We Are House Atreides. There Is No Call We Do Not Answer. There Is No Faith That We Betray. The Emperor Asks Us To Bring Peace To Arrakis. House Atreides Accepts! ATREIDES! ATREIDES! ATREIDES!
apart from the obvious casting and contract issues, the in-universe theory is that Mentats tend to die really often as the leader either doesn't approve of them (Harkonnen) killed by enemies of their house (Atreides) or just get fired and replaced with a more viable model (Ordos, Ix, other Houses). They are also all addicted to sappho juice (which gives them their awesome brain power) and tend to overdose or over-rely on it.
Harkonnen Mentats usually have a short lifespan...the first miscalculation they make will be usually their undoing. _"You have failed me the LAST time, commander..."_
Honour (British English) or honor (American English) is the idea of a bond between an individual and a society as a quality of a person that is both of social teaching and of personal ethos, that manifests itself as a code of conduct, and has various elements such as valour, chivalry, honesty, and compassion. It is an abstract concept entailing a perceived quality of worthiness and respectability that affects both the social standing and the self-evaluation of an individual or institution such as a family, school, regiment or nation. Accordingly, individuals (or institutions) are assigned worth and stature based on the harmony of their actions with a specific code of honour, and the moral code of the society at large. Samuel Johnson, in his A Dictionary of the English Language (1755), defined honour as having several senses, the first of which was "nobility of soul, magnanimity, and a scorn of meanness". This sort of honour derives from the perceived virtuous conduct and personal integrity of the person endowed with it. On the other hand, Johnson also defined honour in relationship to "reputation" and "fame"; to "privileges of rank or birth", and as "respect" of the kind which "places an individual socially and determines his right to precedence". This sort of honour is often not so much a function of moral or ethical excellence, as it is a consequence of power. Finally, with respect to sexuality, honour has traditionally been associated with (or identical to) "chastity" or "virginity", or in the case of married men and women, "fidelity". Some have argued that honour should be seen more as a rhetoric, or set of possible actions, than as a code.
House Atreides is the Dune counterpart of these Commands and Conquer factions: Allies (Red Alert), GDI (Tiberium continuity), and the USA (Generals) Let's examine, what do House Atreides, the GDI, the Allies, and the USA have in common? Their color is blue, they all have eagle as their symbol, they are the good guys of their respective universes. In war they have an emphasis on air power, technological sophistication, and superior training of their soldiers.
Such great cutscenes! Compare them with the crap that passes for cutscenes now in the new C&C games. If EA was running this, you'd have Kari throwing herself at you during the entire last third of the game.
Baron Harkonnen is wealthier than Duke Leto Atreides. His fief of Giedi Prime is less profitable than Caladan, but he has the concession to harvest melange spice on Arrakis. House Atreides is of closer relation to House Corrino than House Harkonnen. At the Battle of Corrin, an Atreides supported the leader who would become head of House Corrino and aided in his victory. For his loyalty, the head of what would become House Atreides would receive a title and a seat at the new Padishah-Emperor's right hand. Abulurd Harkonnen was accused of cowardice and exiled. This was the beginning of the feud between the two Houses.
2:33 "We see more Trikes than Harvesters" Lol whether you attack or defend you always have more troops than harvesters. Atreides False Flag attack much ?

ATREIDES! ATREIDES! ATREIDES!
I am drinking water and eating mini snickers while watching this
Emperor, Gimli comes for you! Baruk Khazâd! Khazâd ai-mênu!
with his axes
Impressive cast, I'll give them that.
The Fremen commando babe is quite the femme fatale...
Fremme fatale
"We see more trikes than harvesters" Well that's very concerning, especially since the Ordos don't use Trikes but Raiders.
"Trike" might be a classification of vehicles.
Perhaps they're Atreides trikes under the effect of the Deviator.
Interestingly, Edric O also says "trikes" during his campaign, even though, as y'said, House Ordos uses the moar versatile Raiders.
They should have done a running gag about 'Freman Negotiations'. Read, negotiations at knife-point.
In the book, the fremen actually treated Duncan Idaho fairly, when he was sent there as an Atreides ambassador.
Apparently there's quite a supply of makeup for Fremen women in the deep desert.
*It's made from the blood of their enemies.* >:)

I was confused until I realized this was from a game cuts scene. This makes the miniseries special effects look good.
*Both look good, really. I love the technology used in old game cut scenes like these. They are cool and charming.* :)
...AND MY AXE!
Oh, and I had a crush for the female Freemen fighter.Fuckin teenage years...
And this was way before he was known as Gimli
You must be a great Atreides fan.
FOR THE DYOOK
Atreides out!
don't be long, lol, i actually laughed out loud at that line.
Man's got a knife up against his neck and he's still ballsy enough to try and take a sip like the gentleman he is.
You had a crush on Nancy Valen? How could you not? She's beautiful.
SouthTexasThrowdown That’s Nancy Valen? No wonder she looked familiar.
This is sort of the type of timeline Arrakis could have seen if Doctor Yueh has not been able to betray the Atreides.
These cutscenes don't hit like the harkonen or ordos. Yet they still slap.
Long life house Atreides! 💙
Thufir Hawatt is the master of assassins, no way a Fremen would have caught him of-guard in his own place :p
The acting in this game is so hammy it's endearing. But that delivery of 'as well it should' around 6:44 is gold!
Skirge
LOLOLO! Well said man!
It is not Thufir Hawat. In this game the Atreides' mentat name is Noree Moneo.
KostjaMRH though he is kinda like Thufir Hawat.

So manny Bible related expressions. What God used to forbid pagan rotuals in the Old testament.
DEUS VULT
The fremen religion is based heavily on the past Christian-religion with some Islamic stuff, I think the novel mentions this at the appendix.
