I really like your patient and deliberate pace. It's exactly how I like to operate. Will be doing fluid changes on my RAV4 this weekend. Thank you very much. Subscribed! Will check out some of your other videos right now!
Thanks a lot for great video with clear instructions and explanation. I have RAV4 2014 2.0 AWD (EU version) and I hope that there is still great access to the oil pan so I can start to change oil myself.
Awesome video. Would be possible that the gasket for that oil filter drain plug can go bad over the time and leak since you're not replacing it every time you change the oil?
It's a good idea to replace the gasket/washer on the oil pan drain plug with a fresh one to ensure a good seal. The seal on the oil filter is an integral part of the filter cartridge so the old one is always disposed of.
Thanks for great informative video. Could you please tell where to get that digital screen torc wrench(make/model)? what type of batteries it uses? Thanks you
I have a Haynes manual for the Rav4 (I own a 2003 2.0 vvti AWD). The manual says 18 lbf ft or 24 Nm torque for the engine oil drain plug (this is for 2001 and later). I'd recommend getting a used Haynes manual Haynes 4750 ISBN 978 1 84425 750 8
Thanks. Do you do extended change intervals on your cars? I have a 2007 4Runner and I’m wondering if I can use this chevron oil past the recommended 5000 miles.
This is such a great channel!! So informative but at the same time relaxing!

Great job.
I have seen people put engine oil into the filter before fixing it on. That's obviously not necessary right 😒
Awesome video.

14mm if it's OEM or identical spec'd replacement.
What do you think about fumoto drain valves?

Change the oil drain plug gasket , EVERYTIME . And you could replace the drain plug with a magnetic one .

I like it and will use it in future in my Sequoia
Thanks. Do you do extended change intervals on your cars? I have a 2007 4Runner and I’m wondering if I can use this chevron oil past the recommended 5000 miles.
How many litre you use for this engine?
The 2.0l engine (1AZ-FE) needs ~4.5 litres of 5W-30 fully synthetic oil.
That rav4 is belt or timing chain
Normally it's timing chain
Belt lol
But non interference
2004 is Timing chain .
2000 and Earlier I believe is belt .
