- Our 750cc cross kart project has a top speed of over 80 miles an hour, so today we're fabricating and installing custom front brakes to make stopping safer. Locking up the rear brakes at 60+ mph was SCARY. Thankfully, with these custom fabricated front brakes, this custom baja buggy build will stop faster and more safely.

If they go n the right direction with the exhaust this thing is going to e very torquey.. If they do a 180 degree header it will make crazy torque and sound like a indy car.

This has been one of my favorite projects that they have done.
It's nice to have been able to watch you grow your skillset from tinkering to full on fabrication and machining.
You NEED to turn that helicopter basket into a Bonneville Salt Flat kart! That would be epic.

@@mikepelz7004 That's what I saw when they said "kart frame" and showed the basket. It reminded me of a documentary where it showed the belly tank racers and how the frames are built. If they do it (fingers crossed) I hope they take it to the flats. wtallant1 made a comment on a 1985 Honda V30 Magna engine he has that got me thinking. If geared right and with the right aerodynamics this would be the fastest kart yet.

Now all u need is sheet metal to cover the exposed frame for aerodynamics etc. Can't wait to see it painted

Trust me, we've talked about all of that at length. AWD is probably ruled out, but I neither confirm nor deny turbos or efi.

Trail70 looks mint, i used to have one along with a Suzuki RV125
Nice. The bike looks good now, but whoever painted it skipped some kind of important step in the process- they either didn't scuff it wel enough, didn't use self etch primer, or something because the paint flakes off if you breathe on it wrong :(

I have the perfect power plant for the Stokes Basket build. How about a 1985 Honda V30 Magna? 500cc rated at 62HP. Water cooled v4.
Or maybe a later vfr engine for fuel injection

For the basket cart- electric motor and custom aero fiberglass body! Completely different from your norm!
I dig it, but electric motors and batteries are expensive compared to gas. Maybe dual engines or a 2 stroke?
The editing keeps on getting so much better. This one was a pleasure to watch. Also make that basket like a old 60s enduro 2 stroke kart.

tip if wanted... dont use sticky rim weights... use truck balance beads..
id use about half ounce of beads per tyre that size... just break one bead and pour beads inside the tyre and pump back up ( tubeless only obviously lol ) and they roll around self balancing the tyre! ive used and fitted them in multiple different size wheels being a tyre fitter and they work well! good job on the kart too!! its looking and sounding awesome!! i do wonder if its getting enough air through just them 2 carbs tho?? keep uo the uploads and great builds! is good to watch 👍

Why you limit the wheel size to 8 inches is beyond me.. You kept the smallest size tires on a kart with huge suspension travel and no tread on the tires.. Crazy
That's what I keep thinking. I wanna see it with some 23 or 25" atv tires.
We want overall low center of gravity so we can sling it around and not flip it (within reason). We have our eye on some 19" tall tires with aggressive tread to upgrade from these 16"s

That trail 70 looks slick guys.
bacon sounds good. with front wheel weights on inside that is a lip for a IAW wheel wieght i know its a hammer on weight but it is coated and if carefully applied will work bettor for your setup. since you have more clearance on that inside lip. also bringing the weight closer to outer edge of rim will help your balance.

Just putting this out there, since the helicopter body basket is used for saving people maybe add a few "tool boxes" in case a go kart has an accident you can use the basket mobile to save it haha just an idea for a future build, this way you can still have all the fun of a go kart but all the tools needed to fix in feild ya know
