21 Essential Questions | Day 20 | The Story of Bunchy Carter
Day 20: Collaboration or Competition?
In today’s reflection, we consider whether collaboration or competition truly drives success.
Bunchy Carter’s life as a member of the Black Panther Party offers us a profound lesson in the strength of collaboration. Carter understood that collective action, unity, and shared vision were essential for creating lasting change. His commitment to working together for a common cause challenges the idea that success must come at the expense of others.
As we move through our own journeys, it’s important to question whether competition pushes us forward, or if collaboration is the true key to growth and impact.

Is that Minetta Hare in the blue shirt on the left at the 1:43 mark? I know she's passed on, and if that's her it is not shocking that she was a part of this movement. Wow! Congratulations! I must come see this in person.

Thank you Angela Davis for enlightening the young people about feminism because it has to do a lot with black women in black people it's not necessarily about white women it's not necessarily about just having power it's about having equality inequality of life whether you're a man or a woman you are a human being and you have rights just like the man you have rights he should not have more rights than you have this is what I believe feminism is about. Recognizing that we are people too

Wow! A powerful and inspiring word was spoken between two bearers of iconic African American dynasties. Both sisters are legendary in their own ways. Their parents’ work and sacrifices for civil rights and justice for our community gave us two approaches-the necessary defense and/or the nonviolent resistance- that we can exercise. Right on ✊🏾❤️🖤💚
