Best demo of the Re.corder I've seen. I didn't know it had so many sensors! Lip touch, tilt, rotate AND breath--plus custom fingering! Nice! A may have to get one.
Yes, making this "Magic Wand" mode is super generous! Children with some disabilities will be very happy to use this instrument in this mode! The price is good! I would order it but we have sanctions.
I've got one which I purchased through the original Kickstarter, and I think the Re.Corder is brilliant. My only gripe is that they tend to produce far more spittle than conventional recorders (so a handy towel nearby is essential!) Buy one. The Re.Corder is fairly inexpensive, and it is a lot of fun! :D
This is truly soooooo amazing. I seriously hope this gets adopted in music education! My mind would’ve been utterly blown if I had been exposed to this at a young age, and even just getting kids thinking about the relationship between their physical movement and creating music is such an important neural pathway to form at a young age. But this thing is so cool, I’m still going to get one and use it for live shows!
That is very cool. Have an old EWI wind controller, but it really demands some breath power and care with fingering and I tend not to use it much because of that. I'd be totally interested in such a contemporary update on midi wind controllers. That price is amazingly attractive!
Especially with other contemporary wind controllers nearing $800, this is an absolutely cool development ti the scene. Hell I’d love to grab one of these and use it at live shows! Map a tasty pentatonic scale, do some Pitch bends and you’ll be absolutely cooking
This will change how kids look at and learn music. These guys are going to be that market's standard, and, rightly so! I wish I had one of these in school haha. Did you have one? It was fun learning but after awhile we lose interest simple because its not that interesting when you level up...but not now 😂 I'd love to hear a school band with nothing but these and a massive computers and sound systems, one in front and one in the rear of a parade. Welcome to the Future! I hope I'm around to see it 🤣
Very nice. The built in sounds seem pretty good. It will be interesting to see how MIDI is implemented when using as a controller, as that seems to be its strength.
My question would be if it can produce continuous/stepless pitch in "Magic Wand"- mode instead of fixed notes as shown in the demonstration. I think that would make it a great tool for ear training.
Wow! Amazing thing! Not into blowing so much. More into physical manipulation. Whoops! Now he's playing it like a keyboard. I love to see new musical instruments.
Bem interessante, muito expressivo! Ele explicando, algumas palavras parecem muito com o sotaque brasileiro, já pesquisei e o instrumento é italiano, pode ser por isto! Achei bem legal!
The last time I looked, the least expensive MIDI wind controller on the market was $799. If that hasn't changed, then $199 for this is pretty cheap. But what is the latency? Latency is important. If the latency is in the 2 ms range, I'm buying one.
I like how you asked so please allow me to try and explain too. It's a performance nuance being represented by spherical coordinates of motion offered within these 3 planes. X can be assigned to Pitch Bend. Y can be Modulation. Z can be Volume, etc, etc... You have 3 physical movements that are assignable and playable as a midi controller. It's kinda genius haha.
@@ifxman I understand what Z axis means... But none of us are able to map it to anything as we do not understand the Z axis movement. Can it be drawn on a paper or shown in video... Instrument reacts to rotation, and elevation, so I guess z axis would be moving it forwards and backward parallel to the horizontal plane... But nothing happens... No one in the community uses it and have disregarded as a bug.
The price is interesting. I would be curious about comparisons to the well-known manufacturers. Is it just for fun, or can this e-recorder do more? Does it actually only work with the software presented, or can it also be used to control really good plugins and apps?
This is such a cool instrument with so many possibilities for young and not so young, for beginners and those further along their musical journey. Well done team and maybe I might just invest in one of these to learn more about it and add it alongside my other instruments 😊🎶👌
ya !!!!!!!!!, let's take the most obnoxious instrument that only still exdists because we were forced against our will to play in grade 4 and give it outdated shit cheap crap casio keyboard sounds!!!!!
never tell dentist jokes at the dentist convention. we're musicians, we know about recorders and music stuff already. you can't have all of my day guy i'm xoxos not you.
I would have bought 8 of these for my children but I couldn't get past the bad English of the presenter who drove me crazy with his presentation. Trying to explain this contraption to kids is going to be a miserable for me, a middle school band teacher. They are already way ahead on their iPads and music apps. No blowing required.
Not understanding something isn't a problem. It gets embarrassing though when you display your ignorance in a worldwide youtube comment. You can make choices in life, and sometimes shutting up is the better choice. I'll shut up now.

Super cool. The attention paid to accessibility is commendable.
Accessibility and inclusivity are the main goals of all of our projects. Thanks for your appreciation
Really clean, thoughtful user interface and software design. I hope plenty of people find this device.
Fantastic! Love how you have made it so inclusive.

Really, really cool! So many great ideas for this little gem!
The adaptability to differing levels of ability is very cool. Nice instrument, great work!
This is excellent, could be a great expressive controller for analog synth VSTs. I want one!

Magnifique et très ludique. Le prix est correct. Bravo..

This looks well thought out.
Great! Even if it was just a MIDI controller alone, I can see it being totally useful for many instruments.
I wonder, does it work with SWAM?

Does it have a headphone jack or any audio output jack at all?

Could i use this to play things like Arturias Augmented series instruments inside a daw? Record audio and/or midi notes?

Please explain what is the Z axis control (for midi) None of us understand what is the Z axis movement

wasn't there a spoof/april fools day posting a few years back about a digital re.corder? anyone?

I don't know but digital recorders have been around since the 80s
Didn’t I see this at the last NAMM?
really cool
fantastic 👍

Hi! We are still selling the re.corder, just not with g4m!
That's Ok i found a nice agent here in the UK and i got mine last weekend.
I think there were better instruments at the 1984 NAMM. That is, are we still here with the GM bench?
Take my money!!
