Can we all appreciate Mikey at the end? He literally spent an agonizing amount of time pawing through the wood chips of those shredded doors, mutilating his own hands and putting it back together, just so his friend could see the child he bonded with again.

Honestly, I feel like the saddest part of Boo going home wasn’t Sulley’s reaction or the fact they were destroying the door. I feel like the saddest part to me was the fact that Boo didn’t understand what was going on. And we all know we choked up when she opened the closet.

Another comment said something similar about the reason Boo is scared of reptiles so Randal is her “ideal monster” because he’s a reptile and goes for sneak attacks while Sulley is just loud but soft and furry so Boo liked him. She didn’t see Sulley or most of the other monsters as scary. And when he did his roar, that’s why she cried and didn’t scream. Everyone loves Monsters Inc and gives Monster University a bad rap, but I love both equally. They’re very much on par with each other.
Also when Hardscrabble says how it may alert the parents if the kid doesn't scream, similar to how when Pete "Claws" Ward could scare the 6-year old, so they're force to shred the door, into order to avoid "exposing the monster world".
Holy shit! 😱 But I personally saw it as her trusting Sully and then suddenly he unintentionally he scared her, whereas Randall actually WAS scaring her and she stood up to him.
Interesting to note: The voice of Boo, played by Mary Gibbs, was only 2-3 years old at the time of recording for this movie. To get her to act on cue, the director had a boom mike hanging over her head while another crew member gave her toys to play with, even having to chase her around with the mike still above her head. She had no clue about the mike. And Boo’s real name just happens to be Mary. It’s briefly displayed in her drawing of Randall.

33:49 this actually ties into the prequel! We saw from her file that she's scared of snakes, and in the prequel, Hardscrabble tests Sulley with a boy that's scared of snakes. "A roar wouldn't make him scream, it would make him cry. Alerting his parents, exposing the monster world, ending life as we know it."
I knew this movie was good but I forgot HOW GOOD this was. The scene with Sulley saying goodbye to Boo and her sad “Kitty” always gets me teary even though I know he gets to see her again since Mike fixed her door. I love Mike and Celia as a couple together- they’re both one eyed lizard monsters. It def shows that even though Mike was the typically loser in school, he had more of the “American dream” life than Sulley- great happy job that he loves, good stable job position, a longtime best friend, cute girlfriend, his own place, etc. Sulley has always been popular and yet all he focuses on is work; with his status and family legacy he could easily be doing better than Mike and he’s not. He’s stuck, until he meets Boo and she opens him up 🥰
We still quote some lines from this. "You didn't turn in your paperwork last night. Don't let it happen again!" "Put that thing back where it came from, or so help me...!"
The little girl, Boo (real name Mary) doesn't have powers. Three year olds are just quick like that. She probably leaped on his back when he fell and just hung on. My four year old was just like that at her age. I knew you were gonna love her.
@@pokemon_trainer_isaiah yep heard stories of my lil bro being the one to just zooooom. Once had to lockdown an entire mall cuz my mom couldnt find him but he just ran off. Did the same at disney world too 😂
I was gonna say… “Nope. That’s toddlers. Actually as soon as they crawl you will be surprised at how fast they are and how quickly they can get into things.” You beat me to it! Lol!
Fun Fact! Billy Crystal was initially offered the role of Buzz Lightyear in Toy Story but had turned it down. I don't know if it was a scheduling conflict, or if he felt unsure of the film's prospects at the time. He regretted this decision though, so a few years later he leaped at the opportunity to lend his voice to Mike Wazowski :)
Actually, @lesliemonster92, Billy Crystal didn’t think the first computer animated movie would become as successful as it was, which is why he didn’t voice Buzz Lightyear.
This is probably one of my favorite PIXAR movies ever. Also, Boo is just a normal human child; her ability to get around quickly is because real life kids have a lot of energy. Since this is a work of fiction, they can exaggerate her speed a little so it can be funny when Mike and Sulley lose her.
And no don't be sorry Nick! Boo was literally the epitome of cuteness my entire life, and everyone who'd seen this movie always talked about how adorable she is! 😊
Randall is my favorite character in this series. In the prequel he was a nervous kid who went down the wrong path because he wanted to fit in and have friends, while in the first movie he seems to have given up on friendship and instead tries to revolutionize his field of work by any means necessary. (Being powered by a petty grudge against Sully.) I love his descent into ambition and cruelty and I wish the prequel could've focused more on his character and development
a think that it was amazing you watched this one after monster university because you can actually feel how deep the friendship of mike and sulli really is and how they care about each other As always is a pleasure watching your reactions while i drink my coffee, Nick💙
This brings back memories. My little brother loved this film to death when they were a wee child. They would watch this constantly & would make up stories about what each monster does after work 😂 During the scene we're the Monsters we're getting ready to go through their doors, I remember my brother would mimick every movement they did. Freaking adorable. 🤗 This had always been a special film in my heart & I'm so very happy you got to watch it. 💜💜💜
It’s actually cool to watch Monsters Inc. right after Monsters University because it’s a good way to see Mike and Sulley continue their lives working at this company after the events of the University. This is a fun and charming movie btw.🙂
Three facts about the film: 1) In order to get the voice lines for Boo, the crew had to follow the girl chosen around the studio because she like most kids couldn’t stand still. 2) This was nominated for the first ever Best Animated Feature Oscar alongside Jimmy Neutron: Boy Genius, but both films lost to Shrek. 3) The octopus chef at the restaurant only has 6 tentacles because he is a reference to Ray Harryhausen’s giant octopus monster from It Came from Beneath the Sea which only had 6 tentacles due to the puppet would have been too difficult to animate with 8 like a normal octopus.
THAT DAMN OPPENING SONG 01:20 Brings SO MANY Childhood memories 😭, I didnt know how to pronounce "Monsters inc" so I used to call this movie as "the scare" or something... I wanna my childhood back
This movie has easily the best world building of any movie ever. The monster city, the monsters relationship with humans, the monsters themselves, the doors, everything flows so perfectly.
You connected so many things from the prequel especially for seeing them "out of order", I'm impressed! This film has one of the best endings out there. I always remember this as being a really emotional film because the emotional moments just strike right at the heart.
Out of the movies Pixar has made, Monsters Inc has always been my most favourite because it has the perfect emotional scenes, comedy and one of the best plot twists with Waternoose being part of the scheme because we were so focused on Randall. I love the friendship between Mike and Sulley and Boo is such an adorable kid that the first time I saw this I cries when Sulley made Boo cry because it showed Sulley that what they were doing wasn't actually fun, it was a trauma for the kids that brought real fear. I also the music that goes with the scenes because it makes it really bring the emotion depending on the scene. This movie has and always will be a 10/10 for me.
10:09 You know, why does a 6-year-old have freaking metal music playing in her room? My guess is, the girl is actually 16, and the assistant monster misread the year of birth on her file as "1995" instead of "1985" (or '94 and '84 respectively, if she was turning 17 that year), hence why the scarer wasn't able to scare her as easily as he thought.
This movie was so sad, monsters scaring kids for screams to power the town, but the ending was good, Sulley found an alternative power source: laughter
Heh, it made me laugh that you kept wanting Boo to stay in the monster world. It’s sweet, but you kept forgetting that she has a home in the human world, which means she likely has parents or guardians looking for her. XD
Fun Fact: At 9:04, if you look at the scarer chart, some of the scarers are named after Pixar animators. For example, the monsters named Luckey and Ranft are named after Bud Luckey and Joe Ranft.
32:05 Actually, this whole machine thing was so scary for me when I watched this movie as a kid, 'cause of this suction thing... brrr. But just this part. Everthing else was fine. I especially enjoyed the music, but also the funny moments (for example when Sullivan is going to faint nearly every next second because of the trash machine xDD) and the emotional moments, especially the farewell. It's just a nice movie about just affection. Not love, not romantic stuff, no father-kid thing (okay we could say there is a bit about it), but just about... the affection for another... creature. A creature which is not a part of yours, so, an "alien", we can say (for the monsters), but... just affection for another being. And with this the movie shows very well that it doesn't matter, what kind of being you are or other people are. You can have just, pure, (innocent) affection for another being. And that's a good message I think. But the best here: the movie handle this without to much words about it. It just have good enough dialog parts with the most important informations, so it doesn't have any kind of just "twaddle" and the other parts it narrates us the story and all this with the action moments, and with the emotional moments. And maybe that is something the pixar movies are doing very well.
Based on the Pixar theory, when the monsters on the news are over exaggerating about Boo, they are actually talking about Jack Jack as he fits the description, from the laser eyes and all his other jack of all trades abilities. In Incredibles 2, Jack Jack is able to teleport between dimensions, which can actually fit since the Monster World is seperate from the Human World
Hey Nick, fun fact. The voice of Boo is actually the daughter of one of the animators. She was 3 years old when they did this. So her speech and reactions are real which makes it even more cute 😍
I LOVE Monsters, Inc! It’s probably my favorite childhood movie ever, and the ending still has me in tears, even at 19. The movie was also one of the first films to be nominated for the brand new category, Best Animated Feature at the Oscars, but it lost to Shrek.
I liked this movie a lot as a kid, but man do I respect and enjoy it so much more now! Very emotional, funny, and exciting! The whole role reversal of monsters being afraid of children, and the fact that monsters scare them as part of their job to acquire power is such a fun concept! Mike and Sully were a great leading duo, and Sully and Boo's growing relationship is so sweet and emotional! Even the villains were great, and it's nice to see when Disney/Pixar actually pulls off the Twist Villain trope effectively!
I think one thing I like about this movie is how the relationship of Sully and Mike, with it's ups and downs. During their arguements, it can be said both sides are right. Mike is trying to be a good friend to Sully by getting this kid situation dealt with, however while Sully is goofing off with Boo, Mike is getting his hands crushed, date rejected, warned by Randall, Kidnapped and nearly tested on by the Scream Machine for his efforts. Mike is trying his best with the cards dealt, but even when he does fulfill Sully's wants of getting Boo's door, his efforts get rejected, when Mike is planning to escape and leave Monster's Inc, Sully instead goes to Mr. Waternoose causing them to get banished. While Sully is doing his actions from his heart and trying to be a good monster, he rejects and ignores all opportunities Mike presents and wastes his efforts, and if Sully listened once, while it would have had the bad long term consequences (that they wouldn't have known about) it would have solved their dilemma and they could have gotten back to their lives with little to know trouble. Instead by ignoring Mike, they get banished and Sully had ruined his relationship with Mike, taking away everything he earned and cared about. While Mike would loosen up after a bit and their relationship would be fixed, it shows that you need to take care of your friends/relationships otherwise you could end up hurting them. Maybe someone can do a more thorough analysis on Sully and Mike's relationship throughout this movie, but I just wanted to talk about it, as I think it's something interesting during a watchthrough.
Dean Hardscrabble's criticism of Sully was correct: "...the girl was afraid of snakes, so a roar wouldn't make her scream, it would make her cry...." Boo was afraid of snakes(or the serpentine Randall)and seeing Sully roar made her cry. One of the things I really loved when I finally noticed it(probably only a year or two back, lol)was that we NEVER see a real child scared by the monsters...until Sully does the scare demonstration and we see Boo's terror. Up to that point, the scares were treated like essential and jokes(the slumber party one, for example), but then we actually see Sully as a big scary monster for her. The Waternoose twist was a way better twist villain than a lot of later Disney film attempts, IMO. Definitely didn't see it coming! That was the joke for the sequel, that the Abominable Snowman was banished for opening other peoples mail.
Ahh, this movie was definitely one of the greats. I can't remember why they thought children were deadly to touch, though. Two possible reasons I recall was this: either a sick kid gave a monster a disease that almost caused a serious pandemic; or it was a myth created by the CDA and higher authorities to make sure monsters did not physically harm the kids or tried taking them into the Monster world. Both could be true.
@@fightingfaerie Never seen the scene, but it wouldn't surprise me that was the case. She obviously had experience on such matters, and the steps she took in closing the matter indicates the CDA is as much about protecting kids as monsters.
If you make someone scared of something, they won't think about how wrong their treatment of the thing is or get close enough to realize there's another answer to how you're dealing with it. Had they known kids weren't dangerous, they would feel bad for scaring them and they might find out that laughter is more powerful, thus ruining Waternoose's business
I think this is my favourite Pixar movie! And you're right, the emotional score gets me every time with Sulley and Boo! Their relationship is one of the best ❤️ great reaction Nick!
Sulley's reaction of Boo going through the trash compactor is the same as Marc-Anothony's in the Looney Tunes cartoon Feed the Kitty, when he thinks that Pussyfoot the Kitten is being baked into a batch of cookies. His reaction on being reunited with Boo, first scolding her for running off and then hugs her happily is also done by Marc-Anthony in the same in the same cartoon, before he has to hide Pussyfoot in the flour box before his mistress sees her.
There's a theory going around that every Pixar movie connects somehow. So when that monster on tv was saying "a kid flew right over me and blasted a car with his laser vision" there's a theory he's actually talking about Jack Jack. If you remember, he had the power to go through dimensions so it's possible he ended up there in one of those instances.
Damn he was not even that surprised that Randall used to be the shy, nerdy, unpopular kid since he watched the prequel first. It’s like wathing a movie, then it’s sequel. I literally screamed “WHAT?!” when i saw Randall being so nice and with glasses in the prequel
The "scream extractor" traumatized me as a kid, and I'll admit that even now as an adult, I find the scenes that feature it hard to watch. On another note, I loved your reaction to the movie and genuinely found it very heartwarming. And your calling Boo adorable a lot wasn't annoying at all :)
Yeah, as a kid it was scary even though I didn't fully understand it. Now, I get that it'd be literally _sucking the air from a child's lungs_ and that's terrifying.
What's interesting is in the original cut of the movie, decontaminating Harryhausen's involved blowing the whole building to kingdom come, but well this movie came out in 2001 and we all know what else happened that year, so it was changed to that weird force field thing. What's interesting though is in the Monster's Inc graphic novel which came out about the same time that scene is left intact.
This film is so special to me. I frikkin' loved this as a kid. This and Toy Story. It brings back so many memories. I remember my parents taking me to see it, getting the video and watching it a ton and I had a doll of Boo that talked. I still have her now. When I was 10, I went to Disneyland wearing a Mike Wazowski Scare Team t-shirt my parents bought me. I'm 28 now. And there's a Sulley cushion on my couch. Now, I watch this with my nieces and nephew. Thanks so much for the upload. 💚😊👧👾👹🚪💚💙
The way this movie shows they learn to scare before doing jokes, i don’t know why but it kind of reminds me of the shrek movies where he was scarier to and people takes it a cool joke.
Since you watch both movies I highly recomend to watch Monsters at Work. Is not that long, only a few episodes and it takes place months before the final scene of the movie. Trust me you gonna like it, specially that John Goodman and Billy Crystal reprise their roles as Sulley and Mike for the show.
yess I really like Monsters at Work! it’s really cool to see a little more of Monsters Inc and how they work. It’s just cute and heartwarming and has such a great message as well.
While I do find this film incredibly touching, I’ve watched so much that I don’t get too emotional. But the very end, when Mike has gone out of his way to put a door together splinter to splinter? I get such a tight throat and watery eyed every time
Boo is without a doubt the most adorable kid. 😄 And I’m so glad they kept Boo and Sully’s relationship pure. They almost made a sequel that would have changed things up a bit but instead opted for a prequel. 😊
If you watch Monsters University again, you reaction to some scenes would hit different if you watch the first movies first like when Randall first shows up at the start while playing a bit of his theme from Monsters INC, the running joke with Mike's face not showing up in photos and Ross cameo
I was wondering why Randall seems to be blind as a bat (grabbing mike thinking he was boo), when it suddenly clicked with me. He stopped wearing his glasses!
Gosh, I forgot how much I loved this movie. I was only nine. I knew you were going to cry. I was afraid that watching the prequel first would've gotten a different reaction, but it didn't affect the experience at all 😁
8:53 That monster next to Sullivan looks effing hilarious - he looks like Tom from _Tom and Jerry_ after he sawed a tree in half with his groin that one time. (In the short "The Flying Cat", for those of you wondering.)
I like the approach you went with this movie, considering it's better this way: in this movie it's funny to see how these monsters are just as scared of the kids as they are of the monsters
*Boo disappears and reappears* Nick: does she have powers??? Is she a monster in disguise?? Nick has never done time babysitting toddlers They just do that 😅
Earlier last year, Disney+ released a spinoff series called Monsters at Work about a young scarer named Tylor who just joins Monsters Inc when they convert to laughter, so he has to now go from scary to funny all while Mike and Sulley are trying to keep the company afloat as the new CEO's. One of the things I love about it, besides Mike and Sulley still being a big part of the show, is they make call backs like having scenes from the movie to show what is happening to Tylor while it was happening, and even mentions Boo! The show has mixed reviews, but I really liked it.
Every time I watch this movie, without fail, I always cry at the end! I agree that Boo is super adorable and I really think she was a great character in this movie, but I will say, I wanted to punch Randal when he took Boo away with help from Waternoose.
Since you enjoy Monsters, Inc. you should check out Monsters at Work it’s a continuation show of Monsters, Inc. where it focuses on the Laugh Floor and some new characters and Season 2 comes out next year in 2023.
18:07 There’s actually a theory that the kid the monsters were talking about on the news all points to Jack-Jack from Incredibles 2 since he was able to lift things with his mind and have laser eyes. And also that when teleported to other dimensions, the Monster World was where he ended up
There’s also hints to Boo’s real name in which her real name is Mary if you look close at the bottom of the screen at the scene where she shows Sulley that Randall is her Monster
I personally really like the (unsupported) theory that Boo is actually Violet Parr from The Incredibles, and that's how she kept sneaking around without anyone seeing her
It is crazy how kids laughter is more powerful than their screams, and when Boo laughed the power went out. I loved that Sully was the CEO of the company in the end of the movie and making kids laugh than scream.
The scene where Mike, Sully and Boo were hiding in a toilet stall from Randall actually contains a plot hole. They may not have looked in the stall while it was open but Randall should have been able to see them in the mirror in front of it.
There are continuation errors between this film and monsters University. In here sully and Mike knew each other since they were children whereas in the sequel/prequel they met in university

I don't know if it was a scheduling conflict, or if he felt unsure of the film's prospects at the time. He regretted this decision though, so a few years later he leaped at the opportunity to lend his voice to Mike Wazowski :)
I'm glad he didnt take Buzz's role, his voice is great for Mike ;)
@@artsysabs same
Actually, @lesliemonster92, Billy Crystal didn’t think the first computer animated movie would become as successful as it was, which is why he didn’t voice Buzz Lightyear.
@@artsysabs I can't imagine a Buzz Lightyear with Mike's voice.
Tim Allen is definitely more fitting for Buzz
This is probably one of my favorite PIXAR movies ever. Also, Boo is just a normal human child; her ability to get around quickly is because real life kids have a lot of energy. Since this is a work of fiction, they can exaggerate her speed a little so it can be funny when Mike and Sulley lose her.
Us adults are so slow and lethargic compared to how we were in our youth.
(Being powered by a petty grudge against Sully.)
I love his descent into ambition and cruelty and I wish the prequel could've focused more on his character and development
Same
Steve Buscemi was definitely a fitting voice
Ooh, I remember this one! It's honestly one of Pixar's most creative movies, it's so good. I'm glad you reacted to this! Keep up the great work, Nick!
It definitely is very creative . Love it!
Sadly Pixar is declining
a think that it was amazing you watched this one after monster university because you can actually feel how deep the friendship of mike and sulli really is and how they care about each other
As always is a pleasure watching your reactions while i drink my coffee, Nick💙
This brings back memories.
My little brother loved this film to death when they were a wee child.
They would watch this constantly & would make up stories about what each monster does after work 😂
During the scene we're the Monsters we're getting ready to go through their doors, I remember my brother would mimick every movement they did.
Freaking adorable. 🤗
This had always been a special film in my heart & I'm so very happy you got to watch it. 💜💜💜
Do you remember the post credit scenes too? 🥺
It’s actually cool to watch Monsters Inc. right after Monsters University because it’s a good way to see Mike and Sulley continue their lives working at this company after the events of the University. This is a fun and charming movie btw.🙂
Even if some details in the first don't line up with the prequel.
@@fynnthefox9078 Which is very unfortunate since both movies are so good.
Three facts about the film:
1) In order to get the voice lines for Boo, the crew had to follow the girl chosen around the studio because she like most kids couldn’t stand still.
I love how you always say you didn’t expect to like it as much as you did for nearly all Pixar movies and it just goes too show many bangers Pixar has
Unless you're The Good Dinosaur. (I haven't seen it, but I've heard things.)
THAT DAMN OPPENING SONG 01:20 Brings SO MANY Childhood memories 😭, I didnt know how to pronounce "Monsters inc" so I used to call this movie as "the scare" or something...

Was this written by Boo?
This movie has easily the best world building of any movie ever. The monster city, the monsters relationship with humans, the monsters themselves, the doors, everything flows so perfectly.
Calling Boo adorable could never be annoying! She is the cutest kid from any movie ever :D
One of my favorite Pixar movies! So glad you watched it and I hope you enjoyed the movie as much as I do ☺️
You connected so many things from the prequel especially for seeing them "out of order", I'm impressed! This film has one of the best endings out there. I always remember this as being a really emotional film because the emotional moments just strike right at the heart.
My favorite line in this entire movie is "No I'm not attacking you" 😂😂😂
watching the prequal first is a good choice in my opinion, it makes the original movie more impactful.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
That would make sense because I always wondered the same thing on why a 6 year old would listen to heavy metal music.
XD
I love this movie so much. The part where Sully has to leave Boo always makes me cry so bad😭
Fun Fact: At 9:04, if you look at the scarer chart, some of the scarers are named after Pixar animators. For example, the monsters named Luckey and Ranft are named after Bud Luckey and Joe Ranft.
That opening Jazz number is just so nostalgic. Randy Newman has done so many Pixar songs, the studio wouldn't be the same without him
32:05 Actually, this whole machine thing was so scary for me when I watched this movie as a kid, 'cause of this suction thing...
In Incredibles 2, Jack Jack is able to teleport between dimensions, which can actually fit since the Monster World is seperate from the Human World
Huge stretch but could be cool
@@artsysabs Never heard about that theory, but that sounds pretty cool 😃
That's like 15 years apart. So no
While i like this theory, i feel its a better theory that boo is jack jacks child/relation as she does her own teleporting in the bathroom scene
I love this movie. I was 20 when it came out, I absolutely loved it and still do
ua-cam.com/video/QGd-hXv_s50/v-deo.html
Adults can still like kids movies ofc
Hey Nick, fun fact. The voice of Boo is actually the daughter of one of the animators. She was 3 years old when they did this. So her speech and reactions are real which makes it even more cute 😍
I wonder how they got her to make crying sounds because you wouldn’t want a little girl to be crying in the studio
@@TVTIME-be8ze her dad worked there. Maybe he recorded her all day and used the parts where she cried from like a tantrum or something. No telling.

What I learned from this video:
Nick will be a great dad
Aww thank you haha, I hoped to be!
@@nickflix8657 if u haven’t seen them can u react to The Hangover and it’s sequels
I thought Roz says at the end they (the CDA) made up that myth that kids were dangerous.
@@softsounds8453 Hm... I don't think Waternoose knew about the effect of laughs - he would have taken them up as a replacement to save his company.
Both are really good theories.
I'm so excited for this reaction! This movie meant the world to me as a child and still does as an adult. I know you'll enjoy it 😊
I think this is my favourite Pixar movie!
The disappointment at no hopping lamp was hilarious lmao
Literally uploaded this AS I sat down with my dinner. Perfect thing to watch while eating
This movie really knew how to tug on your heartstrings. I've seen this before like 100 times and I still tear up.
So excited for this reaction Nick!!! So happy you did Monsters University first, definitely think it helps you connect with Mike and Sully easier.
Damn he was not even that surprised that Randall used to be the shy, nerdy, unpopular kid since he watched the prequel first. It’s like wathing a movie, then it’s sequel. I literally screamed “WHAT?!” when i saw Randall being so nice and with glasses in the prequel
I always say that lesson in this movie is …… NOTHING is more powerful than a child’s laughter
I love how you wanted her to stay with them the whole time as if she doesn’t have a family to go back to lol
You need to do the Fake bloopers they did for this movie. Their quite funny
My favorite blooper is the “Put that thing back where it came from or so help me” actual company play.
My favorite blooper is the one where the door shreds and then everything goes crazy
Another one of my favorite Pixar films. It never gets old, including Finding Nemo.10/10 for both ⭐
This film is so special to me.

I heard there’s going to be a second season.
@@morganspider-manmarvelfan6110 yes, they announced recently. It will come out next year
yess I really like Monsters at Work! it’s really cool to see a little more of Monsters Inc and how they work. It’s just cute and heartwarming and has such a great message as well.
Is there a way to stop yourself from crying when Mike shows the shredded door that he put back together by hand? Best ending ever.
While I do find this film incredibly touching, I’ve watched so much that I don’t get too emotional. But the very end, when Mike has gone out of his way to put a door together splinter to splinter? I get such a tight throat and watery eyed every time
Yes, Waternoose was an easter egg in Monster’s University. Appreciated fan service for all the Monster’s Inc. fans.
“You’re stunned silence is VERY reassuring.”
To Boo, Sully looks like a big cat. That's why she calls him, "Kitty."
Boo is without a doubt the most adorable kid. 😄 And I’m so glad they kept Boo and Sully’s relationship pure. They almost made a sequel that would have changed things up a bit but instead opted for a prequel. 😊
To clarify, Monsters Inc. takes place ten years after Monsters University
Yep
@@joaocarocinho3074 Agreed.
Sulley would make a good father!
Does Boo have powers?
Yes,
The power of comedic timing
*Boo disappears and reappears*
Nick: does she have powers??? Is she a monster in disguise??
Nick has never done time babysitting toddlers
They just do that 😅
This movie and Ratatouille are two of Pixar's most conceptually "out there", and I love it!
Such a emotional reaction, I felt all the emotion right along with you. Loved the video, have a great day :)
44:13 Have you noticed that it's the same place where Flik went to find the mercenaries in A Bug's Life ?
I personally really like the (unsupported) theory that Boo is actually Violet Parr from The Incredibles, and that's how she kept sneaking around without anyone seeing her
Monsters Inc is such a classic!
Fun fact Boo's real name is Mary. You can see her name on the drawing before the one of Randell but you have to be quick to see it
I enjoyed watching this, I felt like I was sitting there watching this with you, nothing but smiles the whole time on my face .
One of my favorite childhood favorites for Pixar films. The score is totally such a big part and I think this is probably one of my favorites.
It is crazy how kids laughter is more powerful than their screams, and when Boo laughed the power went out. I loved that Sully was the CEO of the company in the end of the movie and making kids laugh than scream.
Keep an eye out for easter eggs in these movies. All of Pixar movies are connected.
The scene where Mike, Sully and Boo were hiding in a toilet stall from Randall actually contains a plot hole. They may not have looked in the stall while it was open but Randall should have been able to see them in the mirror in front of it.
I love Pixar's Monsters Inc (2001).
There are continuation errors between this film and monsters University. In here sully and Mike knew each other since they were children whereas in the sequel/prequel they met in university
MU is just a retcon movie. And since it's become canon since Monster at Work. Great show btw.
I love watching this movie when I was a kid. It brings me back some good memories
