Thank you my girlfriend's computer was making a lot of noise so I followed your video took it apart give it a good clean and it all seems good she's very happy probably would have cost about £100 if she took it to the shop. she said she'd give me £50 for fixing it but I'm still waiting for payment. Lol thanks 👍

Fantastic. Thank you so very much. I had to replace my sister in law's HDD for an SSD and for the life of me, I just could not figure out how to open this piece of sh*t. @@ItsBinhRepaired Hi my man, I just finished reassembling the laptop. However the synaptic mouse pad is no longer working. It shows with no driver installed in device manager. Deleting it and rebooting ends up not showing at all anymore in device manager. Could you confirm that the connector at 05:28 is the one in question? Thanks in advance.
Check 7:05
@@ItsBinhRepaired I see you flipped it around lol. Is that the blue connector on the left or the other one? I have returned the computer to my sister in law but might take a look again in a few weeks. She uses a mouse most of the time, so no hurry for me.
Both are required for it to work properly
Not sure how it took me twice as long using 2 hands, but thanks very much for the informative guide!
Because I've been doing this for over 10 years. Lol
Thank you SOOOOO so much for this video!!!you have just saved the day with it. I don't know anything about laptops (or electricals in general) and I managed to get my files and photos back from my dead laptop using your video! 🎉🎉Both personal AND business files.

TY very much for this. I almost broke my almost identical model before learning from this video about removing the kb. I wish I knew in advance that a spanner isn't the pry tool I was expecting. I thought someone who reviewed tool kits called a pry tool a spanner so I ordered a kit that included spanners. Not the same thing. Need something else for prying.
I just use a frosting spatula. If it's too thick you'll have to file it down to sharpen it like a knife to get it to be thin enough for prying.
Thank you very much for posting this video it was very helpful. Your directions and instructions are spot on. The only challenging step I had on my laptop was reconnecting the keyboard: Its a doozy... I broke the lip lock to the keyboard connector that locks the keyboard ribbon.
Were you able to fix it? You have to put it back on perpendicular to the connector.

Taking it apart is all fine and well. It's putting it back together and running again -- that's the hard part. Getting that keyboard connector to sync correctly was a b*tch.
Putting it back together isn't difficult. Remembering what you did to take it apart is the hard part. To put it together, you just rewatch the video and do everything in reverse.
@@ItsBinhRepaired I had to reset the keyboard ribbon 4 times before I got a decent connection. Sometimes some of the keys have to be push down more than once to register. Cheap manufacturing techniques. Didn't have this problem 20 years ago.

Damn this thing was not meant to be opened, was it!? I'm trying to take the hard drive out of a laptop I'm trying to fix or extract data off and it's a bloody nightmare! This is clearly an entry-level laptop judging by the poor build quality and how sealed up the whole thing is.

Only if the 4gb is in a single slot. You'd be better off upgrading to 8gb with 2 4gb sticks, but SSD is the real performance upgrade.
If you only want to take out the keyboard there is one screw to remove under the RAM door marked with a keyboard sign. Use a thin screwdriver to push out the keyboard where the screw was and don't worry the tip of the screwdriver is pushing against the screw boss. Then grab the edge of the portion of displaced keyboard to un-clip the rest of it. No need to prise it out using a thin blade.

Awesome!
Hey, rly good video! I have a different model but it still helped a lot.
Quick question, my laptop is not turning on anymore, it used to work perfectly when plugged on the wall but it would shut down when unplugged, I thought it was the battery but now it’s not turning on at all, any idea on what could help?
Hmmm right after replacing the battery it stopped working?
What the hell.
I was fixing this laptop thought the charger port was faulty because it doesn't come on, no LED, no charging, dead, then I find out the charger is ok the charger port is ok but the keyboard is faulty, and when I disconnect the keyboard the laptop works fine, HOW?!
When I boot it with no keyboard then plug it back, half of the keys dont work, quarter work fine, the rest registers two different keys when one is hit...
Sounds like the keyboard is fried
@@ItsBinhRepaired At least replacement is only £7
: )
I turned on the computer quite a bit, but the area on the left side where the power button is located does not turn on. It seems like it is stuck with glue. How can I open it? Is there anything I forgot?
Need to take the computer apart
If content is powerful then you don’t need any camera setup/fancy tables with props/lighting. You proved it!
I have a semi fancy camera setup, but it's very affordable. Lol Thanks!
Thank you brother ❤❤

Hi,
My keyboard isn't working properly. I have disassembled HP pavilion 15 n206tx model for hard disk change but now some of keys aren't working. I have tried many times removing and putting the keyboard panel back but it's not working properly. What should I do?
You might have damaged the keyboard flex cable or might not be inserting it properly. If the cable is damaged, you'll need to replace the keyboard. :(
@@ItsBinhRepaired Cable wasn't properly inserted. Anyway thanks .
@@Maahipiya great!
Hp laptops are such a fiddle fuck to get inside off... you got a good chance to break half your laptop to just to upgrade some ram 😂
My lenovo you just remove 10 screws and the whole back slides off lol
Yeah, it varies from model to model.
Very Well documented and without it I would have thrown this particular repair out the window :) Who designs these laptops ? Are they members of some form of cult that relishes driving technicians to drink drugs or rage ? :) Confirms my already established opinion that HP Laptops are about the worst pieces of junk in technology...end rant! :)
Lol there are worse designs. They want to make money. They don't make money if people fix them themselves.
Hey, when I try to plug the keyboard back in, the connector lock won’t go back down, any ideas? Nice video though!
Try without the connector in. You might be putting it in wrong
@@ItsBinhRepaired thanks! I was messing around with it, and I eventually got it to work.

Hi, can we update this laptop with ssd drive?
Sure, this will help ua-cam.com/video/4p5jFDzVwUw/v-deo.html
What screwdriver did you use to remove the 3 silver screws at the cd drive slot ??
I believe it was a P0
I couldn't remove screws at cd drive.
Impossible to remove them 😫
If you destroyed them, then you need this and a drill amzn.to/2Hxv8Xl it's pricey, but it can be used for other things in the future.
Thank you! Really helped me out getting the damn thing open.
Glad it helped.
Thank you for this video
