I went from the old Preston Protype 360 to the Airity Pro and what a difference it has made to my commercial fishing brilliant for slapping and shallow fishing both for carp and F1s and using red hydro in my power kits for the margin munters is a joy to use landing many big carp into double figures, defo was well worth the investment , only downside is the plastic threads on the kupping kits , ive already had one snap on me shame really as i would of thought brass would of been better and certainly longer lasting, but maybe they designed it that way to make the kupping kits that little bit lighter, who knows , but overall a brilliant pole 👏👏👍, Brilliant demo video to explain at all main lengths 👏👏👍
What would be good is if someone from daiwa factory explained why its?different ie I think its different carbons from original. It does look stiffer and better balanced. It looks good on kristians review video. I had old g90 and sound upto 14.5 but went alot at 16m , we're as thus seems alot better at 16m. One of them. If you fish 2-3 times a wk and do big opens and qualifiers then yeah airity or air z but if just average club angler like me who sometimes once a fortnight then g90 pro all day long
I currently own a superium x70 an im looking at switching to the g90 pro. Would you say im making a good decision? Is the g90 pro better?? Advice be much appreciated TIA
it certainly isnt much if any at all better than the superirum x75 which i have heard is better than the x70 BUT I have heard that the x90 is better than the x95 strangely enough. the x75 is reatiling at 1999 about 200 quid cheaper than the g 90 pro.
i still have my Spectron competition, what a pole it still is! its got the British flag on it and my mate has a g90 and i know his number 5 doesn't fit my pole any suggestions where i could get a number 5 section for the Spectron?
Hi mate sorry to hijack the thread. I’m looking at getting a silvers only pole and lots of people have recommended the spectron to me secondhand. Is it that good a pole?
@@jamesmosley1549 I've had a Daiwa Spectron since 2006 (18 years of faultless use). It'll depend on the price to be paid and the condition of the pole and spare top kits. If the pole is in good condition, you'll be very satisfied.
@@jamesmosley1549 Prior to Daiwa releasing the Tournament Pro pole, there were several commercial regulars netting double figure carp on the Spectron, although I don't subject the pole to catching carp, I have confidence in subdueing 'bonus' fish, with the appropriate elastic in place.
Adoo pal..had a Xitan Z16 and upgraded to a Garbo UK1 Evo about 2 years ago. I put it up against the Z16 and my mates Evo which he has hammered for 2 years previous and there was a good 6 inches difference between the tips with a power kit on at 16m and when I put my brand fire new Evo up against my mates, there was no difference what so ever. I fished with a lot of poles and the UK1 Evo is the bollocks. Was thinking about getting the Evo HP, but I couldn't get my head round how it was better than Evo!
The g90 and the g90 pro is not different The only difference is top kit and graphics It was £1300 not that long ago No way in the world is a g90 worth over £2000
Any thoughts on the Matrix poles? MTX5 to be specific. I’ve had the MTX3 for 2 years and it’s been solid but lots have said they’ve had broken sections regularly. MTX5 is around £2,900 now which seems a great price for a flagship pole.
Cant see a g90 pro being better than a superirum x75 which is retailing on ebay at 1999. 200 quid cheaper than the g 90 pro and you can easily use the x75 at 14.5 all day.
I had the g20 it was absolutely dog shite and yet people were proclaiming it to be amazing 😂 I also had the whisker xls which to its credit wasn’t too bad and fishable at 14.5m I honestly think if and when you leave daiwa you’d never have another

Can you do this comparison using the Tournament S & Airity?
Put the G90 up against the G90 pro and let’s see what the real difference is and not all the salespersons BS
There is absolutely no difference other than top kits
Yes there is. I’ve had both on rollers and the g90 pro is better balanced and stiffer. And I own the plain old g90

Be interesting to see a side by side comparison between the G90 and G90 Pro to see exactly how much difference there really is

How much is the 16m tournament pro these days, with how many tops plus cupping kit
Thanks
How many graffic sections on a daiwa pole looked like there was only 2 at 16m?
G90pro or Wickersley tournament pro? Both about the same money??
Yeh thats something I'd be interested in knowing, for sure

Contact Martin Greene at Daiwa. The authority on Daiwa poles. I also have a spectron(since 2006), it was made on different mandrel to tournament etc.

How does the new Garbo HP compare to the Airity pro ?
It’s probably the only pole I’d p/x my sphere pt for

How long does it say it is on the 14 metre section?
The first silver section is 12m the second is 13.6m and the third is 15.6 with the 9/11 phex pushed in you get an extra 77.2cm hope this helps
So technically not a 16 metre pole. An extension is something that makes the original item larger than it should be. ie an extension on a house.
The g90 and the g90 pro is not different

Whats the lightest at 16m
tourny s - air z - g90 - airity pro in order at 16 metres

its a beast...! MTX5 v G90 PRO - MTX 5 is on a different planet.
@ I actually bought the MTX5 recently so I’m very looking forward to using it.
Tournament s ?????????

Why don’t you lads ever comparisons on different manufacturers poles ? Always Daiwa.
Because like Angling Direct they get a bigger mark up on Daiwa than any other manufacturer so push their poles more.
Prefer the Maver MV-RXX
Why dont you compare the tournament to the connoisseur more of a match than the Airity
You're missing the point of the comparison
Nowhere near 14.5 mtrs, not even 14 mtrs
Agree 14.5m section in your hand without Dolly butt is around 13.6m according to Daiwa website!
I had the g20 it was absolutely dog shite and yet people were proclaiming it to be amazing 😂 I also had the whisker xls which to its credit wasn’t too bad and fishable at 14.5m I honestly think if and when you leave daiwa you’d never have another
Looked like 13m
