OMG I LOVE YOU!!!! THE LAST ADVISE TO SOFT RESET YOUR PHONE BY HOLDING DOWN THE POWER BUTTON SAVED THE DAY!!! My phone went unresponsive as I was reading a message on whatsapp and it stopped scrolling and later on the screen went black. I couldn't do much as its non-removable back cover device.

Cheers mate, mine just crashed and was completely unresponsive. I tried holding the power button and the volume keys for about 5 seconds as this is what restarted my old phone but it didn't work. Thanks again!

my nexus 5 crashed 2 an a half hours ago and i tried to take the battery out but unfortunately that's not possible so i gave up on it and then i tried holding down the power button and few seconds later it worked i'm so happy now.

Nothing, it just crashed and then the screen turned off. Had to just hold the power for 10 secs. I did try that but obviously didn't hold it for long enough haha.
