They have been as they are even now touring Europe & Russia. I was glad to learn this as well as the first video I saw was they were simple street performers in Istanbul, and her voice alone is deserving of a global stage.

It is so beautiful and very touching. I was born in North Africa; my father is from Iraq or Mesopotamia, our family left Persia at least two centuries ago to settle in Iraq, me here in North Africa; I still remember a few Persian songs and a few words. My heart is attached to Mesopotamia and our Persia. I have never visited them and I would never visit them perhaps, exiles changed us somehow, but we still have the memories of our Middle East in our hearts.
