@@SivaBal642 there's no such thing as single channel and dual channel RAM as far as I know. You want even number of sticks and same capacity for it to run in dual channel mode.

@@ItsBinhRepaired bro I’m not able to use the trackpad for some reason. The blue tape on the connector for trackpad has come out, below the keyboard, can that be the problem for trackpad not working?
@@kartikyadav7560 the blue plastic tab makes it thicker to make proper contact with the pins. Without that it won't actually be connected. You can put a tiny amount of super glue in the center of the blue tab and press it back onto the connector holding for 30+ seconds. Make sure none of the glue squeezes out over the edge and doesn't get onto the metal contact pins.

@@kartikyadav7560 you'll have to try to scrape the glue off the metal pins without damaging them. Sounds like you put too much. You could try layering tape on it to mimic the thickness of the blue tab.
Hello Bro, very nice and detailed explanation. I have three quick questions and looking for your help: 1) I want to clean the fan and vent so after opening the panel can I remove fan just after removing the wifi card? I think it's not necessary to remove any thing else other than wifi card to remove the fan on this model? 2) Can vent be also cleaned (after removing fan) without detaching the motherboard? 3) Also can we use a normal soft brush to clean the little dust on motherboard? I could if you shipped me one and paid for the repair. I can't survive off of buying every computer and making videos. Sadly each video makes me less than $1 on average and not many people support the channel beyond watching a few seconds of a video for a tiny piece of information. 😢

Very well explained. Just not sure it's worth me adding more RAM. It has 4 now. Was going to max it at 16, e 8 mb sticks. Just send like a lot of delicate connectors to worry about. Not sure that will solve the sluggish performance of the computer.

Good Morning in CA Excellent video Binh. I'm trying to upgrade the same laptop for a friend. The SSD upgrade went well but the memory not. I did the scan with Crucial to make sure the module was compatible. I got the memory stick from Amazon, 8GB but the laptop not even boot with it. When I put back the old memory stick it works well. I just want to double the memory to 8GB since 4 is not enough for Windows 10. Do you think if I try a different brand will work?? Or can you recommend a module that might work in this case? in all likelihood, if there are parts in a laptop that will be upgraded, its the storage and the ram. Its crazy how these manufacturers make it so difficult for end users to do this. Couldnt they make special compartments for ram and HDD/SSD? Couldnt they integrate a tiny switch that will also disconnect the battery from the mobo? Geez!

Could you link me a screwdriver? I was using a 1.5x50mm but ran into issues when trying to remove the screws under the cd drive.

Should be fine. You'll want matching sticks of RAM. Measure the thickness in mm of the cd drive. I don't memorize or check those things.

After watching your vdo I added 8gb RAM to the original 4gb... the BIOS shows 12 gb of RAM but the usb doesnt work. Any advice or solution?
