@snake172 Yes I know a real surround sound set is better but if you don't have the space and don't want the mess of cables these are good. Better then the Bose compannion 5. Maybe the sub of the Logitech z5500 isn't as boomy as the one of the z2300 but as I already said. It's about quality. And yes the inclosers are acoustical optimized. Although wooden boxes are better. But the logitech z5500 satelite speakers have thin plastick boxes.
@AWarlordsView if you want to hook these up to multiple things at once i suggest getting a switch box although not sure were you can buy one anymore
