Going over my user info with the new boat and found that there is an emergency pull start kit mounted in the motor cowling. Many folks do not know about this and your experience having to troll back to the truck made me think to share it here. Keep the adventures coming, thanks for sharing!
Wow, I can’t believe that. Thank you so much for letting me know. I’m going to probably put that in a video so that people know like I appreciate it so much and we’re gonna be making some more content so standby and thank you for all of your great comments.
Appreciate your videos on the SG V16, very helpful on our purchase; we did take your advice and went with the 50. Picked up last week and have added the advanced GPS and a Bimini top (gets warm in TX). Next up is the gas tank…Will you share the model number or a link? Yours fit extremely well. Thanks!
@@kayandclay1979 hey thanks for the comment! Glad I could help and congratulations on the new boat!!! That’s awesome 😎 and yes I can link the items in the description or I’ll try to link them in this comment! www.amazon.com/Scepter-08669-Rectangular-Fuel-Tank/dp/B004APFLPA?source=ps-sl-shoppingads-lpcontext&ref_=fplfs&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
I got my SG from BPS in Tacoma a month ago. I just put on advance gps from Lakeside Marine and the mini remote is sweet. Spot lock is amazing. Took 10mins to swap it. If you want to void your warranty you can remove the restrictor plate and swap an ecu from a Merc 60hp and boom, you got a 60hp. The 40-50-60 are the same minus ecu tuning.
Well, congratulations on your new boat. That’s so cool and thank you for the idea. I’m definitely going to have to check into that and see if I can do that and there will be a video on it so thank you so much. I didn’t know you could do that.
@@ThePaisteTrout477 nope, not needed. 3 options for remote control. Bluetooth via phone, mini remote or big remote. I went with the mini. If you want to use the drift mode it requires an additional puck installed on the boat deck.
@@austinjolley1189 also do you guys prime your prime bulb before launching? I’ve found I don’t need to, but I see some other doing it. This thing is super fuel efficient!
Had ours since April, got the 50 on it. Runs about 32MPH with two people and gear if the water is nice and smooth. We love the boat but they could have done some things different.

@austinjolley1189
Hey man, did you have to get a Humminbird unit to run the spotlock?

Good insights, dude. Why they decided to make the gas tank only 6 gallons is still a mystery to me. Crazy small.
thanks man Its the base model but they definitely went backwards on some things its unreal bro!! thankyou for watching

Hey thanks for the comment and I agree! Some things seem over looked and cheap to be honest
If both of your batteries are 12 volt carry jumper cables just incase the cranking battery dies on you.
