And in response the doves say that he's in prison in Odrin (Edirne) and tell her to come with them to see him. Moma Mariyo, Mariyo (in Bulgarian: Мома Марийо, Марийо). It's a traditional song from the northern parts of Pazardzhik province. There's a recording from 1975 of the Bulgarian singer Nadka Karadzhova singing the song. Maybe that's where they learned it from.
