I've been listening to this song for many years, and it sounds better every time i listen to it. I have the Lp Record. Certainly one my best favourites.
I agree. These new guys dont shave, drill big ole holes in their ears and wear earrings like a girl and have holes in their britches. Beats all Ive ever seen.
Not only do I agree with you 100%, but I'll go further to say that THIS version is in my top 5 of all-time Buck Owens' recordings. I also like Sing A Happy Song!
This song is definitely better than the original version that Buck released in 1965. The original was slow compared to the shuffle sound of the newer version.
Buck was amazing, he had the guts to see a sad situation for what it is, and somehow make a great song out of it!

Thank you for sharing this great song...I LOVE that Don Rich fiddle!
Don Rich was a big, big part of the Buck Owens sound.
A bigger part of Buck's sound than a lot of people realized. But Buck knew and it threw him for a loop.
Thank your nice friend love song the best one like them

Come on Tbirdtim..you know this Buck Owen Album is your favorite...it "rocks".....wish they would release it on CD someday!
Thanks Buck, BUT Marsha Thornton gave this song LIFE !!! That velvet voiced lady should have amazed the world with her rendition of this tune.
it sucks when somebody has you like that.
It hurts a lot.
Jerry on pedal steel, Don on guitar and fiddle and Jim Shaw on keyboards.
Jim West actually, Ralph Mooney played steel on this album, I think. I know that it's him on Ain't It Amazing, Gracie.

I have a Buck Owens knife..like my measurements it also fits in the palm of your hand. That's why I'm "the ideal" patient at the gynecologist.
Jerry Brightman on Steel.
