- Join me on a Friday night walk of The Mirage on the Las Vegas Strip in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Mirage opened in November 1989 as the world's most expensive resort at a cost of $630 million. The Mirage was the first mega resort on the Las Vegas Strip and started the mega resort boom in the 1990s on the Strip. The Mirage has 3,044 hotel rooms. It is located on the Las Vegas Strip between the Caesars Palace Las Vegas and Treasure Island Las Vegas. Hard Rock International took over The Mirage operation and will rebrand it as Hard Rock Las Vegas with construction starting to be determine. The Mirage is home to attractions like The Volcano and The Beatles LOVE by Cirque du Soleil and Shim Lim: LIMITLESS. It features restaurants like Tom Coliccio's Heritage Steak and Osteria Costa. The Volcano will eventually be replace by a guitar when the property rebrand into The Hard Rock Las Vegas.

Hard Rock should keep The Mirage and build The Hard Rock Guitar Somewhere else Because The Mirage So Beautiful and Nice and Lovely
Sadly that won’t be the case! They are only licensing The Mirage name until their rebrand is complete.
I heard the casino and hotel are staying. The guitar will be built right off the sidewalk where the volcano and water feature is. Doesn't seem like enougg4room though.

Stayed at Mirage last year. Was pretty nice. Great location. Big casino. Staying at Treasure Island this May.

Will the volcano still be there this summer? Planning a visit in July
The Hard Rock has been tight lipped about their construction and renovation schedule for the Mirage. Nothing concrete has been announced yet except it is business as usual as The Mirage until they finish construction. My guess is it will still be around in July.
Is the pool open?
Yes, from 10am-5pm.
What are the show times?
For the Volcano, 8PM, 9PM, 10PM, and 11PM.

Yeah, and it was always broken! Almost all the resorts got rid of their outdoor moving walkways.

The moving walkways always break down and expensive to maintain. Not worth it unless it’s incline like the Venetian one going to the Grand Canal Shoppes.
The Mirage needs to stay. Replace the Circus Circus with the Hard Rock.

Oh wow, I didn’t think anyone walk as much as I do. I averaged like 10-12 miles walking a day.😂 It’s how I stay in shape. Yeah, it’s hard to get around airports with a wheelchair. The walker should give you some more flexibility.
