I don't like her rendition either. TBH, I find the whole Italian version (not just the cast, but even the adaptation both of songs and even dialogs) of this movie to be rather low-key :/

I've heard that for some people who understand Italian Moana song lyrics are kinda strange, what do you think about them?
Love your question. Well, yes. I do agree that they're quite strange. I normally like the job this songwriter we have now does (she's the same who adapted LIG), but for this movie, the lyrics seem to be...kind of rushed.
For instance, in this song, you can easily hear how Tala's lines are totally out of rythm.
In HFIG, the lines "I know everybody on this island / ... / I know everybody on this island has a role, on this island" in Italian turn out as "Yet everybody seems happy / ... / They all have those cheerful faces / They’re always delighted". That is: three lines gone to repeat exatcly the same concept.
And then again, in YW, the overwhelming quantity of "okay"s is really too much. They were evidently placed there just to fill missing syllables, and that's really irritating.
And overall, all of these lyrics are generally rather simplistic, superficial, rough and unpoetical, beside not having the usual nearly perfect lip-sync which normally characterizes this songwriter's works.

I agree (i'm italian). Some lines sound a bit strange, sometimes even forced. I think italian is a good language to be sung because there's some kind of innate melody to it, but in this song (and in "how far i'll go" - "oltre l'orizzonte" too) they chose some really strange, complicated and not-so-melodic words in many occasions.
I absolutely love Chiara Grispo's voice, but again i think the lyrics didn't let her go all out, seems to me like she had to cut a few high notes (compared to the other languages) because of said complicated words that really didn't go along with the melody of the songs.

Buy it's very difficult to find everytime the right selection of words for the labial expression, and mantain the message or the song.

I think Tala voice actress Is a comedian, not a professional voice actress.
Vaiana è uno dei migliori doppiaggi italiani mai realizzati a mia opinione, ma non capisco la scelta di doppiarlo con voci cantate e parlate separate. In questa canzone ci sono entrambe, e riesco a sentire il distacco. Penso anche che Emanuela e Chiara abbiano due interpretazioni diverse del personaggio, e ciò influisce. Insomma, testo adattato benissimo, e seppur diverse le due interpretazioni vanno benissimo al personaggio, ma se dovessi cambiare qualcosa, avrei dato a Vaiana una sola voce come nella maggior parte degli altri doppiaggi
Questo film è uno dei peggiori doppiaggi italiani mai realizzati finora: erano in ritardo, è stato fatto di fretta, i testi sono stati messi su in fretta è furia, metà dei doppiatori sono stati scelti troppo alla svelta e hanno avuto poco tempo per registrare le loro parti. Dopo Rapunzel, questo è uno dei peggiori doppiaggi degli ultimi vent'anni.

Però sono stata molto sorpresa, perché di solito preferisco i doppiaggi italiani o castigliani a quelli originali, mi è capitato con Frozen in cui ho preferito l'interpretazione di Elsa della Autieri rispetto a quella di Idina Menzel, senza mettere in dubbio il suo talento. Invece per Vaiana, non lo so, nessun doppiaggio mi ha detto niente. La mia doppiatrice di Vaiana preferita rimane Auli'i sia in inglese che anche Hawaiano.

Because in Italy during the 90s there was a famous porno star called Moana. So, production choice to change name at the movie in "Oceania" and the name of protagonist is "Vaiana". Probably the motivation was the risk for children of to search the name Moana and... Well... Welcome to dark web

Il contrario è semplice da trovare e banale da fare, per non parlare del fatto che è qualcosa che non interessa a molti, dato che sono molte di più le persone che non hanno bisogno di una traduzione di un testo inglese per capirlo. Al contrario, il numero di persone che non conosce l'italiano e vorrebbe avere un'idea di cosa dice il testo è nettamente superiore e trovare qualcuno che traduca dall'italiano all'inglese non è altrettanto facile. Ovviamente questo tipo di video non è destinato agli italiani

La versione coreana è discretamente fuori sincrono. Certo canti meglio se non ti devi preoccupare di muovere le labbra insieme al personaggio.
