Just wanted to say thank you for this. I've never assembled anything besides a chair and bookshelf, and I know that without this video, I would've been so lost making this bed (alone) and it would've taken me 3x times as much time to put together. The ikea instructions looked like gibberish to me lol, so thank you!

Thank you so much for this video!! I watched your video before I bought the bed frame and throughout building it. The IKEA instructions were terrible. This tutorial was much needed. Took me 2.5h and required an extra set of hands. Used a hammer and a drill. Note: For anyone buying this bed frame, IKEA provides black cornered stoppers instead of the white/transparent ones shown in the video. I recommend drilling the stoppers before attaching the middle beam to the bed frame.

I would not have attempted this assembly if I hadn't watched your very clear instructions before buying the bed. All worked out much more smoothly than I anticipated with ONE notable exception. The hardware that aligns the slatted bed base has changed since you made this video: it is no longer a simple cone shape and, because Ikea did not move the holes in the side and center supports, you can't tighten them down by twisting the plastic parts from on top.The horrible IKEA instructions have you put down the slats THEN the hardware, which is absurd. It would have been SO easy to attach them to the metal rail before the rails were installed!! One other improvement would be to attach the centerpiece brackets to the head and foot when they are lying flat, before they are assembled. That said, your video was so clear and easy to follow: thank you!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! This video was beyond helpful! I was so intimidated by building this and have very little building skills and almost did a Task Rabbit for it but thought I'd give it a shot and this video saved me. Very clear instructions and not complicated just takes a little time but not too bad. I also did it all with out a drill and just screen drivers and hammers so if you're wondering about what tools you need those worked for me!

Lady here with a back done in already by a bent bed and end of life mattress, having to go it alone tommorow if I have any chance of recovery! So glad for your guidance, especially the recommendation for the mattress height… no one wants to make the wrong choice at that stage and have to take it apart. Wish me luck

I can't like this enough. You saved many hours of my life, which I would have spent building this bed if I followed Ikea booklet (which you rightly threw in the beginning :D ). Very well made video, very clear descriptions and steps. Even though my bed's last few steps differed but I could easily manage due to understanding developed from this video. Wonderful. Thanks.

for anyone in the future, its mostly the same but it is recommended to insert the 4 ends before you tighten the wheel-like contraptions, those things have a tendency to get stuck.
Also to hold the wodden planks they now give you 4 black pegs to hold them together
