    Hi, what do you say is the paper type on the printer. I have a canon laser and it had trouble picking the paper up I guess.

      It’s smartsolve 3pt, there is a link in the video description. My canon hasn’t had any problems picking it up

    Once you chose the image do you have to size down or do you print the actual size of image you downloaded?. I just signed up for Canva so I have that program

    • @ClayBoxSupplies

      It depends on the image. For patterns I simply print four copies on one page and fill the page as much as possible. Some images you have to resize for sure. I just use whatever free apps are on my computer, I have a Mac so use a combination of Preview, Sketchbook and Pages. Unless you pay for Canva you might have trouble printing high quality images from there

    How long did you let the paper sit on top of the clay? I love your videos, thank you sooo, sooo much for sharing!

      That’s so nice of you to say, thank you. I don’t let it sit. Just make sure it’s burnished lightly onto the clay

    When I rub the transfer under the water, it smears. Any tips?

      Hi there. You are using a laser printed transfer? Did you wash it straight away?

    How do you search for patterns. I tried several different “phrases” and not much came up. Also, do you change the colors of some of them?

    • @ClayBoxSupplies
      @ClayBoxSupplies  7 місяців тому

      In this video I searched for Christmas but otherwise just search for “pattern”. They have lots that are free to use. No, I don’t generally change the colors. You could also try searching for digital papers

    Hi. Which one did you use. The 3pt or 5 Pt. I don’t know what’s the difference so I used the 3. Also does it matter which side you print on. Again I couldn’t tell the difference so I printed on the side that seemed to have a very slight texture.

      I think you might have trouble getting thinner paper to go through the printer

    Hi! I got it to print but when I try to dissolve the pattern comes out looking worn and not crisp. What am I doing wrong?

    • @ClayBoxSupplies
      @ClayBoxSupplies  Рік тому

      I have a couple of thoughts.
      - Many laser printers don't print really vibrant colors. I have the color density turned up on my printer.
      - I’ve had issues with really dark images you can see on my other video with the flowers how the dark spots want to hold onto the paper. So I stay away from really solid dark images
      - If paper is still left, you can wash and rub off the remains after baking
      - Finally, try adding a layer of varnish to perk up the image

    It says on my package of the same stuff you showed here that you can use inkjet...have you tried it?

    • @ClayBoxSupplies
      @ClayBoxSupplies  Рік тому +1

      Yes you can print on it with inkjet but then it will dissolve along with the paper so it won’t work with polymer clay. Check out my water slide video for one I did with inkjet.

      @ClayBoxSupplies  Рік тому +1

      @@wendyvarner3498 yes I really like how vibrant the colors are and you can adjust the color density too. I have found that any dark black colors tend to stay a bit sticky on the clay so I’m assuming there is something not quite compatible with polymer clay. I’ve stuck to images that aren’t really dark. I have no idea if other printer’s toner would have the same problem
