I've just adopted a 7 yr old male bull mastiff. He's pretty laid back..needs some work on the leash for walks. I'm 80 and so far our relationship is pretty good.. definitely a great companion and watchdog.

Grizzly does the exact same thing. Pure bred. 2 years old 160Lbs. Question, my dogs nose is somewhat crusty. Any ideas? Vet said nothing to worry about. Da heck.

Man, it's scary how close my boy Barron is matching up with Tua. At 6 months it was an exact match. And again a pretty exact match. I was expecting dog that weighed 130 to 140. The way these guys are matching up, I'm starting to think I may have a 170+ Bullmastiff in my future. Here is his growth pattern. My bullmastiff does the exact same thing at the same time every day. I cant believe how accurate he is when its 4:30-5:00.

Our Rottweiler Anthony does this all day long.

They only relax after they mature.. while they are puppies you have a full blown rampaging brut .. but the biggest kisses and the best hair gel going.

I just love this breed. What an adorable pup! My BM (1 yr, 4 mo) Clarence, will do the stare-down too except when I do get his food ready, he'll wait a good 15-20 seconds before he crosses the room to come get it, like he's doing me a favor by eating it. So dramatic!

I always had very small dogs that were wonderful but then my daughter got a Bullmastiff who ended up living with me and it was the best dog ever. Loved her to bits and she was the sweetest, gentlest being ever. A powerhouse of love and a big mush but still a great protector. Great breed.

Tua is lookin' good. My dogs will do something like this as well. Not quite as roadblockish but we definitely know when he thinks its time for food even though its not time for food.

My dad used to work at a place with another guy before starting his own business who had a Bullmastiff. The dog's name was Winston, me and my brother used to visit the shop a bunch and we would walk Winston. He was the best dog ever and loved us big time and got all excited every time he saw us.

My boy is only 6 months old and drools like Tua.

This is similar to life with my boxer. Except higher energy. Glad to know that if we are happy with our boxer we will be happy with a bullmastiff too.
