Nintendo missed the mark with the version of Mike Tyson's Punch Out we got. I can't speak for anyone else who was a kid in 1980s but I wanted to be Tyson not fight him. Having a character that looked like a small child as the protagonist never made any sense to me. This game made Tyson the final boss and by doing so it made him the villain which no one saw him as back then. People wanted to see Tyson end dudes with first round knock outs. No one was on the side of his opponents. The game is called Mike Tyson's Punch Out. It should have been about giving players the opportunity to step into the shoes of the most fearsome boxer in the world.
@DarkXWolf17_MD actually hold up: I wonder if it could still be ported to the actual NES if it's using a custom engine because that now reminds me there is a Brazilian mod team that used two engine SDRG I forget it's acronym, and the Hamoopig engine to basically recreate the original Fatal Fury game as well as Real Bout Fatal Fury Special for the Sega Genesis. Now the Sega Genesis already had a port of the original Fatal Fury game but this one is basically a remake using the same arcade sprites and edited backgrounds and the gameplay is completely revamped so now there's no line switching and there actually a workable combo system.
You play the entire game, only allowed to throw a few punches, you get a game over at the end but you get $20mil
Mike Tyson VS Jake Paul
This is surprisingly not how it went
Ayy this didn’t age well
"I lost to Jake Paul.
I lost... to Jake Paul..."
If it was Tyson in his peak prime, Jake loses.
I wish I could have put MONEY on that!!!!!!!!!
Mike having 99 stamina and basically endless health is very funny
I wish you could choose your character in mike Tyson punch out
Tyson looks worst from behind
even more this past weekend
