Dear Mother
I hope this letter finds you and Da in good health. It has been a while since I have been somewhere long enough to write, and I'm sorry I haven't been able to sooner. Just know that I'm safe.
I have finally made it to Lissos. As I write this, I am sitting the one of the coziest taverns I've been in yet watching the rain drum against the cobblestones outside. The food is good and the drink is welcome after a hard day's walk to reach this town on the coast. I shall have to ask the barkeep for the recipe for his spiced cider to send home. I know Da would love it. Ha ha!
Tomorrow, I shall seek out the local guilds for work. I have nary an inkling of what kind of job they could have for me, but I'm eager to prove myself. Maybe it'll be hunting some beast in the woods near by, or guarding something important? Yes, Mother, I promise to be careful when I can. If I can manage, I plan on staying here as a home base for a time. Here, at least, the courier riders have a station and drop box for mail, which will make writing home more consistent.
The people here seem nice so far. Given the trade that runs through town, they must be used to strangers coming through. Perhaps I can find a friend or two here? I will try to, for travel has been awfully lonely for a while now. That being my only complaint about setting out on my journey so far.
In short, I am far from home, and I'm alright.
Give my best wishes to Da and Henry, and give Lilly a belly rub for me when you can, to let her know I miss her

How fortunate it is to hear that you are well, it truly fills my heart with joy this day, I thank the Lord for His kind mercy.
Your father, though a man of few words, was the most affected upon your leave to gain master apprenticeship. He locked himself in his study for 3 days straight and passed the days in great sulk!
Rest assured he was able to give up on his mood when I prepared for him the Mooricks pie, his favorite dish. It would have been much sooner had I the spiced cider recipe that you've mentioned. You should know my dear that the key to unlocking a man's heart is through his stomach.
Henry is well also, for a boy of his age he is surely a smart one. Sometimes I wonder whether he has too much of his father in him, always tinkering with some mechanical parts around the house than say playing with other boys from the village.
The courier boy who handed me this letter scroll by the name of Sammy (you know the blue eyed dreamy one) had asked about your welfare also. I simply told him to mind his own business.
Do be wary of the traders in Lissos my dear, they are a bunch of ruffians that will try to play tricks right from under your nose! However, do behave in a manner suitable to make your father and your family proud. Of this I am sure.

I like how the drink and plate of food with the cheese and the bread slowly disappears, and it is neither too crowded, nor are the same customers present. It is so subtle, yet significantly shows that time has passed. Again, the sound of the wood crackling and the rain on the pane in the end is icing on the cake. Loved it!
did you notice the fireplace is enchanted? The logs never burn down. :P

yeah the 1 thing i really like is that this is an actual story! you can see ACTUAL PROGRESSION and different camera angles, if you have like some customers that come and leave sometimes its gonna be even more awesomr

I've just found this and my urge was immediately to respond to the 'Lyra' letter and suggest that when it came to guilds, if she encountered a group called Vox Machina she should avoid them like the plague! Even apparently simple jobs always become hazardous with them.

I'm using this as a background for writing a biography on my great grandmother, who's almost 90 years old. This music is making her life sound more like an ancient tale or story than a boring report. There's just something special about it and it makes me appreciate it more somehow. Thanks for all your writing ambience! I've used several for both writing and homework.

Anyone know where I can learn guitar pieces like these? The life of a bard suits me.
If you have some basic musical knowledge or inclination, you might be able to stumble your way through it a little. If you haven't had any musical learning yet, you can look up how to read music, what it means, etc. A quick internet search shows plenty of resources online for starting to learn. Since we all learn differently, you should pick what attracts you the most.
Either way, if the bard life suits you, you should give it a try. Music is a fantastic way to be happy and relieve stress. Good luck, random future bard.

i happened to look up and saw the oxcart with hooded figure slowly cross at 15:33. love the detail and subtle changes. my only request would be to have some of the rain and thunder rumbles heard from inside the tavern. ot perhaps between tracks. that would bring this to perfection-plus (since this is already pretty perfect)

I love every single video. They bring me to a state of such tranquility. The animations are impeccable by the way.
This is one of my favourites. It reminds me a lot of the Prancing Pony from Lord of the Rings. I can just picture Strider sat with one foot up on his chair and the other dangling off the side watching as the four hobbits toy away their anonymity.
And as a concluding not, can I just say how absolutely beautiful the fires are in these animations. People could really learn a thing or two from the quality these videos display.

Its beautiful. It evokes the imagination and curiosity I had as a child, which sadly has faded. I look at your animation and wonder of these times. Is there subtle pressure on the guest to leave? What was the economic viability of the tavern? What is the guest studying in times of limited knowledge? What is their background, they are literate in a time when most weren't? Is it a stable and safe society or are they anxious of invasion? Some questions that I pondered:D

The gentle curve of the tower, the hanging root from the little tree, the various windows and doors, fences and bushes, bricks and weathering on everything. The ruts and puddles, and especially the little culvert underneath the tavern steps. Very thoughtful composition.

This playlist has been a godsent for me on a day like today! A nasty storm is making its way past my island over the next few days, and I'm staying inside and slowly unpacking boxes of boxes of stuff into a new apartment. This is really helping make the move all the more cozy despite the bad weather, so thank you! I shall be hunkering down and riding it out while pretending, in my heart, that I'm waiting it out in a cozy tavern instead (where i don't have to organize boxes of stuff)
