus on another build and also a player flaw because you can just decide to not go for that build. Seriously, it is fun to hunt for materials and recipes to upgrade bombs and potions, it is a witcher-like experience, and more tangible than just "get perk, do more damage"

Elden rings graphics will hold up well with time. You can’t say the same for unreal engine games that try to be hyper realistic and end up with plastic, robotic doll people and similar frame rate issues without any of the beauty that a game like Elden ring can have. I just read the Mushoku Tensei LN series. It is a banger. 26 volumes. Took me about a month. The anime is at about book 14, and the series goes off hard at book 15. There's like 5 different kinds of time travel manipulation going on, and the first 14 chapters are just setup. What was going on with the displacement indecent? How did Sevenstar and MC get isekai'd? Millis Church's God, blessed children like Zenobia, Great Powers, Dragon Gods, reincarnation, Sword Gods, Man-God, cursed children, beast prophesy hints. There's a lot.

Joe complains about the damage being too high and not being able to be more tanky and then he doesn't use a single defensive buff. Like you can easily reach 85-90% elemental absorption in the DLC. Against boss like Messmer and Radahn it makes a huge difference. That also would solve the "levels feel useless" because investing in faith would give you an incentive to level up. I think Joe will never fully appreciate ER because the game has so many RPG elements and he'll always stick with basic sword and nothing else.

My least favorite part about elden ring is applying buffs one at a time. Wish I could bind my load out to one button press and expedite my buff process
