Remembering the special bond of Bishop Patterson, his wife Deborah ( daughter of Bishop Mason and church musician) and "Madam" Wiggle at 1010 Woodlawn St in the 1940's well before the Danny Thomas building and the present building. Elder Patterson in those days, was well read, made his way selling ice in the Summer and Coal in the the winter! And then there was later J O PATTERSON FUNERAL HOME! For a few years he traveled 90 miles almost every Sunday to preach at ROCK TEMPLE (now Unity since the merger with Allen Avenue).
Is it me, or does it seem like one of the last few sermons of presiding bishops lives are preached at Penetcostal Temple? If anyone else has noticed this, why is it?
