It would be good to know how secure the receiver is against the Action 3, given its on a bike moving at speed, its only held in by the delicate USB socket, how secure was it? Would you recommend a band for additional security?
@@jimbossimrigs7961 I’ve ridden with it up to about 160km/h on the highway and hundreds of km off-road. It stayed secure, but you should regularly check if it’s inserted properly. The bigger issue is rain.
Am I correct in understanding that this transmitter cannot be used while the DJI Action 3 protective case is installed? If the protective case is installed, the transmitter's Type-C plug does not reach the port?
I have recently bought the X5M for use with my motorbike. The wind noise is really bad, even after post edit the audio sounds awful wen going more than 40-50kph. If I can not sort it out I will stick with my cheaper movo duo wireless microphone.
Hi! Have you tried using the furry windscreen? But generally I find what makes the most difference is where I place the mic inside my helmet, there's a small sweet spot where the wind noise is acceptable even without the windscreen. But overall this capsule really isn't suited to dealing with loud voices and wind compared to the more expensive mics.

Thanks for doing the video! I've been looking for this mic here in the PH to be used with my new action 4 but can't seem to find a local online seller yet. Did you order via amazon or fulaim website and how long did it take to arrive here? Btw, I noticed (*in countless videos I watched) that it's exactly the same as the Mailada X5 wireless mic.
Sure! Direct from the Fulaim site. Super cheap shipping too! Took a couple of weeks or shorter if I remember correctly. If you end up buying one, could you send me a test clip on my Instagram? Curious to hear how it goes with the Action 4. Are you using it for general purposes or for motovlogging?
If you're vlogging with it at close range like arm's length there's no need, to be honest! But if you're positioning the camera further from you or you're creating content with lots of info you may want to consider a mic.
This mic is not as good as the Rode wireless ME - I have way better vocal sound quality withthe Rode ME. With the Rode ME, it will never clip, at the same price. I bought it last konth for 130$
@ngosituan1984 where do you have the mic? I have it in my helmet and the wind noise just doesn't do it. Ima have to test it lapel position while riding lol
@@Ride_XPperhaps you need to play around with the gain settings of the mic more to find a sweet spot. I hear that even in slow speed, quiet environment, the vocal is still distorted.
Already tried it with gain settings all the way down unfortunately, both the mic and the Action 3, it seems to have something to do with the sensitivity/headroom of the mic, but I'm not an audio expert so not sure what the explanation is.
So incredible! I can even charge it while using the mic.
Btw what motorbike do you have?
Yes exactly!
I'm riding a Royal Enfield Interceptor 650.

I literally just opened Action 4 today, do I need to buy another mike for times i just want to use the camera without my xz5?

u have to sync audio separately or its directly captured in video files
both, if you turn on recording in the mic!
thanks. incredible . 🤙
Glad to help!
great content
is it works for dji osmo action 4?
It will probably work better with the Action 4, but I haven’t tested it yet.
@@Ride_XP okay thanks dude 🙏
It clips while beeing on -12dB. Not a good mic for motovlogging.
Does this mic not have 5 dec setting on top of the dji settings is there no sweat spot? I'm not trying to go over 100mph for my usage.

@@anythinggarage I put the TX inside the helmet, turn on Auto Gain feature and it works really well, even with no visor
@@ngosituan1984 do you mean the Noise reduction button? Never tried that.
Sounds over modulated to me. Muffled as well😢
It’s not at its best inside the helmet, honestly. It sounded good in normal lapel use though!
To my ears, the vocal sound quality of your set-up is distorted.
Yep it does, doesn't it? I think it's better in a normal (lapel) position than inside a helmet.
