Just an updated 2023 note to add, PSA said they have a preference for no tabs on the sleeve because it slows the process down. Psa has a machine that cuts the card out of the card saver. Love your vids!

Just a heads up, two things: 1) PSA themselves have a video they posted ~7months ago confirming that they do not want pull tabs on the submissions they receive; and 2) PSA's site states that the declared value should be the POST-grading value of the card. The TCGPlayer site typically lists un-graded prices, which are much lower than graded prices. This isn't particularly important though, except in the case where a card is damaged in their custody, which would affect their compensation to you (per their site). Good video other than those two bits!
in my experience they just ignore it. once it's open, they just pull the card out from the penny sleeve, tab or no tab. But if they say, no tab, then the last thing you want to do is upset the grader (human with emotions)@@MelloMatee

also for anyone without a magnifying glass to hand ive used the zoom on my phone camera to check cards over and a black light UV torch helps spot marks invisible to our eyes
You should do a video for submitting high end modern cards. How would you deal with cards that are alternate art or secret alternate art and all the other newer stuff.

Oh I was stuck on the “declared value total” part wasn’t sure what number I put there but it makes sense to go to tcgplayer and I’ve use tcgplayer price-guide easy to look up prices 🙂

Searching through my childhood collection found a couple cards that could be worth big bucks. A Groudon Gold Star Pokémon 2005 EX Delta Species 111/113 that seems to me MINT and I’m shocked to see the prices they are going for

The only kind of grading I can find is called Economy, and it costs 50$ per card, and it says the estimated value is 999$. So my question is, did it change in the past 5 months?

This is correct, they cut the side of the card saver and open it like a book. They are saving your card saver.

Have you ever tried the penney sleeves by grade saver pro? They have a pull tab built into the penny sleeve. Slightly higher price but well worth it!
