I don't have a problem with Roth, seems like a good dude - but man it must be exhausting seeing the same faces at the same tables with the same showcases every card show - I feel like the same 4-5 dudes just record themselves buying and selling to each other and act like they're making big moves...I enjoyed his videos early on, unfortunately the content is getting stale, but that's the majority of the hobby - too much of the same floating around out there
So because Baker Mayfield led his team to a win tonight his prices are gonna go up? That’s legit your logic for holding a card and waiting for a good performance. Buyers are beyond stupid and content creators don’t help those looking for advice getting into the hobby. Word to the wise, don’t listen to those that have titles stating, “spending challenge of 10k plus” It’s legit a hobby and only a few people get lucky making big bucks from getting a lucky pull from a box or having a card in their collection that has become desirable. Most of these dudes are no different than politicians

It all is becoming pretty fake! Most of these content creators don't even know much about sports at all! They just know the big names and the latest hype. Especially Card Taxi that kid is the biggest tool in the hobby. Where's your F1 hype now?

For values of cards with no comps. U have to think about it dude is injury prone, how much flare he has, how much hype, and pizazz. Like shai is amazing, but he’s so good cause he’s defensively great. Most importantly, can they make playoffs. And look at defensive players, they always get hurt for trying to hard. Like kawhi for an example. Ur better off buying idiots that play no defense but can score, cause that’s all that shows up in box score
I buy proven champs that played amazing in they're sport. Modern players with out cred is hard to spend top dollar on. Curry type players come up every 10 yrs or so. So you bought his rookie auto, but out of 5 players his value pop the rest you be lucky to break even or take a lost. Trying to understand the market that the young collectors hype of some players really boggles the mind for crazy value.
