I can't justify this plane at the current BR. I love the J-8B but it just doesn't hold up against top tier Gen 4's without even Pl-11's. The missiles are still too flare hungry to actually be viable on anything more than somebody not paying attention. If we were back into the old days pre 9L nerf, then I would be saying differently. But right now, the "meta" (ie what doesn't suck) is the aim-54's, especially with the new lovely bug where they don't ping RWR; and really any SARH other than the French S530D/F. You are forced to fly super low to the ground and have no opportunities to get behind the enemy team thanks to the larger maps, increased players, and how favorable it is to use SARH's. This leaves this plane dead in the water of being a vulture picking off anything dumb enough not to flare. Given time, the hordes of F-14B's will release they just leave periodic flares on and never risk getting hit by IR missiles since they can hold OVER 600 FLARES. As much as I want this plane to be good and love Chinese jets, it is dead on arrival and no IR missile will fix it unless they seriously buff flare resistance.

The shrapnels in HE kind if ammo go in cone because of momentum for start. They need hit something hard for go spherical, like ground or 30mm of armor.

3:15 no the PL-12 is a ARH missile not SARH which atm would be alittle broken. (its a aim54 that will be able to hit things with at lot more consistency)
thats why it never came lol. Tho it will come very soon as it did carry it.
For balance the PL-12 will probably be added next patch so it would be a little op if it got it before the other aircraft received their aim 120's
is it just me or did they move the Kurnass 2000 down to 11.3, removed its Aim7s and gave it Python 3s?
They definitely did, I noticed it in the dev server a couple weeks ago
they did, the kurnass 2k never carried sparrows in real life as it was relegated to ground attack role since it came into service at the time of the F15 and 16 but did get pythons

The PL-8 was made from the Python 3 but the Python 3 has a top speed of Mach 4 and the PL-8 is Mach 3.5 and both have a 20km range
so the only difference is python 3 is a bit faster
they are the same missile

Cover JAS37 or whatever the new Viggen is called, please? I just hope it gets radar missiles and more missiles than 2 that AJ37 gets to fight missile buses like Phantoms and all 4 or 5 American premiums with enough flares and missiles combined to destroy small nation's entire air arsenal.
with guns, the AJS37 carries 2 Aim9J and 2 Aim9L. no radar missiles. Basically AJ37 with good missiles and better engine

While pythons with HMD is absoloutley amazing, I still find myself drawn to the B variant just for the aspides and how fast it is for its BR, being .7 lower

@@perennialE tested it out and felt like pl8 just don’t have the same range as the python honestly. Really it’s 40g but what’s the matter it’s still extremely flare hungry doesn’t make a huge difference where as 9ls are literally ignoring flares on rear

I'm sorry but you are objectively wrong. The best IR missile is hands down the R27T, followed by the R24T, only then does the python 3 come into contention. 40g pull doesn't make any difference from 20g pull, if you can't fire from stealth, and the R27/24T with IRST are king, when it comes to stealth launching on enemies, from 5-7km away.
bruh 40g is a massive upgrade to 20g, a 20g missile can simply be dodged by turning a 30/40g you have to roll etc

@@perennialE You still cant really do much more than bomb some bases which in my friend group apparently no one likes since its not thrilling. But hey, I put bombs on my mig 29 so I will just do it.
Issue is that my radar missiles(I only got them on mig 21 bis sau), no matter which one have no chance of killing anything and I would be glad if you could do a tutorial on how to use those since i dont get how.
Honestly top tier is so tedious since you die from everywhere without even seeing what killed you. And these damm pilots always get knocked out aswell since apparently turning is bad.

@@gaijinatemyhusky4384 the PL8 was copied from the Python 3 and the Python has high speed actually Pythin 3 mach 4 and the PL8 is Mach 3.5 thats real life sorry I havent checked it out in the game yet.
