  • Cleaning up some brush and dead trees with the Takeuchi TB260 and the International 4900 dump truck. This is a site I put a swale around the back of the house last summer. She now wants the woods she owns to be cleaned up, there is a lot of dead trees and limbs that have fallen and piled up over the years. She wants to keep as many standing trees as possible and just clean up the under brush, she would like it to go back to nature. It seemed easier to me to use the International so I could load in the woods since the access is limited and not make a million trips back and forth in her yard. So far it's working out well and the Werk Brau is making quick work of things. Thanks for watching! #EliteEarthworks #Takeuchi #brushcleanup

Brandon... you’re driving into my wheelhouse now! My timber used to look just like that.
All that I had was a chainsaw, tractor, bucket loader and box of matches. It took 10 years to get it cleaned up the first time... then, I decided to let half go back to brush. Then, I got lazy on the half I was supposed to be keeping up with.... long story short...
I bought a grapple, retired and started the battle all over again... wouldn’t trade my new fight for all the paying jobs in the world!
You might tell the customer to seed it back in orchard grass. It only needs one mowing a year in late summer, after it goes to seed. Do that and they can control the brush and have green grass cover.
Did you find any copperheads? They like to burrow under those big old rotten logs. This time of year they are lethargic and won’t strike... but, my guess is that they are there!

Lol yeah that would be work by hand with a chainsaw. I would agree your retired approach is much better. That’s a good idea she wants it go back to nature but that would be better than this stuff grow back up. I didn’t any snakes but I’m sure they were there. Appreciate the comment

That would have been perfect for a Fecon. Rotten logs and small brush. Makes me wonder how the hell a guy with a Fecon could "take it all out" and is not capable of mulching between trees. Customer wants X, you give them X. Oh well, their loss and your gain. Have fun. :)

Have you thought of leaving the tailgate on and pulling the top pins?
Lot of truckers flip them down with chains like a pickup tailgate.
    Helps support the longer pieces.
I guess it depends on if the bottom pivot allows the gate to swing down in the locks.

Love your channel and I'm glad you got the job. But it looks like John from Upstate Brush Control could have had those old trees knocked out buy noon with his team limbing up all those litter trees and the low hangers. A lot of work to haul all that off and no mulch bed left behind for group covering. I dont think Mrs. Home ownet knows what a Fecon can do. To your benefit. Still love both channels!

Do you ever have any problems or negative issues with the tint on your mini? I’m considering having mine tinted because there are many times when the AC just can’t keep up or the glare from the sun causes issues.
