I was trying to find the best lecturer on schema theory in youtube since 1 hour, but could not find it yet. Now I got your lecturer. Well explained Sir. thanks for your great efforts.
Excellent video, I have just one note regarding the computer metaphore you use - wouldn't it be more accurate that hardware is the brain and software (operational system) is the mind? Like this, you could also explain your remark why in the definition of schema you prefer to use the term "mind" over "brain".
Thanks a lot sir for your concept clarification in this theory. I really appreciate your way of teaching sir. Really really impressed by your method of teaching :)😇😇😇
When covering the studies as evidence behind your claims, do you have to use the structure of Aim, Procedure, Results and conclusion or would you still get the same marks if we describe the studies like what the revision guide does?
this is actually so useful, but i just wanted to know. is there a similarity between schema theory and template theory? also what's different about the two theories?
Dear Travis, would it be possible to use Griggs and Cox’s study on thinking and decision making to explore the concept of schemas . Specifically , touching on system 1 thinking and how it relies on quick, automatic responses derived from intuition ?
Hello, I have BPD,. I am medicated and used DBT for the past 7 years to be able to cope. I fully understand the schema theory, but how do you start to use it.
Is schema theory a model of memory? If we would get a question where we should contrast two models of memory can we use Working model and Schema theory?
For the IB Psych Exams, can schema theory be considered a model of memory? i.e. for questions that ask to compare models of memory could one of those models be schema theory...? thanks!

Is schema theory a model of memory? If we would get a question where we should contrast two models of memory can we use Working model and Schema theory?
Good question. I don't think this would be a wise approach, and you'd be better to contrast the working memory model and the multi-store model.
how did you do it can you share with me , thank you
thanks a lot

thanks!
I wouldn't risk it. Since you might be asked SAQs specifically about the MSM or WMM, I would recommend sticking to those as the models.
Awesome 💪🏻
