- The Kingdom of Ironforge (aka The Kingdom of Khaz Modan) is the major government of the dwarves on the continent of Khaz Modan. The dwarven kingdom was founded after the awakened dwarves ventured out from the ancient city of Uldaman.
In former times, the Kingdom, led by the Anvilmar family, ruled over the three big dwarven clans Bronzebeard, Wildhammer and Dark Iron clan. After the death of Modimus Anvilmar, the tensions between the clans erupted in a civil war, called the War of the Three Hammers. The Bronzebeards emerged victorious due to owning the largest, best equipped army, and banished the other clans from Ironforge, which founded their own kingdoms.
The later attempt to seize Ironforge by the Dark Irons was repelled by the Bronzebeards and Wildhammer together, but even as Grim Batol, the home of the Wildhammers, was now uninhabitable, they declined the offer to return to Ironforge.
Dwarves are short and stout creatures mostly inhabiting Khaz Modan in the Eastern Kingdoms. They are shorter than humans but taller than gnomes, taking advantage of their size when possible and relying on their robustness and strength when not. The average dwarf is steady, observant and composed both during work and combat, yet able to rage with fierce zeal and persistence when the situation calls for it.
In past ages, the dwarves rarely left the safety of their mountain fortresses, spending their time on refining metal and stone into powerful weapons and beautiful jewelry. However, when the call to battle sounded, they rose up to defend their friends and allies with unmatched courage and valor. King Magni Bronzebeard led the Kingdom of Ironforge dwarves to becoming one of the most staunch members of the Alliance.

It's been a while since I've done one of this kind of videos, but I thought it's a good idea to publish this one in winter.
Like always, doing this kind of video makes me learn more about the lore, but I am insecure when it comes to what I've selected as relevant ideas for the Dwarves of Vanilla. It should have been a video focused on the Ironforge faction, but I couldn't omit related things such as Dark Iron Dwarves or Wildhammer Dwarves.

Would love to continue my work, but I need your help: please support my channel in any way you can. More details in the video description.

With love,
Meisio
I love how u made this one going from the outside of Dun Morogh to the inside of Iron Forge. I love it, thanks
Love it!
@@victorpopov5248 Thank you, I am usually following a logical path on most of my (newer) movies. In this movie it's dictated by the lore :)
Salutations Victor!
@@nefle541 Nice to _hear_ from you again Nefle :) Happy you like it :)
I know it is kinda randomly asking but do anyone know of a good website to stream new movies online?
Oh boy... my very first character running around dun morogh. Such great memories.
Soon
I know I might sound like a nostalgic idiot, but I truly feel the fog adds so much immersion, even though it's there du to graphical limitations.
I mean if we look at 1:30 it looks like the zone goes on forever and the transitions are smoother that way. I remember playing in westfall when cataclysm launched and I realized that I could easily see Moonbrook from Sentinel's Hill and noticed how close the 2 actually are. The vast desert of Westfall suddendly became a small playable area surrounded by mountains.
You are not wrong you know!? Distance view was certainty for performance limitations but it's clearly part of the Nostalgia. Later, not only this, but also the flying mounts made the world seem smaller. When I've played the WoW Classic Demo, I've picked old settings, but even with that, I could see a lot more details than the original client. Hopefully they will fix it.
Salutations Toini! :)
And Loch Modan had no lake and that bridge(I forgot the name) was destroyed
@@henriquebitencourt4280 The Stonewrought Dam and the Thandol Span too. Franclorn's ghost must rightfully be pretty upset about it :( ....
At least they left Stonewrought Pass undamaged so we can still go to Searing Gorge without some Cataclysm-caused tunnel blockage in the way.
The dwarves are a must have for any serious fantasy world. Thanks for this!
Here in memory of Mazarbul, dedicated and brave priest. May he rest.
Such a wholesome Comment section...
Unfortunately, I never seem to be able to play WoW. Never the time or hardware. I hope in the future I might be able to play, but for now, these songs serve as a dream. A dream of a land far away that I seek to one day feel beneath my feet...
Thank you for these playlists.
Fuck, the nostalgia is strong in this one, my first character was a gnome and after that a dwarf. This place is like my second home.
Sometimes when im in bed i think back and imagine walking through dun morogh and dammmm it gives me good vibes.
Greetings from the swiss alps and a happy 2019.
For Khaz Modan!
Oh boi! As a proud Night Elf fan I can say without any doubt that the Dwarves are my second favorite race in WoW. I love that atmosphere of adventure and exploring when you walk out in Dun Morogh and Loch Modan as a dwarf. So much good memories, despite that I started playing Vanilla just few years ago on Nostalrius. Thank you, Meisio! ^^
Hey Toxa :)
Yes, dwarves are very cool. I am also associating the race with great players and friends who played the race, which I've had the privilege to play with during Vanilla times. Almost everything about them is cool (well, females dwarves aren't my favorite, but it will do! :) )
I'm working from home and I had to stop and login into youtube just to subscribe to your channel. Your videos are so amazing, thank you!! Regards from Spain!!
I love the Dwarves music! Perfect for the season too.
Yes, I've saved them for the winter holidays. Not 100% of the video is winter focused, but at least most of it is.
Happy to see from you again Gintoki! :)
@@Meisio Have a great Holiday! I always enjoy your videos :)
Night elves and drwarves are best races from blue side😉.nice
Yep, I agree!
Hey Karol! :D
Great video, the dwarves have always been my favorite race in the Warcraft universe. I love the clear Tolkien inspiration the dwarves have.
Hehe, I was thinking of you Jake when I made this video :) Happy to discover you've seen it :)
@@Meisio Why thank you :) Happy holidays!
the "Old" zones are much more organic. i mean, houses are made of stone and wood, using ropes and a little metal. even places are lighiting by fire (candles and torches). The newer zones are much more magical, everithing is made of crystal things , even trees are glass like things.
I'm honestly fine with both. Both the familiar and the extraordinary feature and meet in fantasy. Sometimes it's very similar to our reality. Other times it's utterly unlike our reality. It varies a lot, sometimes even within the same setting.
Brilliant thing! I set it up as a background for my TV work and I feel like I have Azeroth outside my window.
great views man, with nostalgic vanilla music, it makes this vids extra cozy and deep
Thank you and welcome back ❤
Love this video! Not just locked into a zone's ambiance and music but then a mixture of soundtracks behind one race. Great job as always!
I love these videos, both for the nostalgia, and the calm visuals. How do you do the camera work? With no flying mounts in vanilla, it must be difficult no?
Hey Timesink,
The difficulty in these video is not in the tech part. Is in knowing the lore and showing relevant images / places, also, playing the right music.
I've hacked that flying part as you can see :)
Kind regards,
Meisio
I do wonder how the composer had access to such highquality samples back in the day. I also question how much of it was sampled and how much actually recorded by real instruments. The main log in screen for vanilla is definitely sampled instruments.
Hey Carl. From what I've listened and read from other, vanilla music instruments are sampled, the only things not sampled is the chorus of course.
Salutations
Great work 👌 can't wait to see Blood elves :)
I've wrote it on a previous comment: only Trolls and Gnomes left on the Vanilla Series, but there is not enough specific music for them. I am considering skipping them for now to start doing TBC Blood Elves and Draenei. Another friend requested Blood Elves a loooong time ago and I did not forget that.
Thank you for watching :)
I can't double like this... But I can comment on how much I love it!
Hehe. Thank you for the support Mujii :-)
Still loving the content! Keep it up my friend!
Hey Tyler, I am delighted I see with this video old friends commenting again :)
Much love,
Meisio
Exactly what I need right now
i dont even have time to play anymore =[ but i still love these type of things! wow is the best
Oh this is really cool! Just on time for the holiday spirit!:)
Hey, you are back ❤
I know dwarves are close to your heart, because of the close relationship with gnomes :)
Salutations!
Meisio
@@Meisio Haha, yes, I'm fond of dwarves and gnomes!:D
Thank you for all your hard work you put in your videos!:)
The soyraces can not comprehend the gigadwarf themes
33:16 RIP - Loch Modan :'( I hate post-Cataclysm Azeroth..
Will you ever do the Draenei mix? :
Hey :)
Yep, will be a Draenei TBC mix for sure. The plan was to make one after I'm finished with _of Vanilla_ series. I've also received Blood Elves request, so it made sense to do it together.
Only Trolls and Gnomes left. Not enough specific music for Trolls and Gnomes though and I am seriously considering to skip them a bit and move to TBC part.
I know it's not the same, but this counts as a modern mix of Draenei music:

@@Meisio Beautiful mixes you linked here! About the trolls however, I encourage you to do mix using music from not only from Echo Isles and Durotar, but also of Zul'Farrak and Stranglethorn Vale. The voodoo vibes are hidden all around the vanilla world! Also I want to thank you for all you're doing, I'm listening to your mixes while cooking, reading, playing or painting. It made me calmer and more balanced :) .
I would love to see one of wetlands
Is this a begining of a new series ? And nice done btw :)
More like the end of it: WoW Classic Factions playlist: tiny.cc/8t50xy
I'm missing Trolls and Gnomes and I am done.
Thank you for watching
@@Meisio Oh i have only seen night elves and orcs i thought this is first of dwarf videos :)
One video for each faction: Darnassus, Orgrimmar, ... , Ironforge, etc.. Apologies if my communication was not good.
(Offtopic: it's hard and sometimes absurd to stick only with the faction chars / buildings / music. And I guess that my Faction Series has transformed in Races Series, but with a focus on players' factions.)
wich class is good with dwarf?
Priest, hunter, paladin. I like a lot dwarf priests and hunters personally.
Happy holidays Valentin! :)
@@Meisio thaks! happy holidays to you too!!
