RIP Bishop. This Man of God over this church was awesome. I pray for his family and church. He has gone to a better place to be with the Lord Jesus Christ.

@jamminondakeys They had major influence in the southern region. Madame Wigley was the vice-president of the music department in The Church of God in Christ alongside Dr. Clark.

Did exactly did Madame Wigley pass? She had a very strong voice...bless God for her. It seems in this video in particular that she wasn't as physically strong; i don't know if she was going through a temporary illness but nevertheless she gave it her all!
I moved back to my home town Jacksonville FL back in 1994, however my parents and brother still live in Memphis, so I still get up there about 2 times a year.
Lord I love that organ. Thats just like J O back then he had, and wanted the best. yall betta Trust him! yall carry on he taught yall well! he's proud i'm more than sure!

venise tharpe from vincent tharpe and kenosis kinda reminds me of madame wigley. venise has sort of a raspy voice like mother wigley's. I LOVE IT!

Can you post more vintage videos of Bishop J.O. Patterson's "Voice of Pentecost" telecast? I remember it from the late 1980's. In Dallas, TX., it used to air late at night or early in the mornings on the Dallas affiliates of that time.

@nolagemini No offense, I saw the two guys towards the end of the video; I just thought a COGIC like Pentecostal Temple whose choir had a recording history and whose pastor was none other than the Presiding Bishop himself would have more than two men as choir members, thats all I meant.
@dallaskenn Guess it was on of those Sundays. Then again it just goes to show that we've never had men in the choirs like talkin' about it.
