- Old Nightwish Fan who didn't even know there was a new singer since Anette! Listening to Storytime this time - I've heard this song a few times with Anette and I remember it being a good one, so was super excited to listen to it with Floor and I wasn't disappointed at all!

She is so good at leaving "just enough" like the original so they don't lose the original feel, yet add just enough change to make it her own and completely crush it in the process.🤘👍💯
That’s one of the things I love about Floor! She doesn’t butcher songs in the transition from studio to live. So many other singers can’t deliver live and end up making so many changes to make things easier for themselves. Floor’s delivery is consistent and she enhances most of every song she touches.
Floor supercharged the whole group... Whole new level!
I feel bad for Jukka having to bow out of the band just as it was entering the best part of their career.
Same here, but he is still a part of Nightwish, where he works behind the scenes (as a manager I think, but not certain).

I was incredibly sad he had to but I commend him on taking the step to better himself. It takes an incredible amount of strength and conviction to do what he did.
Insomnia is no joke. At least he is still with them.
He still was the official drummer up to a few weeks ago.. but Kai is getting the credit finally after 5 years. Different stage presence but both amazing drummers!
Not knocking any of the previous singers but Floor has the dynamic that Nightwish really needed to go with their dynamic music. She is great in all the styles she uses, she's great at letting all the proper emotions of the lyrics come out, and on top of that she has great stage presence. Greatness all around. It's very easy to see why the whole band has gotten more energy with her.
Dark Chest of Wonders will blow you away. It's the opening song of the concert, and Floor has them eating out of her hands from her first moment on stage.
I don't think his videos need more Dark anything ...
They look so happy because they know they hit the jackpot with Floor! BTW, have you ever heard Floor hit a wrong note during a live performance? Neither have I.
I've heard her miss one note ever. She cracked one early on in After Forever - Beautiful Emptiness live at Pinkpop
Seriously though, one single note ever is amazing.
I have, she tried The Phantom of the Opera once with Joacim Cans. She failed on that final high note that Tarja did on the End of an Era-version. So at least we know she's human. :-)

I saw another performance with Joacim from the Christmas Metal Symphony and she sang the whole song better than Tarja ever had. That´s the problem of the mobilephone videos on UA-cam!

You seriously need to start listening to more of Floor's originals with Nightwish at least. Especially The Greatest Show on Earth as well

My inner fan girl jumps, runs, screams and faints when I listen to this song. This is my favorite one, it made me fall in love with the band. Everything in this video is perfect and emotional, the energy from the band and the crowd, Floor killing it, the band having fun while playing and watching Thoumas smile, perfection.
This concert is the best concert I've ever seen in person or on DVD. I have the Storytime DVD and I think I've watched it at least six times now.
Floor just spread Tuomas's wings her voice gave him more freedom in his music and lyrics writing and the good thing about her is that the rest of the band feel comfortable with her

It's like having an old TV and you loved it was in color instead black and white, and now with Floor you see everythjng again in 4K (or 8K).
All the members of Nightwish were really shy when they started performing live. Tuomas has commented many times how they just stood at their spot while playing live and how when Marco came to the band he really stepped up their live game. I think they became the happy energetic band with Anette, she had that happy/energetic presence and with Marco I feel like they really found the energy on the stage and have kept that going ever since.
Legends say that FLOORS windmill can generate power to supply an entire city for 50 years.

The entire Wacken 2013 show is just like... The evolution of what we mere mortals know as Floor Jansen.
She enters the stage as an amazon, and when she starts singing she evolves into a siren.
Then, at 7:00 in this video, she ascends into angel. And then again at 8:45 she evolves into goddess.
Then she makes like a resume of all the transofrmations throughout Ghost Love Score, then finishes off that song proving her supreme omnipotency!
One of my top 3 Nightwish songs since Commander Floor saved them.

I've watched your reaction a few times now and I have the exact same reaction. I don't think I've ever heard any singer sound this good live. No wonder NW have this energy. They have confidence that their lead singer will bring it.
I'm trying to be impartial here but I can't. Floor is just the most outrageously epic singer I've ever heard. This is live!!! How??!!
Look at that sly smile on Tuomas's face as he peers over the keys. Floor brings that smile to all of their faces.
At the end of the show (last ride of the day) as they leave the stage, there ist a 2 second sequence Tuomas pat floor on the shoulder "well done"
I saw Nightwish with all their different vocalists and in my opinion Floor just the best of the three. She loves Metal, she has a stage presence unmatched and a voice you only can kneel before her. Don´t get me wron, I also love Tarja and Annette but Floor is just more "complete". The show in Wacken was awesome (as I have been there ;) ). Let´s hope the upcoming album gonna be as awesome as the last one.

It's really great and awesome to see how you enjoy this Nightwish show and what Floor brought to the show. I have myself seen and heard this hundreds of times .. I can not cease to amaze me that even if the opinion is listening again Nightwish reaction videos, which is already a lot, so in the same sense a storm is repeated and repeated. One of Floor's best performance. This was Jukka's last concert? He is a outstanding drummer, but Wacken he was over the top, absolutly amazing.

I keep forgetting that some of the band members are getting kind of old nowadays and I always startle a little when I see all the wrinkles on their faces in interviews, because when they perform together, they all just look so young and alive.
There is so much life to them whenever they make music together. :D

Also, just to point out how crazy good Floor is, this night, at Wacken 2013...Floor had only been on stage, with Nightwish, for 10 months...and hadn't even been announced as their offical vocalist.
I had a lot of fun watching the video for Ghost Love Score, live in Buenos Aires. For me, Floor's performance was every bit as good as this one, but, more impressive... she had only been singing for Nightwish for less than 60 days.
And, to show their "approval," of Floor, as a potential replacement for Annette and Tarja, after GLS ends, the crowd begins chanting, "FLOOR. FLOOR. FLOOR. FLOOR!"

Don't know why people say Tarja was not as good.She was with Nightwish at the beginning of her and their career.Now both Nightwish and Floor are much more experienced and had many more years learning the art of performing and it won't happen but would love to see Tarja with Nightwish to see how she has evolved as singer

They actually look like a band having a great time together. They've all got huge success with their other projects, but finally they've gathered an insanely talented bunch of people that genuinely like and respect each other. Troy was an equally important addition too though.

They really do give their all in every performance. We saw them in Kansas City, MO for the Decades tour. Although the venue was small and the crowd was a bit somber, Floor was jumping around and trying her best to get people hyped. She and the rest of the band performed as brilliantly as they have at any festival.

Everything you are feeling about Floor is the same thing we all are! She is a truly incredible professional without equal. If you loved this rebirth, just wait till you hear how she rebirths Dark Chest of Wonders and Ghost River from Imaginarium!
Also a reborn NW-fan, never liked Anettes style or voice even, was really disappointed when I first heard Dark Passion Play and I basically just moved on from NW. Last year I stumbled upon the Wacken show and well, you can guess the rest. :)
Been watching your vids for a while now and I agree with the energy, synergy and the overall mood in the performances, even Tuomas is smiling in every song nowadays. Floor is stage beast...Old Finnish myths are all collected to book and name of that book is "Kalevala". There is a person who was so great singer that he sunk other singers to the swamp just with singing skills.
Surely it is possible that this person has reborn with name Floor Jansen.
So how you sing some one to the swamp? Floor shows how...
By the way, Nightwish have published first dates for 2020 world tour, first dates are from South America but I guess that quite soon they will publish US dates...Be there!
For me this will always be the definitive version and performance of this song.
You are so right on! Energy pours off of the screen! As a musician, when you hear and see an incredible singer such as Floor bringing your music to life it overwhelms you as an artist. The ending part where Floor adds some extra ahhhs and yeahs just takes it over the top! With all respect, I dare say that Annette could not pull that off, or even Tarja. Those parts are pure emotion. Forever Floor, the Valkyrie Queen! Wait until you here how Floor pulls off" Everdream" from the same show. The ending is breathtaking!

Kai is amazing drummer, just like Jukka is. But yes, difference is that Jukka is also a showman, he has this presence and charm and action but never overdoing it. You can see that he is in music, fully. So is Kai, he's just more stoic, more calm. But as drummers? Both are absolutely amazing.
This comment might be long but...I’ve been watching your reactions and it’s been so much fun, I’ll just say everything here then:
I’m also an old Nightwish fan, I first heard of them in 2002 and was hooked. I loved their music and adored Tarja, I actually cried when they split.
When they released the new albums with Anette I tried listening but I didn’t love it. Seeing them playing the old songs was very disappointing. Anette is a good singer, has a very unique voice... but I feel it didn’t fit well with Nightwish, even in the songs that were made for her, I felt that something was missing... it was like trying to cut a huge steak with a plastic knife 😂.
Anyway, I knew Floor from After Forever, but never saw them playing live... so when I heard Nightwish hired her, I thought it made sense, since she could do the operatic bits and had a strong voice. But I never got to checking it and forgot about it.
So 2 years ago I was down memory lane listening to old Nightwish and got curious about how Floor would sing “Ever Dream” and that was it. I’m converted and a huge fan of hers and Nightwish again. I got to see them live last year and it was the best experience ever.
I love seeing them playing, they seem genuinely happy and energetic. Floor really likes what she’s singing and it shows... she’s perfect for the band, even more than Tarja I believe.
So I’m having lots of fun watching your reactions, they’re very similar to mine.

The songwriting was just so much better during the Annette years. But floor has the skills to take great songs to higher heights.

Everytime i hear Nightwish with Floor i can only think about how much better they sound with her. With Tarja i get the feeling she took away to much tempo with the drama voice she had, Annet was nice but lacked power in the voice, and Floor is the perfect mix and 10x more versitile.
I saw them last year in Munich and Stuttgart (Germany). They are in every show like this, not only for the DVD. Floor make the old songs (Slaying the Dreamer) more Nightwish songs and the energy they now have, make´s really Floorgasm-Addicted. But not only Floor make´s the difference, it´s Mr. Pipes (Troy) too. At the concert he sang The Carpenter (orig. Toumas) and play some crazy shit on his pipes like Last of the Wilds (Wacken 2013) or Elvenjig (last year). On the Guitar he´s really good too.
An amazing band and with Floor they’re spectacular...get ready for the tour in 2020....can’t wait.

I was very emotional when I found out Jukka had left the band. When I found out I thought it was an incredible show of conviction. For him to walk away when he did to save himself essentially I commend him.

I miss Jukka I love the way he plays. it is so freaking cool. He's just such a freaking bad ass. This whole song destroys me. This is for sure one of my favorites. That's a long list though. this version and also the Tampere concert version. Floor moves around the stage a lot in that one. It's really cool to see that. That's another whole concert you should check out.
I love all the stuff from beginning to now, but they are so ridiculously good live now. And I think Floor has a large part of that. she is an insanely amazing stage presence front woman. And you can tell the whole band is loving this.
You were right in your first pronunciation, "Imaginaerum" (aer as in "air"). The album was originally going to be titled "Imaginarium" until it was decided too many other things were named that & there would be issues & confusion. Inside the song it was left as is.

There is a part, after Jukka (Yūka pronunciation) starts hammering on the drums, Floor is vocalizing a part that Annette did not, could not. Compare the versions, you’ll catch it. :)
This is an excellent performance BUT, truth be told, the Tampere live from 2015 is even better.
Absolutely NOT knocking Anette - but when I heard this performance my first thought was "Oh, THAT'S how this song should be!"
