I just decided to Home school my 5 and 3 year old. Well, actually, to continue homeschooling my 5 and 3 year old! I live in Las Vegas and I’m overwhelmed (in a good way) by all the resources that are available to homeschooling families these days so it’s so nice when I can find someone to help me out!
we are at NJ...... we have been looking homeschooling since 2 years ago... (my son is in 3 grade) and always want to do it... but now, FINALLY, yesterday we drop the letter to the superintendent office's. thanks for all your support!
Hi! I homeschool from AZ. This is my 4th year with my 2 children. I LOVE your simple room and that you get rid of what you are not using because things do tend to pile up quickly, and baskets are a MUST!! Lot's of them! I appreciate you taking the time to share your Homeschool Room, love seeing how other Mom's are doing. Best wishes!
Hi Heather! I'm from Beijing. I have a 8 years old boy, and I started homeschooling from last summer. I really love watching your videos! They are so helpful and full of joy!
Great tour!! Im from the PNW, currently living in Guam, and this is our 2nd year homeschooling. I have a high school senior, 8th, 7th, and 5th graders now! I homeschooled my oldest for a couple years back in the day... lol. I sound old!
North Carolina. Have been homeschooling for the last quarter of this year. We are originally from OH and were attending a Classical school back home. Now in NC, we've decided to homeschool. We are excited about the new adventure but in need of a lot of advice. I have really enjoyed your videos compare to others I've been looking into. Thank you Heather!
Hi Heather! I have been homeschooling for 12 years. I have 7 children and love homeschooling! I love to be able to be the one to see the light bulb come on, when they realize how to read! I love playing with my little ones as well. My ages of children are 16, 14, 12, 9, 7, 4 and 2. 6 girls and 1 boy. My son is right in the middle. :-) Life is busy! I LOVE your school room! The lego area is amazing. I am going to do that here. Thank You! Have a blessed day! -sophie
Hi Heather, thank you for the great video! I'm planning on starting to homeschool my little one, but I'm afraid it will be very hard. Thanks for making it look easy!
San Antonio, TX here. I have a just turned 2 year old and a 7 month old. We’ve thought about homeschooling eventually for a while now and it keeps coming back to me. So I decided to start looking into now so that I’m not overwhelmed when my daughter is ready to start school! I also wanted to see if I could find tips on starting with little lessons now since she loves to learn soooo much!
I’m in Oklahoma and we did partial homeschool last year (2 days at home/3 at a charter school) last year. We are starting full time school at home now! Like, literally today.
We have our homeschool around the house as well. Sometimes we're in the office- it gets the most sun and that can be a good thing or a distraction. In the winter we are in the family room as we heat with our wood burning stove- and who wants to be cold? lol. And I LOVE using our library as well. We place things on hold depending on our bible, history, science studies.... it can be so wonderful. Our library also is a group of them, so if our particular library doesn't have a book, one of the ones it shares with just might! And I know it might not be as pretty as one of the cube storage things (I do want one when my son starts school as well soon as we only have one book shelf) but we use the cheap plastic drawer bins to hold paper- its the perfect size, all our special scissors, paints, beads, coloring books... etc. Cheap!
YES! I love cheap and easy. And of the library is such a blessing. I was surprised at how many moms didn't know you could place books on hold and avoid the scavenger hunt for books. BEST THING EVER! Thanks so much for watching. I hope this was an encouragement to you and thanks for commenting and sharing.
I love your homeschool room! I'm watching from Kentucky and this is our 7th full year of homeschooling, and for the first time ever there is hope for us to have a dedicated homeschool/craft room in our near future, yay!
Awesome! I was actually against having a dedicated room when I first started because I wanted school to happen anywhere but I've found that the benefit of having a room is really a place to HOUSE all the stuff!! haha.
Just officially started with my 3 1/2 and got some good ideas for organizing. I feel a little overwhelmed sometimes but I think I'm getting better! Thank you for the video!
Love your homeschool room! I really like all of the baskets and that concept. We just recently moved to Washington from Arizona and have started homeschooling this year. We are loving it so far!!
But you still have to have an extra room. I always wanted one, even thought I NEEDED one, but seeing that even those who have them learn all over (and outside of!) the house eased my mind a bit. It sure would be nice to have one though. We have a little storage room where I house all of our homeschool stuff. This is also where we keep the vacuum cleaner, my husband's tools and our bottled water. I take out what we need every morning and put it back when school is done. It works, but a room would be nicer. Still, what matters the most is knowing that not having a designated room won't keep my children from learning. If we ever get a house with a dining room, we'll make that a homeschool room because we are so used to eating in the kitchen anyway.
What a lovely homeschool space, Heather! Like you, I'm a basket girl. And YES clipboards are a MUST! It was a treat to get a peek at your homeschool room. Thanks so much for sharing!!! -Candice Crazytown, USA 3rd year homeschooling
Love ya Candice! :) Thanks for your kind words. I love watching your videos and seeing how you homeschool your older one. I know I'll be there one day it's refreshing to see a mom a few years ahead giving such wonderful advice.
Hi Heather! This is my first "official" homeschool year. I have a kindergartener and a preschooler. We are in the DC area, which is awesome for homeschoolers! I don't make youtube videos, but love watching them! Thanks for sharing your homeschool room, it looks great!
Thanks for watching Tathi! ;) I love connecting with other homeschoolers around the world. So encouraging. Happy homeschooling! I would LOVE to homeschool in DC. So much to do and see. You could literally spend an entire year just studying each museum and monument. LOVE IT!!!!
Great room and great ideas. Homeschooling in KS, first year with our second grader (also have a 4th grader in PS and 4yo in PT preschool). We don't have a HS room, but have adapted our dining room to fit our needs. We use a lot of the same curriculum, in fact, we are starting this week with the nature study curriculum that you shared in a previous video! Thanks for sharing, that is how we all learn!
Welcome! Oh, I LOVE the nature study we are using this year. It saves me soooooo much trying to piece together things like I did last year. Welcome to homeschooling :) What was your greatest fear going into this journey?
Thank you! My biggest fear is having the time to meet our daughter's needs. She has epilepsy and struggles with attention, memory and anxiety. I work FT from home, which is flexible to a certain extent but with set hours (video conferences, etc.). I have reworked our routine several times over already and think we may have landed on a winner (for now :) How about you??
Hi Krystle! Welcome to this homeschool community! :) So happy to have you! Let me know if there are any questions you have or videos you'd like me to create. I'm always open to suggestions.
Great space and beautifully organized. Library is also most used and best resource. I have been homeschooling for 3 years and from Florida. Thanks for sharing.
Its been going well with its ups and downs :).But this year I am more relaxed and enjoying the process and do not worry a lot about getting everything checked off. We do a homeschool recap every week so far, you are more than welcome to watch it.
We have a school room. I have homeschooled my son for 3 years. He recently tried public school from January to this month. We went back to homeschooling due to him struggling so much. I am currently in El Paso, TX. From TN. Moving to Georgia in about a month. Thanks for sharing your homeschooling tips! p.s. I have a daughter in public school. she is doing fantastic. So I am one of those parents having to do both :)
Hi Lydia! Welcome! :) I love that you decided to try it out. We are actually deciding if we are going to send out daughter to school next year because she keeps asking about it.
hi im ashley from san antonio texas i love watching your videos very inspiring and encouraging i will start homeschooling this week for the first time to my kindergartener and first grader
My husband and I are seriously considering homeschool for 4th grade and I been doing some research here to understand what I am going to need to get started. We have not been quite happy with the way public school been going the last 2 years and hoping the transition to homeschool will be a good one. My daughter is looking forward to it and personally I am too. Before I got married and had a family I was going to college to be a teacher and I only had the opportunity to get a few children education classes under my belt. I have watched several of your videos and bounced your ideas off my daughter and she is very much liking these ideas. Thank you for posting such inviting and informational videos on your channel. Rebecca from TX
Welcome Rebecca! Thanks for watching. It really isn't much to get started! Here are my book choices you should read through on how to not get overwhelmed. ua-cam.com/video/sSzmhfGPFwg/v-deo.html
have been wanting to homeschool, been doing a lot of research and just found your channel. I have 2 girls (4yrs, 9yrs) planning to homeschool next year for grade 1, and grade 5 in Canada. pretty intimidated to be honest but my eldest is very behind she doesn't seem to learn the "standard teaching method" way. and my youngest is advanced and gets bored. your channel is very encouraging as I want to teach them for their own strengths and weaknesses and how a mother know how to handle their kids personalities. thanks :)
Oh Lindsay, I hear ya girl! It can be really scary taking your kiddos education into your hands. It was scary and overwhelming to think about until I took the plunge. The best part is exactly what you said. You can really customize the education to the child and give them the best opportunity to grow in their strengths. I'm here if you have any questions. :)
I got some great ideas from this video! I love the Lego organization drawers and shelves for displaying! I’ve been trying to figure out how to organize my boys insane Lego creation collection. I start homeschooling for the first time next week!
I'm starting with my 5 year old officially next year (January is the start of the school year here), I'm in Australia. I also have a 3 yr old and an 18 month old. Your videos are great I love the day in the life and just seeing how your schedule is and how you fit everything in.
Thanks for watching! Oh I would LOVE to visit Australia one day with the kiddos. :) We have several friends that school on the calendar year. I love that idea. We went from public school to homeschool so we ended up just keeping on the same grade shift even though we school year round. What curriculum have you chosen for your kinder?
+Heather Torres Homeschool is still very much a 'strange' thing to do here, not as common as in the states. I will be using a curriculum developed by a distance education school here in my state. They provide everything and also have teachers at the school the kids can FaceTime etc with so there is tons of support. Love watching your videos though as I said it's not common here so I feel like I'm finding my way on my own!
Welcome to homeschooling! It can be scary stepping out into this world but oh is it rewarding. What was your biggest fear when taking this leap into HS?
this is great thank you. I live in Scotland and I am not officially homeschooling as my kid is just coming up for 3 but I am planning and getting ideas all the time lol I am so excited to start this journey. I will set up an area in our hallway for it as we don't have a spare room x
Welcome and thank you for watching. I love connecting with homeschoolers all around the world! What's great about homeschooling is you can make it as big or as little as you want to with the supplies and organization. I always lean towards simple and small.
Hi, Heather, really like that school room. I am a homeschool mom of 3, for a year now and we live here in Dubai, UAE (we are Filipinos). We do live in a small place, so for us, it's technically a bedroom in the evening and a school room in the morning. :) But this is what I really like about homeschooling, the learning is actually anywhere in the house and outside the house. My children, by the way, are all grown ups now, my eldest son is an incoming 12th grade, then my second son is currently in the 8th grade and my youngest daughter is in the 6th grade. Looking forward to watching more of your videos and thanks for inspiring moms like me all the way here in Dubai :)
Heather Torres expert! Thanks for the quick response. I love the dice idea and picture holders. What is the best source to find free supplies or inexpensive items, such as curriculum or printables? Will use the library as well. Thanks for your help!
I have a video coming out with the three websites that really helped me. Depending on the style of homeschool you are going to do will depend on the curriculum. Best option, type into pinterest (free) whenever you are searching for something. I found that Charlotte Mason and Classical styles seem to be the most inexpensive. The three websites that helped me: 1+1+1=1 , Confessions of a Homeschooler, Ambleside Online.
I'm Ashley in Texas going into my 4th year homeschooling 2 boys current ages 6 and 7 3/4. I can see we use a lot of the same curriculum! it's funny to me that in the homeschool community I live doesn't use anything I use, but most of the youtuber I follow use exactly what I'm using! Such a nice well organized space! Thanks for sharing!
WOW! Thank you for your kind words. I am the same way. I am part of several co ops with my kiddos and we are the only ones who are more classical/ CM style. Everyone here uses Sonlight and Abeka. I have nothing against either company, neither fit our family or our HS goals. :) I'm excited we connected here! Are you on IG too?
Thank you for you encouragement. Oh, there is so much I could learn from you! The wisdom you have from homeschooling a big family. :) What is the question you are asked the most when it comes to homeschooling?
Hey Heather! such a heartfelt video thanks for the tour! I am not a homeschool mom, but want to become a homeschool father. Im from and in the Netherlands, Amsterdam area. I have been homeschooling myself for 5 years now and worked some in physical education as a coach. want to Start homeschooling kids within 4 years
Saying hello from the beautiful island of Puerto Rico. Thanks for the video. I wish I had a homeschool room (I live in a very small house), but al least we get work done in the space we have.
Hi Heather! We're a San Diego (north county) family with four kids, and have been homeschooling for 9 years. Love your videos! You're doing a great job, with great content.
+Heather Torres We're starting our fifth week Monday. It's going well, but I'm always amazed how different each year is. This year we have an 8th grader, 6th grader, and a 1st grader with a two year old in the mix. I'm finding middle school is so different than elementary. It stretches me in a whole different direction. It's my 3rd time teaching 1st, so you'd think I'd have that down now... ha ha! Each kiddo is so entirely different! And our two year old, I'm positive, is God's way of teaching me patience (I'm a slow learner!). All that to say, the year is underway, and we are so blessed to be on this route together as a family. It is not easy by any stretch of the imagination, but it's good.
WOW! How encouraging to know that it's not just me. Just when I think I have this whole HS thing down my kids grow and change and bam, I'm right back at being a newbie! haha. Thank you for sharing. :)
Just found your channel recently. Thank you for sharing so much useful information. We are on our 2nd year of homeschooling, and I have a 3rd grader and a Kindergartener.
I'm going to start pre schooling my son at home this winter, and I'm really struggling with insecurity!! Its so nice to see such a simplistic format. A lot of homeschool videos are a little overwhelming. Could you do a planning video?
Hi! Welcome. :) Sure. What type of planning - how we structure our day or how I plan out what we are going to learn and why? I'm open to any suggestions that will help. Also, make sure to check out the books I recommended in my Homeschool Mom Books video. Those three books REALLY helped me know that I can do this and that it doesn't have to be really complicated at all. I highly recommend those when someone is just starting out.
Hi there! From CO! I'm a newbie to homeschooling 😊 I have a small space so I'm needing for organization and scheduling my kiddos curriculum. Loved your space thanks for sharing.
Hello! We are stationed in Wichita, KS and start homeschooling in 2 weeks! I've heard Kansas is very homeschool friendly, so that's exciting. My friends and family think I'm nuts, but this is something I want to do badly. I've dismissed the idea repeatedly, but I always come back to it. It's meant to be, and I am not going to reject it just because it's going against the 'norm.' Love your channel!!
Oh Dara - this sounds EXACTLY like me a few years ago. haha. If you would have seen Heather at 25 you would NEVER think I would be the homeschooling mom let alone making videos about it! haha. Girl I get you! ;) Let me know if you have any questions I can help you with along the way.
love how your room is set up! our playroom/homeschool rooms are very similar like where the window is!I wanted to set ours up like that but I didn't know if it would work, but now that I see yours I love it!great video btw!
Awesome! I had the table against the wall at first but I didn't like that the kids were staring at the wall while doing school. This makes it more open now when we are all in there.
Colorado! This is my first homeschool year. I have 3 kiddos , a one year old...10 year old that is homeschooled in 5th grade and a 5year old in public kindergarten
Heather Torres Im just starting out. Like this month and i work full time away from home grrrr. I have boys 9,8,8,6 any tips or insight is very needed/welcomed 😘.
Hello. I am planning to be a homeschool mom starting in August 2017. New subscriber!! :) We are from Puerto Rico. Thanks for sharing your homeschool room!!
Could you do an in depth video of choosing which books out of your curriculum that you need from the library ? How do you chose what types of books. I would def watch that video !
I live in east Tennessee, its the only place I ever want to be! This will be our second year of official homeschooling, but I feel like I have homeschooled since my oldest was born because reading and the love of learning has always been important in our home. I love your homeschool room and it gives me some good ideas for our new home we hope to close on Sept 23. We will be moving from a 16X80 trailer into a 2400 sq ft one level farmhouse with an extra room that I will dedicate to a school room. My daughter gets so easily distracted by her two ittle sisters that a school room will be a welcome change. My hubby has a crazy schedule too and is home lots of weekdays so it will be nice to shut the door and get some work done while he enjoys the babies. Thank you for sharing! I love your enthusiasm 😄
Hi, I know exactly what you mean about the husband's crazy schedule. Mine is a 12 hour swing shift worker. So we average about 8 to 10 really good school days a month when he's on days and about 4 to 6 ok school days when he goes on nights. I decided not to do school when he's off so we can just be a family together and if that means doing school on Saturday and Sunday while he is working then that's what we do. One of the others things I do is to stop caring if week had a whole school week without any day off in between. Ex: we started week 1, day 1 last Friday( dad on days), Saturday one had stayed the night at mimi's the night before no school, Sunday full on school day (dad day shift), Monday my birthday (dad's off) no school, Tuesday (dad's getting ready for night) possible light school day - no school, Wednesday (dad's on nights) as much school as possible, but I have to cook dinner a few hour earlier and we have gymnastics so it unusually end up being 1/2 - 3/4 of a school day, Thursday (dad's night shift) Eye dr appointment for everyone, as grocery shopping, no school, Friday(dad's coming off night) full school day one of the boys stayed the night with mimi, Saturday(dads off) no school cousins birthday party, our anniversaries. I just keep going through the days unit we finish week 1's work and continue the same process with every week in our school until we are done or its time to start a new school year. We don't take the whole summer off. This is what works for us, not for everyone I know, but I want to to know your not along. Happy Homeschooling!
Oh your new house sounds dreamy! We also have crazy work schedules (I work from home in digital marketing and digital product development and my husband works for UFC) We don't have a door on our school room but I DO shut us in my room or use our back patio with my oldest for her reading aloud and memory work. Finding a quiet space is important for concentration. Thanks for watching!!!
Hello and thanks for watching this video. 21 years! Oh the wisdom you must have. :) What's one thing you would tell a newbie homeschool mom to encourage her through the first few years?
I am actually about to get a video up answering your question. I had this question recently from others, and decided to do video response this week. Thanks Heather!
I am amazed at how clean and spotless the school room is! I am in our classroom now and it is a disaster! I have three boys (8,7 &4) and they are not fans of cleaning...at all.. How do you keep you room so tidy?
Hi! I'm in southwestern Arizona, this is my 7th year (yikes!!!) homeschooling, I have a girl 6th grade, a girl 4th grade, a boy 2nd grade and a 2 year old girlie who makes our days quite festive and exciting :)
Hi Tania! Welcome. A veteran homeschooler! I'll be sure to keep you at the top of my list when I have a question :) I'm still figuring this whole homeschool thing out. haha. Every year gets better but I know there are things I would love help with. :)
first year homeschooling my 2nd grader and we are updating one bedroom to a hs room. We are from NC. I used to teach public school for five years (1st grade) and I love homeschooling SO MUCH, and I'm super excited to have a homeschool room!
Oh I love AO. That is where we pull most of our liturature and free reading from. We loosely follow them and the website is a HUGE inspiration to me. Congrats on making the leap into homeschooling. What was your biggest fear when making the transition?
I'm a new home schooler. We start this Fall 2017-18. I'm homeschooling my 8th, 7th and kindergartener. I'm super excited, as they are too, but a bit nervous. I have a question, how do you choose your kids calendar/agenda books?? I'm starting to search for a teachers planner, and planners for each child, just not sure what kind to get. We are visual. We like to see a list and mark things off as we go. Thanks for sharing your videos with us. Your room is super organized and looks fun for the kids.
I love this! I homeschooled most of my life and it's so true... you homeschool all over the house. lol I am thinking of homeschooling my sons in the future so I'm excited I found your channel :)
HELLO MY NAME IS MARIA SADDLER , THAT IS MY SON IN THE PICTURE , IM FROM PROVIDENCE RHODE ISLAND ANS I BEEN HOMESCHOOLING FOR TWO YEARS NOW AND I LOVE IT . GOD BLESS YOU
I'm a homeschool mom from Arkansas! I have seven littles, but only one that has been homeschooled for three years and another coming into kinder this year! I have five under 3 yo! I'm constantly trying to figure out how to keep the little bitties out of the school stuff. In thirty seconds they can have every thing ripped off the shelves.. O.O
Oh wow! You have your hands full. We have a bunch of littles over and because of that we've redone our school room to move stuff off of there level. I'm shooting another video soon of our homeschool room.
7 year HS vet from Missouri, loving your videos rights now, kind of bingeing them actually! Question, what type of storage were those legos in and any idea where they came from? I need that in my life.
I have 4 kids, been homeschooling for 6yrs, & I'm not highly organized or motivated for the whole school year. My kids grades range from 5th-pre-k. How do you stay focused & on track towards the end of the school year?
Hi heather! I just would like to know whether your children follow your schedule or your plan that you make for them every day. As I know, some children or kids are not that disciplined by their mothers on learning something about school subjects... could you please make a video and tell us everyone how you discipline your children and lead or teach them how to follow your routine. And can you really do what you plan to do for every day:)? Give me some advices please! I Thank you very much! Best regards!
Iam watching from Jamaica, I have been homeschooling for about fourteen years, its hard here because most people think homeschooling is weird and not necessary.
Love the clipboard idea for school on the go! I have been HS for 2 years and have never thought of this! Thank you!

Thanks for watching and for your sweet comments! :)

Hi Heather! I'm from Beijing. I have a 8 years old boy, and I started homeschooling from last summer. I really love watching your videos! They are so helpful and full of joy!
WOW! Thank you Diana! :)
Great tour!! Im from the PNW, currently living in Guam, and this is our 2nd year homeschooling. I have a high school senior, 8th, 7th, and 5th graders now! I homeschooled my oldest for a couple years back in the day... lol. I sound old!
Thinking about homeschooling for next year! Just have to take the plunge!
Yep! And remember you can try it for a year and if you don't like it you can look at your options again! :) It's year by year. Not a lifetime.
Welcome! :) Thank you for the feedback. Let me know if you have any suggestions for videos you;d like to see.
I like your lego shelf and how your books and activities are accessible to the kids. Simple and easy! Thanks for sharing!
-sophie

HI and welcome. Thank you for commenting! Happy homeschooling!
Great tips! Thanks so much! I'm from Mississippi. First year homeschooling my 2nd grade son.
I will be a first time homeschooler!! Mom of two beautiful girls and we live in Massachusetts! God bless you!!
Hey! We are homeschooling from Ontario, Canada for about 5 years. Thanks for sharing your Homeschooling endeavors.
Hi! Thanks for watching and commenting.
Welcome! That is such a fun age. Just remember that it's all about having fun, being curious, and exploring when they are little.
Love your homeschool room! I really like all of the baskets and that concept. We just recently moved to Washington from Arizona and have started homeschooling this year. We are loving it so far!!
I love WA! We moved from Olympia over a year ago. I miss it so much ;)
But you still have to have an extra room.

3rd year homeschooling
Looking into homeschooling my 9 and 12 year old...the information you have provided has been a lifesaver because I did not know where to begin!
Hi Krystle! Welcome to this homeschool community! :) So happy to have you! Let me know if there are any questions you have or videos you'd like me to create. I'm always open to suggestions.
Great space and beautifully organized. Library is also most used and best resource. I have been homeschooling for 3 years and from Florida. Thanks for sharing.
hello hello! Thank you for watching. How has the start of year 3 been for you?
Hi! Welcome. Thanks for watching. :) How is homeschooling going so far? Anything I can help with?
Thanks for watching. I'm editing a new video right now on the updated school room.
Just starting homeschooling with my boy next month with preschool. Thank u so much for your videos!!
Welcome to homeschooling :) Thanks for watching!
I am home schooled and I definitely recommend it!
I'm planning on homeschooling my 17 month old when the time comes this video is was helpfull thankyou.
This is my first year! We are in CT! And we are loving it so far!
Welcome to homeschooling! It can be scary stepping out into this world but oh is it rewarding. What was your biggest fear when taking this leap into HS?
I was worried if I could do it. If I was enough.
this is great thank you.
Welcome! Thanks for watching :)
I am considering homeschooling my kinder and first grader. I have just started to review. You make it look so easy! Thanks for the videos.
WOW! Thanks Mandy! :) What questions can I help you with? I researched for about a year so I can save you some time. haha. :)
Great video. Love your simple approach and clutter free space. Homeschool Mom of 7. Oldest is in 6th grade.
Thank you for you encouragement. Oh, there is so much I could learn from you! The wisdom you have from homeschooling a big family. :) What is the question you are asked the most when it comes to homeschooling?
Thanks!! I think we can all learn from each other? I am asked often about how I school with so many littles and so many different ages.
Welcome Sabrina! ;) Oh it must be so warm there right now. So cold here in the desert!
i love this!! i'm only 15 but this video has me so excited for a future of family and homeschooling
Hi and welcome :)
Love your room and all the fun ideas!! Got to love the dollar store!!!
We started our 5th year of homeschooling this year and love it!!
Yes! Love the dollar store :) Thanks for watching.
In Minnesota! I am not homeschooling yet but I have a 6 month old I want to homeschool. My husband and I were both homeschooled.
WOW! That's amazing!
I'm in Clinton, Utah. I've been homeschooling for 1.5 years. I have two kiddos a 1st grader and a kindergartener.
Terral Shrewsbury hi! Thanks for watching! 😀
Hi Heather! We're a San Diego (north county) family with four kids, and have been homeschooling for 9 years. Love your videos! You're doing a great job, with great content.
WOW! Thank you for the encouraging words. How is year 9 starting out for you?
Crystal Sanchez welcome! Thanks for watching 😀
I love the video. I live in Maine and I just started HSing my 2nd grade daughter. I also have Pre-K and Preschool aged sons.
Hi! Welcome! :) Thanks for watching!
Hi there! From CO! I'm a newbie to homeschooling 😊 I have a small space so I'm needing for organization and scheduling my kiddos curriculum. Loved your space thanks for sharing.
Thanks for commenting! I have a new video coming soon bc we homeschool now from an even smaller space.
Thanks for sharing! Watching from South Dakota. We will start our first year of home school next fall! Getting excited!!
Hi and welcome to the homeschool journey.
Starting in august with my 3 year old!!
Awesome! :) Welcome to homeschooling!
This is so helpful. I can't wait to organise our homeschool space when we move back home. So excited!
Thank you for watching and commenting. :) I appreciate you!
Your school room looks great. Hope to see your scheduling vid soon.
Thanks for watching. Scheduling video is on its way. :)
I enjoyed seeing inside your school room!
Thanks for watching! :)
love how your room is set up! our playroom/homeschool rooms are very similar like where the window is!I wanted to set ours up like that but I didn't know if it would work, but now that I see yours I love it!great video btw!
Awesome! I had the table against the wall at first but I didn't like that the kids were staring at the wall while doing school. This makes it more open now when we are all in there.
Heather Torres lol im still looking for a table for our room!
Colorado! This is my first homeschool year. I have 3 kiddos , a one year old...10 year old that is homeschooled in 5th grade and a 5year old in public kindergarten

Hello. I am planning to be a homeschool mom starting in August 2017. New subscriber!! :) We are from Puerto Rico. Thanks for sharing your homeschool room!!
WOW! Congrats! How many kiddos are you homeschooling?
Could you do an in depth video of choosing which books out of your curriculum that you need from the library ? How do you chose what types of books. I would def watch that video !
sure - right now we go off of different book list. I use the book list from www.goodandbeautiful.com/ bc they have done a ton of research
From North Carolina and I’ve been homeschooling for 3 years.
Great room! Homeschooling in Tx. 21 yrs.
Hello Heather! I am a homeschool mom of one she is in 2nd grade and this is our second year homeschooling we are in NC (new subscriber)
Thanks for subscribing Kennedy! :) I love meeting new homeschooling moms from around the globe. How is year 2 going for you guys?
I was homeschooled from Maine... from preschool to fourth grade... then I went to public school
Awesome! We take it year by year :) Who knows what the future holds for us.
I am amazed at how clean and spotless the school room is! I am in our classroom now and it is a disaster! I have three boys (8,7 &4) and they are not fans of cleaning...at all.. How do you keep you room so tidy?
It was clean for JUST this video... haha... No but really we do a clean everyday when we finish school.
I used to teach public school for five years (1st grade) and I love homeschooling SO MUCH, and I'm super excited to have a homeschool room!

we put massive amounts of books on hold also. I always wonder what the librarians think of it. ha! great video!
haha. I know! They know me now and know what we are studying based on my weekly pickups. haha
We are first time homeschoolers - I have two boys, a 1st grader and 3 year old, and we are primarily following Ambleside Online. We are located in WV.
Oh I love AO. That is where we pull most of our liturature and free reading from. We loosely follow them and the website is a HUGE inspiration to me. Congrats on making the leap into homeschooling. What was your biggest fear when making the transition?
Starting with my 4 year old this year in MO.
Welcome! :) Thanks for watching!
Welcome! ;)

Thanks Juli for watching! :)
Heather Torres Aweome!! I subscribed so I won't miss it!!
Thank you for subscribing :) I appreciate you!
from Nevada and been homeschooling for a few months

7 year HS vet from Missouri, loving your videos rights now, kind of bingeing them actually! Question, what type of storage were those legos in and any idea where they came from? I need that in my life.
Hi! Welcome! :) Our lego storage is from Ikea. Then we painted the fronts we they could be organized by color :)
I am from Michigan. Mom of many..... I have been homeschooling for 4 years.
Hi Amber! Welcome! :) Thank you for watching and leaving a comment.
Live on the Arabian Peninsula. Thinking of homeschooling later...but for now my little one is mastering walking.
It's never too early to start thinking about it. :)
homeschool mom of 2 for 3 and a half years and from Missouri
Hi Krystal! Welcome. thank you for leaving a comment.
Sure! I was thinking about doing a discipline tips video ):)
I'm from Quebec, Canada. Mom of 3 boys and this year it's gonna be the homeschooling 9th Year in september 👍🏻🎉💖

Iam watching from Jamaica, I have been homeschooling for about fourteen years, its hard here because most people think homeschooling is weird and not necessary.
Welcome. :) Thanks for watching! How fun! Jamaica!
my first time homeschooling I am from FL
