- Bullmastiff review! Update on my Bullmastiff Tua. I do these videos and talk about his physical growth, behavior changes, obedience levels, dog training, and any other things I notice throughout the month.
This will give anyone interested in the bullmastiff breed a great log of information to look back on and hopefully answer any questions they may have about the bullmastiff breed at very specific ages.

Video I made about Furry Freshness Shampoo!
• The struggle is real! ...
This channel was created to track the life of our Bullmastiff Tua.
Videos will be posted to show not only his physical growth, but his behavioral changes, obedience level changes, and our overall experience with the Bullmastiff breed.
This will hopefully help anyone interested in the Bullmastiff breed by showing what to expect at very specific times all throughout a Bullmastiff's life!
Although this will be more specifically about the Bullmastiff breed, the videos should give a very general idea about what to expect at certain ages of many different dog breeds.
Thank you!

I Don't have one But I have an English Mastiff and I just have Hand Towels on all the arms of my furniture . For Drool .
Man man man why stpr posting beautiful amazing content 😢
even though HONEY is an American B/M she is still of the mastiff breed..and as you can see in the pic she is curious and loves plastic lids, and all her large thick rope toys, but can you tell me why she likes eating my artex wallsin patches?
Love your dog Tua. He has great disposition.
Tua is so handsome!
hey Tua.., i remember when you was a puppy.. 🐕 ❤
I really enjoyed your video, thank you!
Beautiful Bullmastiff
I HAVE HEARD BULLMASTIFF OR ENGLISH MASTIFFF ARE NOT FOR FIRST TIME OWNERS WHAT WOULD YOU THINK ABOUT THIS? OR PROBABLY CAN YOU MAKE A VIDEO ABOUT THIS WHAT WILL YOU SUGGEST? I ALWAYS LIKED BIG DOGS😫.
I think depending on the person they would be just fine for first time owners. You definitely need to establish basic obedience early on because of their eventual size. If you have never trained a dog before the size of the bullmastiff might be difficult when it comes to pulling on a leash, etc.
err this pic is my old dog she had cancer i had to put her to sleep last year.
Thanks for the vid!
Muy buen video
Gorgeous ❤❤❤
Is there ever a time of year or weather condition where you feel he needs shoes? We’ve got an upcoming trip from FL to CO and just want to be prepared for the cold
I have never used shoes for him. They would come in handy if it was very hot and you were walking on concrete. But when it's that hot I tend to keep him inside. Also when it's very cold, below zero, his paws definitely start freezing after a while and he begins to lift them up and walk funny as they go numb. But again I usually keep him inside on days like that besides bathroom breaks. If you are going to be walking on rough terrain they may come in handy as well! It wouldn't be a bad idea to get them used to them just in case. It can take dogs a long time to get used to them and some dogs seem to never tolerate them
You have a beautiful Bullmastiff 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽 and as i can see Im glad you didnt get him neutered. He's a good looking Beast💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
If you don't mind me asking, where did you get Tua from?
Not at all. We got him from majestic bullmastiffs out of the Omaha NE area. Although I'm not sure that they're breeding anymore
When did he reach his final size/weight? At what age?
We're still gaining weight! Height seemed to level out around 1.5-2years old
He will probably die from heat stroke one day from you making him so heavy.
@@Kyle-ut4jg definitely not making him this heavy. He's very tall and he's still lean. He eats great food and is not allowed to over indulge. Hasnt had a dog treat in a year. The dude is just a big dog🤷♂️
@@bullmastiffnd9784 lol you are very delusional, the more you feed a dog the heavier it gets, it isn't rocket science. Keep living in denial and the day your dog dies maybe you will finally understand that if only you didn't make him so heavy he would have lived longer.
Wow what an awful comment. Who says that
What a treasure...... and very handsome. Have you had the "op" for him - is he entire?
Thanks! Do you mean is he neutered? If that's what you mean, no he is not
Yes! I couldn't think of the word! - old age creeping on! He has a lovely nature. @@bullmastiffnd9784
Got mine at the shelter when he was 6-8 months old. Sign on kennel said "i will be big boy!" Is he ever!
30" at shoulders and 155 lbs behemoth of love and joy!
What is his protective instincts like? Does he patrol your house and notice when things are out of place? Is he wary of strangers?
He definitely patrols the house/yard and notices when things are out of place. He loves all people and has never been stand offish with people but we raised him that way
@@bullmastiffnd9784 Mine has never been stand offish with people but he did react to a person swearing and stomping angrly coming towards us. kinda keep him on lead all the time now. cause i don't think if he did react there would be an off switch. He is the most friendly dog i have ever owned but still they are protective.
Love my Bullmastiff "Bo". Best dog ever. Thanks for the update. Been watching your videos from day one. Tua looks great
Thank you!
hi, my new dog is an American bull mastiff, she is 13 months old atm, i think the original name is african ridge back, she has zig zags on her back and down her tail, her weight atm is 30kgs, i started her off on raw food, she also has dried food when she wants it..
wow 172 pounds.., big guy.. 🐕😊
Very big!
@@bullmastiffnd9784 He's a tank. I have a Presa Canairo dog which almost 2 years old. He's 22 inches tall at the withers. His weight is about 120 pounds. Has a 22 inch neck, 35 inch chest when he's not flex it. My dog doesn't seem to have much fat on him either. He seems kind of lean in the stomach area, not skinny though. Dog built thick every where else. I'm thinking once he get past 2 years old his metabolism might slow down.
John are you using joint supplements, probiotics and vitamins. My guy is approaching 19 weeks.
Thank you for confirming the stick chewing Cuz my boy wants to chew every stick or broken limb he can find. The energy level is high and those teeth and claws hurt!! I am training basic obedience but I’ve learned these dogs really do have a stubbornness to them at times.
Yes, I use doggie dailies. They contain glucosamine and some other vitamins. I don't believe any probiotics though.
Yes when they are young they are chewing machines and energy can be high! I do t miss the sharp teeth!😂
Ours gets the zoomies every night around 9-10. It doesn’t matter if she was exercised recently or not. Our previous Bullmastiff
did the same. Just curious if yours does?
Zoomies now for Tua are few and far between ha. When he was younger they were pretty consistent though
Wow, 170+ that is amazing 😮
Thanks for all the updates 👍😎
He's a real beauty!❤
Beautiful dog!
Très gentils ❤65 kg de tendresse
Big boy 👍
I see you have a small dog. I also have a small dog (3-year-old female chihuahua) and I am thinking of getting a mastiff breed, but I worry it might not be safe for the little one. I have quite a bit of experience with dogs and I understand that 99% of it is down to the training, but I still worry about such a large difference in size. Any advice would be appreciated :) Thank you!
Yes we have a 12 year old Min Pin. So very similar in size to a Chihuahua. When Tua was younger and much smaller, in his puppy stage, he tried to play pretty hard with her. We just made sure to never leave them alone together. Always supervising. Now that he's older he's super gentle with her 90% of the time and it's pretty much a non issue.
@@bullmastiffnd9784 Thanks a lot for your answer !
Update Pupdate! Yay Tua , Lookin’ good ! Thank u for all these videos. Being a 1st time BM owner I have found your channel to be a wealth of information.
My BM also gets very excited when company 1st arrives or if a family member comes to visit and Archie hasn’t seen them in a while. Basically he gets the zoomies big time and then gets as close as he can to the person, sits on their feet and demand attention from them. 😂
That is great to hear! Yes they can be a bit much when they are excited due to their size. Tua has definitely calmed down on this recently though!
Mine is the same, most friendly dog I have ever owned. If we all named them for what they are they would all be named Velcro
He's a great dog. My daughter has one and he is such a good dog
Bullmastiff is a great breed!
