I read you use Gamsol and Liquin for mediums. May I ask how you use them? For example, do you add anything to your initial layers? I notice your paint seems to flow nicely off the brush, wasnt sure if it was from medium or not :) Beautiful painting, as usual ❤️
AAAA I LOVE THIS!!! Random as hell, but I’m doing my Portfolio Concentration, and as my main inspiration I’m using you!!!!! Your artwork inspires me so much!
I am glad I found your channel. I enjoy so many mediums I tried almost everything can't stick to just one. I don't know how other artist use only one medium.🤔
I know this comment is waaay late but I watched this when it first came out and was so excited then as well!!!! Today it just clicked that you literally look so much like your art????? It’s so cool how that happens!! And ofc that’s a compliment, I love your art and have been following you for years because it’s so good to see :) also u answered my question and I remember just yelling at my gf how excited I was about that 🤣🤣🤣 (I’m cosmicerin and still star struck to this day hahah). Okay that was long, love ur work, stay healthy and have a good day!!!
Hey Kelsey, I always loved your art style and I'm a huge fan! Your drawings are actually in my "mastercopy" folder and I constantly copy them, to study your style. It was great seeing you on camera, I never knew you were so gorgeous and had such a strong personality! I wish a lot of success comes your way, cheers!
This was some great info and I even had some mental questions about painting answered just by watching your process on screen. Thanks so much for making this!
The Painting is stunning. I'm amazed by every single face you paint... so stunning! Was nice to get some infos about you and your paintings. You are such a talented and lovely person!
Hi Kelsey! I’m a little late commenting, but I’ve come back to this video again to say thank you for answering questions and sharing more footage of your paintings! I often check to see if you have a new video and was so happy to see this. I’m an aspiring artist and you are such a big inspiration to me. I live in the Detroit area as well, which makes me feel even more connected to you and your art. I know you don’t live in the here any longer, but I was wondering if there where any art stores, or places to take classes you recommended in the area? 💗
Love your works! I am really inspired by you. I study your style and make my originals as well. I also love your background music, gives me that peaceful and nostalgic vibe. ♡♡♡
I can't believe I just found your work now, I thought it was digital at a first glance... It's beautiful! 🎉 Could you please talk about the differences in your process between oils and digital? It would be also nice to hear more about your career path and studies. And maybe a studio your! 😂 Sorry for so many requests, I'm just so happy to have found your work. Have a very nice day!
Loved this! You are my favourite artist (I love many, but when asked, I always say your name). Also this video was not too long. I would happily watch one twice as long. Thank you for sharing!!
Wow thanks for this video, all this is super helpful!! I was wondering about your colors : do you do a any quicker color version (be it digital or traditional) to figure out your overall color palette before? Or do you just decide it while painting, or do you just already visualize it in a corner of your mind? (I asked since on this one it doesn't seem you did any lavis layer for the different areas, compared to other video process or wip snapshots)
Thank you for the video! I didn’t know that’s what you looked like, you look like some of your paintings ♥️ I have a quick question, I took a gap year off to save up money to go to college, by after watching your video I’m thinking of going self taught and maybe a few community college classes and lessons. Do you know of any resources I should look out for? And any lessons for good drawers (lol) and not so good painters? Also, I need help with making my paintings look more interesting, do you have any advice on how to spice up a piece? Thanks again for the QnA 🤟🏻
This was so good!! Thank you for making this video. I hope we get so see more like this in the future c: I do have a question though! I was wondering how you get your sketch on your canvas--Do you draw right on it or do you have a different method?
Cassie Corcoran Thank you so much, and great question! I have a pretty in depth transferring video that I’m in the middle of making that answers just that :) but for now - I scan my initial sketch to the computer, then blow it up in photoshop to fit the size of the canvas I’m using. After that, I print it out ((usually in multiple pieces,)) tape it together, then transfer it with carbon paper to my canvas! It sounds more complicated than it is, but the video should help a lot :)
wow Kelsey, all this talent at only 28! amazing work. Just wondering how you deal with commissions, are you limited to what the client is after or do you get to have full freedom on whatever you create?
Hi Melstar! Thank you so much, this was really sweet of you to say : ) Usually with commissions, I ask the client what they want, first. I always let them know that whatever they choose will always be done in my own style, and be cohesive with the rest of my work. Some clients tell me to just make whatever I want, though! It depends on who I'm working with : )
