If they go n the right direction with the exhaust this thing is going to e very torquey.. If they do a 180 degree header it will make crazy torque and sound like a indy car.
It would look awesome in Stainless or in Titanioum going up 2 on ech side up the side of the engine and backinto one in the middle of the engine out the center rear as one big tip over the top of engine
@@mikepelz7004 That's what I saw when they said "kart frame" and showed the basket. It reminded me of a documentary where it showed the belly tank racers and how the frames are built. So happy to see the channel growing. Used to watch you guys with 100views! I've learned a lot just watching you guys have fun with different projects. I appreciate all your hard work, it's so inspirational for an inexperienced guy like myself.
I don’t own a go kart nor ever plan on owning one. I watch the channel cause you 2 are awesome. Love seeing you guys tear up some grass with your creations. Keep it up boys. Good job.

really happy to see you guys do front brakes on this. you guys are slowly addressing all of the safety concerns! we just dont want to see anyone get hurt or worse! keep up the good work.
Nice. The bike looks good now, but whoever painted it skipped some kind of important step in the process- they either didn't scuff it wel enough, didn't use self etch primer, or something because the paint flakes off if you breathe on it wrong :(
tip if wanted... dont use sticky rim weights... use truck balance beads.. id use about half ounce of beads per tyre that size... just break one bead and pour beads inside the tyre and pump back up ( tubeless only obviously lol ) and they roll around self balancing the tyre! ive used and fitted them in multiple different size wheels being a tyre fitter and they work well! good job on the kart too!! its looking and sounding awesome!! i do wonder if its getting enough air through just them 2 carbs tho?? keep uo the uploads and great builds! is good to watch 👍
2:58 LMAO! nothing wrong with a ton of pre cut tape strips 4:15 John, i love your sense of humor. I got it! I stopped worrying about you guys a long time ago... What up Payton! You can just see the torque this beast has on the take off's! What a monster! It's getting there fellas!
Awesome build guys, love watching y´all work on this beast. Maybe you can get some old mini cooper wheels, they might just do the trick.... Build on!!!
bacon sounds good. with front wheel weights on inside that is a lip for a IAW wheel wieght i know its a hammer on weight but it is coated and if carefully applied will work bettor for your setup. since you have more clearance on that inside lip. also bringing the weight closer to outer edge of rim will help your balance.
check with Go Power Sports, but I think that the nuts on the dual rods on the master cylinder acts as a proportioning valve. You should be able to adjust the front/rear brake bias that way.
just got to 13:00.... if the back locks up before the front doesn't that increase your chances of oversteer when braking and spinning when coming to a hard stop? Like, you'll have less traction when locked up than when under full brake power without locking.
@@derschwarzgeist it's generally understood in racing that understeer is a safer failure mode than oversteer. Understeer just results in you ending up missing the turn, and is super easy to recover from; oversteer on the other hand is basically unrecoverable and usually means you spin out, which means you impact whatever you're going to hit at the wrong orientation. Head-on is kinda the safest way to hit things in most vehicles.
For the shifter, make a rectangle with the same size slit as the tubing of the shifter. Like a runner for the bar. Slide it over and weld something to hold it. Have it further down like half way. It would make the shift more secure and reliable until you get paddles.
The more I watch this build the more I'm loving it!! Favourite so far!! This thing is a weapon!! Sounds Wonderful through headphones.. wish I was over there to hear this thing in person!!! Keep it up guys... you absolutely rock!!! Big cheers from Sydney Australia!
I have a old rear engine snapper lawn mower that I want to make faster I dont think pulley swapping would work because the pulley coming straight off the crank shaft spins the drive disc any ideas on what I can do
I always come up with questions. so the brakes slow down and stop the wheels but what happens to the motor? It is still trying hard to spin fast. do the brakes fight the spinning engine? would that not be bad for the engine to fight the spin? seems that to suppress the spin while it is fighting you to keep spinning would be bad.
Just some pipe insulation cable tied above your knees and besides your arms and thats bruising not breaking sorted. Because in motorsport you prepare for when things go wrong, not if they go wrong. Nice job on those front brakes. On the drag strip the DuKarti will have the legs of the cross kart, but on a track the X'Kart will out preform the DuKarti. Less tire slip, better breaking meaning a higher average speed... SMOG PUMP SUPERCHARGER!!!! just an idea...
Great episode guys, I have been subscribed since the $50 go kart build. Glad to see your getting bigger and doing more builds. I think you should bring more people into the episodes and do races, just like the old days with Taylor or Tobias, it would make the videos more interesting
Already have a name suggestion for the rescue basket cart, Because the shape instantly reminded me of it: That's the Casket Cart! And it would fit great if Ike could get the hearse running again! ;)

Just putting this out there, since the helicopter body basket is used for saving people maybe add a few "tool boxes" in case a go kart has an accident you can use the basket mobile to save it haha just an idea for a future build, this way you can still have all the fun of a go kart but all the tools needed to fix in feild ya know
@carsandcameras you guys should make a separate e brake for the back so you can stand on the front ones and do an awesome burnout and sweet drifts with the back
Very good, now I can finally try to get front brakes on my stinger buggy. Nothing like fishtailing at high speed from rear brakes only. I checked out the kit from Go power sports. it looks like you used a different rotor than the kit. Can you tell me the brand and dimensions? Also what is the inside diameter of you front wheel?. Clearance has been my biggest nightmare and I never thought of welding the rotor to the spindle....thanks so much for a solution!
I was hoping you would install front brakes on this kart and I am glad this episode you did install front brakes on it. The last thing I want to see are larger wheels and tires but that is something I want to see because I am not a fan of the small wheels and tires. I would flip if you put Miata sized wheels and tires on the kart.
