The whole 65mm vs 75mm thing seems to boil down to 65mm inside and 75mm outside. And if you’re already outside, then maybe 3” or bigger. Your yard though is perfect for that 75mm size.
Pretty cool, thanks for this amazing review. What would happen if I add additional 39 gram camera on it? will it still be flyable? I know it's not the purpose of this tiny quadcopter, but I'm thinking about my next cinematic setup, by adding the insta360 Go 3S or the Runcam Thumb 2. Also adding a GPS on it, would probably be possible right?
well, its going to fly for a very short time and it would likely be a moderate cruise. It would also likely be much more likely to break easily with the more than double the quad weight.
@@NickBurnsFPV I see, makes sense, guess I'll have to think about it. I switched bands and left it at 25 mw and didnt get that kind of penetration. I think the guy that tested it said it was more like 200 mw on raceband ? but normal output on the higher ones if I'm not mistaken.
Is the connector the same as the one for Newbees 65? Are the pads accessible for soldering the camera in? I like the way the beta fpv did the board. The impact zone from a head on crash was removed and stacked.
Pulled the trigger on the crossfire version. Flys very very good. Mine however gets ridiculously hot! It cannot sit for anytime at all before core temp warning pops up. It gets so hot that the blob of hotglue i put on to hold the vtx antenna connection tightly just melted 1st flight.

I’m with both of you. Beta takes the crown on failures over the last years. Their 1s was burning itself out. Before that the leader was clearly HM, with crappy escs and failing Vreg :)
I fly the same, sometimes I wish i could freestyle like Heads over at Infinity loops or think, dam better practise some ladders to fly like TDog. Then I end up just flying around doing what I want having a blast 😅
Unfortunately no. DJI isn't compatible with analog. These whoops are generally analog. The old DJI V1 and V2 goggles we can add an analog module and plug that into the dji goggles to make it compatible.
@NickBurnsFPV LOL not sure how that happened, I was commenting on another video and it looks like it posted here. Love the video though thanks for sharing. :-)
the size of battery doesn't matter its the connection. All betafpv batteries come with the battery connection they designed the BT2.0, which the vifly 6 port charger does have bt2.0 connections. Short answer: Yes
Not really, they are pretty standard in whoops and micros. I suspect when you say broken, you referencing the ufl connection on the board rather than replacing a broken antenna, replacing the antenna should be direct swap.
@@NickBurnsFPV Thx for the reply! So it's been a few years since I have flown whoops because I couldn't stop breaking them. Are you saying that we don't have to solder dipole to AIO anymore?
@@Roundawg yes, I don't recall when, but sometime back the micro ufl connection took over for the vtx antenna mount. from time to time we do find where the rx receiver is a plain/naked wire soldered to the signal pad on the AIO
Motors are the weak point of betafpv, the bell falls apart very quickly and they continue to install them. Personally, I need to install smaller propellers and higher KV, since the impact from the protection falls on the shaft. And they do not want to do anything about it.
That's a nice piece of kit. I'm gonna hold off a bit for a HDZero eco version or something.. I can't outright justify another analog whoop when I have a few already, hehe.
@@andrewy3711 yep, I just don't know much more than what I have in hand. Flies really nicely and for an hdzero whoop we can't do any better for weight than a true hdzero AIO
Im COMPLETELY new to drones and would love to start off with the air 75. Is there anyone who would be kind enough to explain exactly everything i need to buy or what videos to watch that will help get me flying?
The basics: You will need goggles with the same video system as the quad, we now have 4 different non compatible videos systems, DJI, Walksnail, HDZero and analog. Also need a radio, charger and likely a computer. Most get started with a ready to fly kit, which includes everything one would need to get started in FPV.
will work? As in mount into another 75mm frame? yes 65mm or 75mm frames mount most AIOs. the only exception being the "pro" frames that maintain 65mm or 75mm but use 35mm or 45mm props.
@@RenzFPV Sorry, what do you mean? in stock at FPV shops? The mobula7, happymodel v4, meteor75, fractal75, newbeedrone cockroach 75 frames will all work.

@@wva5089 Thanks for the details. My understanding is this is most often an issue with the camera. Even the same camera will have the rolling black lines (sync) on one quad but not on a different quad with the same camera. It has something with the manufacturing and the "sync pulse" of the camera.
@@NickBurnsFPV Hi Nick thx for responding, yeah came with crossfire rx. My trouble is a solid red light on receiver whenever going through binding process. IDK can you help/what ya think?
@@melvinstewart3718 Unfortunately its been years since I have used crossfire, my help maybe lacking. I love my Air75, except for one issue with the ELRS range. I'm lucky if I get 30 feet away indoors before the signal and link quality drops right off. I usually fly with 25mW output, but even bumping it up to 500mW doesnt seem to make more than a few feet of difference. I reduced the packet rate from 500 to 150Hz whuch helped slightly, but its still pretty bad. My Mob6 2024 in comparison can fly much further indoors on 25mW without getting a failsafe. Looking at Air75 flight videos on YT, it seems like some have a great signal and others are comparable to mine both indoors and outside. I'm guessing there's maybe some quality issues affecting some of these flat antenna receivers.

Lighter quads tend to be a tiny bit quieter, and those that run HQ props also tend to be slightly less noisy.
Can’t wait for mine, it’s been almost a month waiting.
I would hope it arrives soon
Is that an uncovered pool you're nearly crashing into a bunch of times with those dives!?!
nah its covered
@@NickBurnsFPV Oh good, it was freaking me out every time it fell near it.
Tempted, but Beta FPV boards have failed me at a rate much higher than any other board. I look forward to seeing how they hold up after more flying.
Happymodel failed more on me
I’m with both of you. Beta takes the crown on failures over the last years. Their 1s was burning itself out. Before that the leader was clearly HM, with crappy escs and failing Vreg :)
❤
I fly the same, sometimes I wish i could freestyle like Heads over at Infinity loops or think, dam better practise some ladders to fly like TDog. Then I end up just flying around doing what I want having a blast 😅
yea, flight is for fun first, we can certainly challenge ourselves from time to time for a bit of a change.
Can you include stick osd in your flight footage? 😅
Really good rewiev also for a rooky like me...question : can i fly air65/75 with dji google? A lot of sruff ti learn in this drone world
Unfortunately no. DJI isn't compatible with analog. These whoops are generally analog. The old DJI V1 and V2 goggles we can add an analog module and plug that into the dji goggles to make it compatible.
Do you think they will make a version with their 5 in 1? That's the one I'd buy in a second.
I don't have any information that they will or won't. sorry
Putting an Open Racer together with the DJI O3 Air Unit so I can start flying with a local MultiGP chapter.
Racing DJI O3 with a whoop?
@NickBurnsFPV LOL not sure how that happened, I was commenting on another video and it looks like it posted here. Love the video though thanks for sharing. :-)
Yo i was wondering if you can use the 6 Ports 1S Battery Charger from betafpv to charge the LAVA 1S 450mAh 75C Battery? Please help!!!
the size of battery doesn't matter its the connection. All betafpv batteries come with the battery connection they designed the BT2.0, which the vifly 6 port charger does have bt2.0 connections. Short answer: Yes
@@NickBurnsFPV thank you very much. U have helped me so much!
Do they make any of these whoops without these crappy antennas? I have never successfully replaced a broken one.
@@NickBurnsFPV good to know! Thank you so much for the info. Thanks for all the informative and cool vids. I
Motors are the weak point of betafpv, the bell falls apart very quickly and they continue to install them. Personally, I need to install smaller propellers and higher KV, since the impact from the protection falls on the shaft. And they do not want to do anything about it.
Amazing
Who makes the glowing cube gate?
Webleedfpv.com is where mine came from.
El air 75 viene en camino, buena revisión trabajaré en la melodía,me gustó el 65 pero prefiero el 75 es mas versátil
Great Review! No Stickers? Cheers, till the next one!
Thank you
That's a nice piece of kit. I'm gonna hold off a bit for a HDZero eco version or something.. I can't outright justify another analog whoop when I have a few already, hehe.
HDzero will have a 65mm whoop coming soon, the AIO has HDzero built into the AIO. Not sure when its launching, I have had one for over a month.
@@NickBurnsFPV That is so exciting to hear. I can't wait~
Whoa for real? I did not hear that they were going to build an AIO with built-in hd0. Be the first of its kind?@@NickBurnsFPV
@@Latchfpv I wish I new a launch date or price but at this point I don't believe those have been determined.
@@andrewy3711 yep, I just don't know much more than what I have in hand. Flies really nicely and for an hdzero whoop we can't do any better for weight than a true hdzero AIO
I see the PCB reflection also from the Meteor65 (same camera if I'm not wrong)
yea, I think all the c03 and maybe the c02 are impacted...well those without the tape on them now.
Hey do you know if the 450mah battery's fit in the mob6.2024 ?
No it doesn't. 450mah batteries are much bigger and I don't believe any 65mm frames will hold a 450mah or bigger. the biggest they will hold is a 380.
Thx. Are the 550 lava fit to in the air75? Looks like 450 is hhe biggest that fit right?
@@Levytan1 I don't have lava 550, but other 550 do fit.
Most get started with a ready to fly kit, which includes everything one would need to get started in FPV.
what the weight difference for the elrs and tbs version ?
sorry I wouldn't know. I only have the elrs vs. The TBS version will surely be heavier as TBS 900mhz antenna/wire
Let's go Mets
Any idea if the metor75 frame will work?
will work? As in mount into another 75mm frame? yes 65mm or 75mm frames mount most AIOs. the only exception being the "pro" frames that maintain 65mm or 75mm but use 35mm or 45mm props.
@@NickBurnsFPV Yeah, cant seem to find any frame replacements for the air75
@@RenzFPV Sorry, what do you mean? in stock at FPV shops? The mobula7, happymodel v4, meteor75, fractal75, newbeedrone cockroach 75 frames will all work.
Tldw, is it better than Mobula 7 1S?
In my opinion it is
Damn dude, how do you fly so fast inside!?!
It wasn't always that way. Progression overtime.
My air75 vtx has lots of sync issues. :-/ probably going to be putting a hdzero on it. Doubling the cost of the craft.
sync with a rapidfire module? Module firmware updated? Syncing issue are usually an issue with the camera.
@@NickBurnsFPV akkvrx module. I haven't looked into firmware updates for it. Latest HD zero goggle firmware. Same setup working with stock mob6 2024 analog, and betafpv M03 vtx.. just doesn't like the air75 about 30% of the time. Tx power doesn't seem to matter.. tx antenna doesn't seem to matter.
I don't have another analog vrx to try and validate it's solely the air75 and not something else. Thinking of getting the HD zero monitor..but hard to justify.
Anyways thanks for your vids. Can't wait for the aio embargo to lift.
@@wva5089 Thanks for the details. My understanding is this is most often an issue with the camera. Even the same camera will have the rolling black lines (sync) on one quad but not on a different quad with the same camera. It has something with the manufacturing and the "sync pulse" of the camera.
I just can’t connect with my TBS crossfire. Waited 3weeks for it and can’t get it Up 😅. Help!!
Did it come with a crossfire reciever?
@@NickBurnsFPV Hi Nick thx for responding, yeah came with crossfire rx. My trouble is a solid red light on receiver whenever going through binding process. IDK can you help/what ya think?
@@melvinstewart3718 Unfortunately its been years since I have used crossfire, my help maybe lacking. Googling around it might be to large a difference in firmware or the rx is stuck in bootloader mode.
Hold down the bind button while powering up the receiver.
Release the button after the LED starts flashing quickly.
Press and hold the button again.
When the LED starts flashing in a double pattern, release the button.
Wait for the update to finish. The receiver will flash slowly when it's done, and then be ready to bind.
Bardwell also has a video on this issue that might help ua-cam.com/video/NyFFN3WXSok/v-deo.html
Thats too fast for my eyes
I need it ,
I love my Air75, except for one issue with the ELRS range.
There could be an issue with the Rx, or betafpv is using the old v1 of this Rx. The v1 was known to not work very well.
@@NickBurnsFPVthanks Nick! I'll reach out to BeraFPV and see what they say.
What is ur Beta Flight Rate ? 😅
my rates video is linked in the video description
I hope that one day Happymodel will come up with new 75mm tinywhoop
surely they will. Betafpv and happymodel keep pushing each other forward. Now Happymodel needs to respond :)
I think they are still working out the 65mm, so many issues with the 2024 mob6
Go Mets
lol. first to recognize the shirt!! But I grew up a Braves fan. Only team we could get for the longest time.
