I'm the dude on the cover and at 10:07 in. I read the comments and it's not the "overhead" a lot of us "younger" dealers think about. It's always been about the relationships (for me at least) built along with paying it forward and momentum. The Philly show is always fantastic and guys like Ryan/CC2 make the experience great. I will also say this: if I didn't have any past transactions with Ryan, I would have most likely said no. If I didn't sell a card all weekend, I'd still be good from all of the buying and trading we do/did.
@@cardcollector2always great seeing you and catching up, Ryan. Even if we never do a transaction, great to see you here in our neck of the woods. Merry Christmas to you and your loved ones also! See you soon for sure and thanks again for everything!
He knows exactly what he’s talking about but he always shows the vendors respect and there’s the fact he knows the vendors has to make money because every vendor starts negative because they have to pay for a spot at the convention. Love the vid and I had my first card show this Sunday
Yup. And it goes along way for me that he is passionate about the hobby. Not just trying to squeeze dimes. Nothing wrong at all with working towards deals but he does it the right way.
Great content as always Ryan! Just got back into the hobby and been loving every minute of it. Thanks for everything you do for the community. Wishing you nothing but continued success and looking forward to meeting you one day!
Not as big of a $$$ grab as I'm used to you doing, but assume you have kids & others so need a wide varieties of cards/values. Thanks for sharing! 🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈🏈 Take Care/Stay Safe ✌
Do you think you get good deals because you are well known, the camera is on and the seller wants to get a good rep on YT? I say that b/c I have tried to negotiate even 5% down and most sellers don't like give any room for discounts.
I think buying in bulk does well so does paying cash. If you watch some of our old videos, we’ve used different strategies over the years like getting $1 box cards worked in to showcas deals at nothing, etc. things like that before we had a following. But i definitely know that we definitely do deals with some folks because of our following. Some people want to be featured and tagged, some just know we buy big deals and want to cash out. Every case is different!
@@cardcollector2 I hear you. It might be a combination and probably the experience you all have to work deals out. Thanks for taking the time to give an extensive response.
