I have decided and not to build a platform in my 2000 Land Cruiser. I want more room in the back to sit up etc. So I just got a roll up futon than I can use and roll out and sleep on it and then roll it up and stuff it in a corner when I don't need it. I'm 6'3" and I fit just fine back there and have plenty of room to sit down and work on my computer etc. Sorry about all the snow. Brings back memories. Now in Florida. Good luck man! Stay safe, everyone goes home.
@@AdventureTEQ I don't have photos or a video on YT but have a look at the channel Xplorer Steve DIY. He has a video called "Micro Camper Build in a 96 4Runner Part 1." He shows how and why he does not use a platform. I hope that helps.
Would you know if Falken AT3 All terrain tires are okay for the conditions up there? They are three peak rated but I don't know how that compares to the winter type you have on your rig. I have a Y2k LX470
You see my video on winter tires?? I’m sure your tires would do fine. But nothing compares to having legit winter tires when on ice and in blizzard conditions.
I’m 6’. I’ve slept in the back of the 100 without any pads and there is plenty of room if you angle to the side a little. But on this platform here there’s also plenty of room for me. Just toss some boxes in there and test fit yourself before you get to buildin’.
Thanks for a great look at what can be done with the space.

Thanks! I'd be curious of what your setup looks like. Do you have a video or photos online somewhere to link to?

Aye man just a quick question. How tall are you? I’m 6’2 and I want to build a platform in my 100 but I’m not sure if I’ll fit.
