There is a health crisis in America, and Black women and girls are among the hardest hit. Black women are dying at a higher and faster rate than any other group in the country from chronic diseases. GirlTREK is changing that. We encourage Black women and girls to use walking as the first practical step to leading healthier, more fulfilled lives. Co-founded by Morgan Dixon and Vanessa Garrison, GirlTREK has over one million members (and counting) and has been featured on CNN, The New York Times, Essence Magazine, and many other national news outlets.
