As an American I cannot understand why that even now I feel so sad QEII is gone. I am almost teary eyed when I think of her passing or watch a video like this one. I do have a history degree and the British Monarchy is no where near my specialty but the amount of change she saw and navigated through is mind boggling. She didn’t alway make the right decision and was willing to make unpopular hard decisions but as eras changed would always circle back to mend past mistakes as best as she could. Truly one of the greatest public figures and leaders this world has ever had in my opinion. Keep the monarchy hate to yourself if you don’t agree and bring up every negative because as I stated she she did make wrong decisions at times but that’s just human. Her positives far outweigh the negatives.

She is a remarkable woman who gave her whole life in service to her country. I’m British - and I’m not a monarchist - but I have considerable respect for Elizabeth II.
Me too. Totally outdated institution and I can understand Harry wanting to challenge what it feels like to be born into a role, but the Queen is a wonderful person and so admirable. I do wonder about the emotional toll it’s taken on her that she must hide - very British to hide it but it can’t be healthy.
And...drum roll please. The fact that she married a relative! I wonder why she doesn't age?? Have you heard about what goes on underground? Education is a great thing!
Agreed, and after watching her for the past 10 or 15 years, and reading that she has 4 cocktails a day (just reported her doctor made her quit) she’s become more at ease with her life place in the world And I’m more convinced than ever that she truly loved Phillip and vice versa

Her positives far outweigh the negatives.
agree with you and I am Portuguese....in Portugal

She was a constant. Like a parent. A steady parent.
@@christystewart4567 Right. For anyone pretty much under the age of like 80, she was pretty much a fixture. Something that stayed the same no matter how much the wider world changed, how crazy times became. To quote Shakespeare: "Constant as the Northern Star,
Of whose true fixed and resting quality
There is no fellow in the firmament."
Totally agree. RIP QEII

Shes the epitome of "granny" what an absolute lovely lady she was. I do miss her greatly, and I am American!
She’s a one-off. There will never be another British monarch to surpass Elizabeth. Her dedication, her selflessness, her dignity, her femininity.
Agree. Very special lady.
I'm Swedish not a monarchist but I really admire this special lady.
And...drum roll please. The fact that she married a relative!
I wonder why she doesn't age??
Have you heard about what goes on underground?
Education is a great thing!
Agreed, and after watching her for the past 10 or 15 years, and reading that she has 4 cocktails a day (just reported her doctor made her quit) she’s become more at ease with her life place in the world
And I’m more convinced than ever that she truly loved Phillip and vice versa
