Imagine the reaction of the audience if someone got a dramatic finish in a big tournament like evo! Would be the hypes thing ever!
It would be neat and actually somewhat likely unlike the Dragon Balls, but people would look away or ignore it even if they are more awesome than Fatalities.
The match is already won and winners already leave their seats the second they think they won rather than when the Super/Ultra animation is over.
It can't be helped since anything after the win is a taunt, maybe a buffered Legendary Taunt or just an unnecessary movie.

Well at least Goku says "You FOOL!!!!" in DB Legends, event though the game's text said "You moron" in the Frieza story event. It has nothing to do with Goku's Dramatic Finish, but just wanna bring it up to you.
Seeing Yamcha finally get his revenge on Nappa after all these years really makes me wish Toriyama would do more with him, Tien, and the other ZFighters. Like seriously, most of the cast from OG Dragon Ball has been turned into a joke and have such little power that they've become irrelevent. Why not give them their own character arcs where they learn to boost their power and obtain some special abilities that not even the Saiyans can pull off? Or even have King Kai teach them the Kaioken instead of JUST Goku? There's so much wasted potential there that it drives me nuts thinking about it.
SuperBoxBeam Here's a scenario for you. What if Bulma had her "full potential" brought out by Guru? I mean she was there on Namek and all. Would she have become a fighter? Would she have become more of a mega-brain than before?

BJGvideos It would've been awesome to see Bulma turn from the typical defenseless girl, into a capable fighter with special powers of her own. Or, if they went with giving her unmatched intelligence, she most likely would've found a way to beat Frieza long before Goku arrived. (But if that happened, Goku probably wouldn't have turned Super Saiyan until the Android Saga or something.) Those are both really good ideas though.
BJGvideos I would rather have Bulma be "Iron Man" - esque fighter coz she already has the brains and money. And if the tech in db universe can make two teens exponentially stronger than Namek Arc Freeza..... it could surely work wonders with lil bit of plot armour..... :)

Gavin Campbell i desperately want a JoJo game of this caliber. The PS3 game is flawed as hell but goddamn do it love the attention to detail and mountains of Easter eggs. I didn't like Eyes Of Heaven and was really disappointed they went 3D Arena instead of 2D. Do they think that style sells more or does it appeal more? It's one of the reasons i don't replay the Storm games as much

But in EOH... OMG the level of detail and commitment to the manga is amazing! The dual heat attacks are superb (Dio Brando with DIO being my fav) and the gameplay is great because every character plays exactly how they fight in the manga. If Arc System did do a jojo game they would have a lot to live up to!
lolMARKO it's so weird, i think the visuals for me was a huge step down in EoH because (for me) there was too much stuff going on with the screen to the point i wasn't sure what was going on. I don't know, for me the first one on PS3 had better focus then again im NOT a fan of 3D arena fighters so needless to say i wasn't exited when playing EoH, i don't even remember if there is multiplayer or co-op?

God, I love Trunks. The dude's a badass, and I don't get why so many people call him trash. He's got a dramatic and emotional backstory, he introduces the idea that Goku isn't the only big fish in the pond by going Super Saiyan, he's always fended for himself. Sure, he causes a lot of problems, but what's a good show without conflict? And goddamn does Trunks bring in some good conflict. I love the dude and everything he's done for Dragon Ball.
Its cause he represented a massive shift in tone. As well as just showing up, eliminating a Major enemy threat and saying. "By the way even stronger things are on the way that killed you in the past."
That and part of his design being closer to Dragon Quest than DBZ I think.

It may be made by Netherrealms but Injustice is supposed to appeal to a younger audience than MK. For them to start killing off heroes in front of kids, someone would get sued for emotional damages. I like the idea but Injustice is rated T for a reason

Nah, I think it's still possible. There are some brutal deaths in Injustice (or ot least the one I remember from Injustice 1), so it's not really aimed at kids like you said. Recreating those comic book moments would be really cool.

Bardock raising his bandana into the air after beating Frieza only hits harder when you realize that the bandana is actually a bandage with the blood of his comrades on it. When he raises it into the air, he’s essentially being like “look guys, I finally did it.” It’s poetic as hell, especially by Dragon Ball standards.

I'm still disappointed they didn't give Vegeta Blue + Trunks a dramatic finish against Merged Zamasu. We have both Father Son Kamehamehas, why not give us Father Son Galick Gun?
Another cool one would've been Zamasu winning against Vegito. The fusion runs out and Zamasu kicks the ass out of Vegeta and Goku, just like it happened in the show.
Because the Father Son Galick is a weak copy. Goku's single kamehameha did more work which made what Vegeta and Trunks unsatisfying and pointless.

You know there's an actual manga where Bardock goes back in time right before he dies and he becomes the first super saiyan. Thats why Frieza is afraid of what the Saiyans can do and blows up the planet. You guys should give it a read.

Neko Majin History Of Trunks isn't canon either, in the manga Trunks already knew how to turn Super Saiyan and Future Gohan died off-screen, Trunks just found his body and got angry about it (With no Super Saiyan transformation).
And that Episode Of Bardock OVA was made as a promotion for Dragon Ball Heroes, which is super NOT CANON.

They were really sleeping on my man Bardock. I still think he's one of the coolest characters. Even seen as a low-class warrior he still pushed himself and fought like a badass. I think him ascending to a Super Saiyan at some point against Frieza woulda been awesome.
Even if he went super sayian against frieza his power level would be lower than frieza in base form, so it wouldn't have made a difference and would be kinda out of place

I just wish the dramatic finish from Vegito against Zamasu was a dramatic intro instead, especially since Zamasu was unaffected by the final kamehameha in the anime.
(And because the villain characters already have tons of finishers against them but very few finishers of their own. And there aren't many dramatic intros)

I really hate Yamcha's DF. It's the pinnacle of "this why we can't have nice things". YOU guys did this. In Dragon Ball, Yamcha was actually really cool, he had some running gags and stuff but he had a lot of cool shit. But you die in a funny pose once, and now every time someone thinks of you it's to be reminded of your failures. He lost all the character developmente he had from Dragon Ball, was reduced to a jobber, and then turned into a literal gag character, who does nothing of his life except being laughed at to entertain the masses. This is why we can't have nice things.
Jetstream Matt As someone who has watched none of Dragon Ball, would you mind explaining what made him great back then?
It was mostly his character development. He started out as a 16 year old bandit trying to rob starving people in the desert, but by the end of it. He was a great martial artist studying over Master Roshi, he overcame his fear of girls, had a girlfriend, and successfully integrated himself into society, with a successful baseball career, and Bulma as a girlfriend. Only for him to die in a accidentally funny way, and now every single aspect of his life has been torn apart. Now even the ones responsible for Dragon Ball are actively making fun of him, and instead of praising him for how good of a character he was, they like him ironically

in movie lore, bardock doesnt die from the explosion, he gets sent through time and goes super saiyan fighting one of frieza's relatives

Yamcha getting his w against nappa was a 10 out of 10 especially when i saw nappa in yamchas pose lol.
For Bardock, the last bit where he holds up the bandana makes the dramatic finish for me.
