Greatest song ever written. But I never heard the 2nd album verse.
What memories this song brings back for me. my mom. may she be resting in peace rocked this song...she played the guitar and sang this every sunday in chruch they begged her to sing this song. with us being so young...time she was done singing this...everyone was crying. screaming. talking in tongue. scared us..How i wish i had her singing this on tape or something...

I love looking at the congregation/audience. You can see sincere appreciation for the singing. Some are pondering the words. Others are smiling and their eyes sparkle. George Younce makes no attempt to hide his appreciation. Gene MacDonald's face is lit up. That is appreciation for a lovely rendition of a great hymn. The Bishops are family, my dad (Jr Williams) played guitar, bass, and banjo for them for years, and my great grandfather is the writer of the song. Love to all who enjoy/ appreciate this tune.
