- In this episode of the abandoned building renovation, we take a road trip to see the manufacturing of my kitchen doors and drawer fronts at the Rehau manufacturing facility in Michigan.
This is the 3rd video in the kitchen renovation series in my abandoned building. In it, Rehau uses their space age tools to manufacture the doors and drawer fronts for all of my kitchen cabinets.

ARIAT WORKS, it would be cool to win, never worn a pie of these boots but have heard a lot of good things about them and are supposed to be comfortable to wear.
Like the look of the doors, can’t wait to see them I stlled.
I'd love some Ariat Work gear for my family this holiday season!

I really enjoy the “behind the scenes” type of vlogs. They add another layer to the whole experience that makes you realize how much coordination and planning it takes to make your visualizations a reality.
Agreed - especially when a creator of his talent sources out a project or portion of, the additional "behind the scenes" is always cool.
I also love watching the co-op builds, then watching the other channel's take on it - like the tree stump tables posted recently.
Agreed. I love seeing all the awesome tools these places use.
Yeah me too. Could not agree more. 👍
On top of what James said, knowing where you got your stuff and the equipment they use to create it, knowing the price it cost could help explain why the end product that you purchased is so expensive. Especially when you see the work environment and you assume "oh it's just a guy pressing a button," you understand why and it's because of the very expensive equipment.
I actually really like to see other manufacturing processes. Really interesting to see how professional people do it. Those doors look awesome.
Ariat work
I don't remember when they started but I always enjoyed the factory tours on This Old House and the New Yankee Workshop.
I love seeing companies that are cool with people filming their work. Makes me feel that they are proud of the product.
Hey mate. Love how the build is coming alone. Just wanted to say. I work for a saw blade sharpening company in England. I go to loads of company's that do this!. When I first started the job I would just watch the machines work.
The one you showed in video. A few company's here have a similar machine. They use a main 310mm blade with 72 teeth and the scorer or scriber to cut under the board is a 150mm with 28 teeth. The edge bander machine didn't see it in video but the blocks they use to trim the edge of the board so it's even flatter to add the edging are pcd blocks (diamond tip blocks)
Anyway yeah just wanted to give you my in site to my day to day life with seeing theses machines.
I was not expecting a video so soon. This is great 🎉
“Ariat work”
I loved seeing the behind the scenes of the workshop and how those awesome machines worked! Thank you!
I like it. It's still about your warehouse/kitchen build but a glimpse into a part of the process most people never get to see, so that is cool. Can't wait to see the kitchen coming together next time!
im loving all the video content related to the work on the house whether its behind the scenes vlogs to the more traditional installation videos. It's great to see the entire process and the work you put in to make your dream home a reality. challenges and all!
Bet you didn’t think “Ariat” was gonna make us “work” for this Ariat Work giveaway. Glad you left that law job to build full time! Great videos!
Respect to that bell button, it really delivers!
This was a ton of fun to watch. It's been a blast seeing the transformation of your abandoned building!
The kitchen is coming along great! Thanks to Ariat Work for supporting amazing creators like Mike!
So stoked to see this building coming along!!! It's looking amazing.
Gotta love Ariat Work doing giveaways! Great products!
Love this style, especially the comparison at the end! Think it would be cool if every now and again you visited a shop to show us some of the more expensive but dope tech they use in commercial stores!
I enjoyed it - I'm mainly here to see the transformation of the building but (as my husband complains whenever we go to any hardware type store) I have a bit of a power-tool addiction, so I'm happy to see bigger, more expensive tools in action.
Ariat work- great giveaway, already ordered my new work denim from them this week but would always love more
Love the series so far, been cool to follow along and see not only the successes but also the struggles you’ve run into along the way. Thanks for the honest representation!
Could also see some “ARIAT WORK” boots in my future, my last pair is about to kick it now!
I'm in the process of remodeling my kitchen as well. You've given me lots of inspiration. Thanks for all of the info! "Ariat Work".
ARIAT WORK I am so excited for this kitchen to come together, following this series since last year has been an awesome journey!
I am excited to see everything finially come together. I can't imagine how ready you're to be able to get a finishing point. [ # Ariat Work ] I like the Vlog / Field trip videos. Keep being awesome!
Digging the color combo of the doors, cabinets and the (expected color of the) concrete countertops.
“Ariat work”
The behind the scenes look at a manufacturing facility was really cool. Amazing how those machines work.
As someone who runs a commercial level cnc router and a lower level homag edgbander daily its still cool to see other shop setups. It never gets old
Enjoyed the field trip. Always fun to see how things are made. Part of my work early in my career involved surveying manufacturing facilities so I got to see how a lot of things are made.
That mural behind you still amazes me. Cool to see the doors being made. That finish looks awesome. Many thanks to Ariat Works for the giveaway too.
I like seeing these how it’s made type videos. Really cool to see the amount of work and tech that goes into these factory and DIY products. Pretty dang cool.
That was super fun! Even as an avid How It's Made fan & someone familiar with industrial processes I was SUPER impressed with that edge banding machine they had! VERY COOL!
Yes very cool! Loved the trip to a high tech manufacturing facility and I loved that you are the one that took us through on a tour. I would definitely enjoy more field trips like this one.
2 videos in 1 week, wow! I renovated a large project like this a while back and since I discovered your channel during shutdown I have been mesmerized. Can’t wait to see what you do with the ceiling in the kitchen/living room area.
ARIAT WORK
Thanks for sharing, I find it totally interesting to see how they do the whole process. Kitchen is going to be kick ass when it’s finished
ARIAT WORK - Thanks for showing this "How It's Made" video. I always loved these as a kid and still do. Mister Rogers was my introduction to these type of videos!
Ariat Work!- I started following the house renovation since episode 1 and even though I doubt I will ever do this I totally wanna build my own house how I want to! (With professionals of course)
ARIAT WORK - I’ve been subscribed for over a year now and I look forward to the videos! This video definitely hit home for me. I worked for a similar company for two years just to see similar machinery brings back memories. Thank you!
Ariat Work-great video. I was late to your series so I binged them all. Love the progress that you’re making, it’ll all be worth it when you are done.
Nothing better than seeing how things are made in the factory. Yes for more. Hi from Oz
Ariat Work - so glad you are getting so far in this project. It has been enjoyable watching your growth and design!
ARIAT WORK!!!
Their boots are all I wear on our family farm! They hold up amazingly from fieldwork to herd management.
Your kitchen makes me want to revamp my own but I love the nostalgia that is. My grandparents worked hard on this house.
It’s crazy how far this has come. Quite an amazing journey you have been on with the transformation. Can’t wait to see the countertops!! Ariat works
Big thanks to REHAU for allowing you to film the manufacturing process, very cool to see the industrial "Big-Boys" tools.
Ariat work
I work in a cabinet shop in Washington. It's nice to see you tour a competitor. I've been following you since before the loft renovation. Keep up the hard work and innovation.
Ariat Work- Been following you for the whole journey and I have to say, you're the only ad promotions I don't skip through. Love the effort and I love the sponsors you choose. Keep it up. 👍
I love seeing manufacturing processes. Also, sometimes it's a great way to learn options like that even exist!
Yes exactly this. Even if we may not be able to afford their product, the inspiration knowing that such a process exists can kind of alter our thinking and incorporate that within our budget.
Great job on the video. It reminds me of This Old House when they go on field trips to see how things are made for their projects.
Ariat work - Love following your channel and watching all of your updates on this awesome project. I think the behind the scenes stuff is cool to watch. Looking forward to seeing the kitchen when it's all finished!
I echo everyone else’s comment about the “behind the scenes” videos. Just live the process and thanks to Ariat Works for being so generous!!! Looking forward to more concrete videos!
Ariat Works - it was fun field trip to see the industrial equipment. Cool behind the scenes. Looking forward to seeing the finished product
Love these sorts of videos. I always loved when the TOH guys went to a manufacturing facility. And I was a fan of "How it's Made". So you had me at go.
I've loved this series! I'm excited for you and Kat to have it be finished!
Ariat Work
Ariat Work....keep doing this style video and your regular vids too...both are very enjoyable to watch man! Thanks for the hard work and taking us along for the journey!
Thanks for still having Ariat Work as a sponsor. Very practical products!
"ARIAT WORK"
Love your channel and always look forward to a new installment. It's really awesome how Kat has jumped right in helping.
Seeing how the stuff gets made is cool. It helps understand the price of good quality pieces.
Ariat Work - Awesome cabinets, wish I had seen some of this before I did my kitchen! Makes me want to buy, demo and remodel another house!
"ARIAT WORK".. Been watching the reno from the beginning. I have to admit I am more into Miniatures and trash to treasure, watch a lot of home improvement shows, but I am Loving all the cool tools and watching your dream come to life. TY for sharing your journey.. Merry Christmas.....
I so love seeing what you are doing with the building! So keep doing it and let "ARIAT WORK" for you!
Ariat work. I'm loving this process, I'm in the middle of remodeling my 1970's era POS kitchen. I hate it, and you're giving me some great ideas. Thank you.
"ARIAT WORK"
I'm so glad the first episode showed up in my recommended. I've watched every one since then on release day! Feels like it's been forever since the start.
“ARIAT WORK”
Absolutely love the videos! Seeing this whole process of you building your dream home has gotten me to want to do some work to make my dream home as well! Thanks for the content and all the tips you give along the way!
I love your videos, so even if this one doesnt really show an updates, its still great to see whats happening! So yeah make more as long as it doesnt slow you down!
Wow, that's a serious operation. Love the tech involved in this.
"ARIAT WORK" I like the kitchen build. I did this a couple years ago with the same approach. Built the boxes and ordered the door / slats / drawer boxes and I stained installed them all. A lot of work but it paid off in the end.
Ariat Work. great products. I had Ariat boots when I lived in Iowa.
My family had a large architectural millwork shop. My dad started w a table saw and some hand tools in a 40'x80' shop. He expanded over 20+yrs to 55k sq ft shop. Holzma panel saw was the first pc of automated equipment. CNC routers, boring machines and at the time a darn good edging machine for the time. We sold in 2000 as I had no desire to continue the business. It was not fun anymore with all the regulators dipping deeper and deeper into our profits. I love that I can see just how much this industry has expanded over the past few decades.
I am a beachbum now lol
Ariat Work
This project keeps getting better. Watching you motivates me to do better work!
I like how excited you are about the behind the scenes stuff!
This information...ALL GOOD! I enjoy learning about the differences; what to DIY and what not to!
Ariat Work.
This has been a really interesting series to watch overall. Appreciate the content you provide, the behind the scenes, the editing style, etc. Keep up the good work!
Hey, this video is like going back to work. We have all of these machines and more. So much fun.
Wow... how awesome is this! Ariat work! Totally inspiring! I love how everything just turned out so cool!!!
Awesome video! I've been watching the reno from the beginning and it's amazing to see how far this whole thing has come.
ARIAT WORK
Such a cool process. I love seeing professionals using high end machinery.
ARIAT WORK
I am here for you and your content, you are doing great! One of the great components of the old building shows on TV was the "field trips" to the manufacturer's. All your content is definitely worth my time to watch. Always look forward to it! Also really enjoying the incorporation of your girlfriend into the videos as well as your family in the last one. I came here for the renovations, but am enjoying the concrete and artsy stuff too. God Bless y'all!
"Ariat Work" It was cool to see some local Michigan products for your doors and the behind the scenes of there operation was amazing. Keep up the amazing videos.
Very interesting...thanks for sharing this part of the process.
Can’t wait to see the full build and love how Ariat Work for you and everyone.
I really enjoy a few quick update vlog style videos in between the longer more produced ones.
I love this new type of content. Way to mix it up
and offer viewers some specialty content, while relating it back to the build!
I thought Rehau sounded familiar in the last video until I saw the logo in this episode and it finally clicked. They are originally from a few towns over here in rural Bavaria where I went to school but I never knew how big they actually are and what awesome work they do in so many different fields and on a global basis till I looked into it just now.
Keep up the great work on your building and enjoy your new kitchen! 🙂
“Ariat Work” been fun watching this channel grow over the last few years. Thanks!
Ariat Work! This is such a great company. I am so happy this is what they chose to do.
This was really fun! Thank you for taking us behind the scene of this cool and so advanced factory :D
Cabinets are looking fantastic! Thanks Ariat Work for the awesome holiday giveaways!
Awesome project coming along. Building those custom cabinets seemed like so much work but I'm sure it'll be worth it in the end. Can't wait to see the final reveal.
Ariat work
Very fun behind the scenes video! Excited to see the kitchen coming along. ARIAT WORK
ARIAT WORK

Its nice to see how some of the stuff gets made that is put into the renovation
Thanks for the factory tour; the technology is impressive. Ariat Work.
Those doors are so nice! The behind the scenes of the process is cool to see too. Ariat Work
“ARIAT WORK” Well done. Congrats on the cabinet doors. Like the new format, all content is worth watching! Thanks!
Ariat work:
Man, I like building speakers. I've never considered building speaker cabinets like kitchen cabinets, but I am now! That black is amazing. Thank you! PS; I've enjoyed every video I've seen, regardless of the style. Vloggy or not. Just don't stop, please. I look forward to every video you release. 👍
I actually work in a facility just like this, having experience on a similar saw and edge bander, along with similar experience and self taught skills for home shop stuff I can tell you that home made stuff is way more fun and fulfilling but being able to use those kinds of machines and having access to them makes every single process you could think of 1000% faster
this was a nice behind-the-scenes twist to your kitchen. Cool to see how it's done in the facory vs DIY, also the difference in quality is interesting to know.
My wife and I our slowly remodeling our home. It's great to see that, yes, progress is possible. LOL. Ariat Work.
Ariat Work - Great video! Enjoyed seeing the building process and all those incredible tools!
Love this one. Nice way to mix it up, and who doesn’t love seeing wicked tools in action!
Loved seeing the process and the equipment, a great video, I look forward to every single one coming out.
Ariat work
I like that Ariat work is a sponsor for your channel. I liked the behind the scenes look at the door and drawer front making process.
